Welcome And Today’s Setup
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is MediaBound, Just Steve Pellethieri, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Sunday. It is the third day of the month of May 2026. It looks like our weather is going to be pretty nice today. A little bit below normal temperature-wise, and it'd be a possibility of some frost across northwestern New Jersey, interior of Pennsylvania, south and eastern New York State, away from the city. Most coastal areas, though, you're going to have temperatures up a bit there, closer to 40 for nighttime lows tonight. But uh daytime today, highs of rains into the low to middle 60s, 50s, north and west, breezy northwest winds at 10 to 20 miles per hour. Now for the evening, it'll be partly cloudy down to about the upper 40s and lower 50s in the east, but uh about the 35 to 40 interior spots. Daytime Monday, a sunny and warmer day, all the way up to 74. Really start getting into some very nice springtime weather. By Tuesday, sunshine 84, well above normal. And then a possibility of some much needed showers. That'll be on Wednesday, Wednesday night, Thursday. And then we get into a clearing trend. Front moves through. Friday looking like a sunny day and highs generally in the 60s. So your best chance of some rain probably on Wednesday, Wednesday night, and Thursday. Right now, we're seeing the possibilities of maybe between a third to two-thirds of an inch of much-needed rainfall. In the meantime, if you're traveling by air today, nice conditions across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast, no problems weather-wise, from DC up to Philadelphia, New York, and even the Boston area, all looking fine. Plenty of fine weather also in Charlotte and Atlanta, no problems there. South Florida, some scattered showers and thunderstorms could slow things about into Fort Lauderdale and Miami, even down around West Palm. Possibility of some afternoon thunderstorms. Dry in Houston and Dallas, some rain showers, but nothing much in the Chicago areas. That strong cold front moves through over the next 24 hours. And does look dry on the west coast from LA and San Diego. Looks like we'll have dry weather from the Portland and Seattle area during the afternoon and evening today. So no major problems weather-wise. As we take a look uh unto uh Monday, uh the weather's still good in the east in Atlanta, down in South Florida, Houston, Dallas, fine, but looks like rainy weather into Chicago in midday. Could be some delays going into the lower Great Lakes. Also, some rainy weather developing around San Francisco and also over interior California. Even the possibility of San Diego and LA with some wet weather, but it does look dry in Portland and Seattle. Once again, it looks like some very nice weather for you Sunday. Hope you have a great day. And it looks like some nice weather for Monday and Tuesday as well. Then we get into that rainy pattern midweek. I'm Steve Pelletier. Talk to you first thing tomorrow. See you then.
