Rainfall Recap And Why It Matters

And uh weekend that across the mid-Atlantic and north is actually east of the Mississippi. It's very wet with uh some much needed rainfall. It has been very dry in April and May in the east, and finally a little bit of rainfall, and it is welcome news. Also, uh, welcome to see some improving weather as we head into this upcoming last week of the month of May.

Clearing Trend And Warm Week Ahead

And we are looking at a clearing trend for Tuesday, Sunshine Wednesday into the mid-80s, and Thursday also. Very warm day, near 80 degrees, 77 for a high on Friday, and dry weather for Saturday and Sunday. So, yes, it has been wet for the holiday weekend, however, it's life-giving, much needed rainfall. And uh, we're going to get into a dry trend that will most likely continue into next week as

Today’s Forecast And Rain Chances

well. And for today, it's going to be overcast, still the possibility of some showers. 75. You might see some breaks in the overcast during the afternoon. A probability of rainfall, though, when you're really going around 90% for the Mid Atlantic and Northeast. Some clouds at night 58. Tuesday's looking good, partial sunshine 81. Wednesday, mostly sunny 85, and as mentioned Thursday and Friday, both days near 80. Some very nice spring weather coming up for this week.

Travel Outlook Across Major Cities

If you're traveling on to some Memorial Day Monday, a clearing trend most likely up in the Boston area. So southern New England, we'll get into some improving weather, and some of that improving weather will be with us during the afternoon hours and the early going on Monday. Still uh lots of moisture and low-level cloud cover in the New York, Philadelphia, Maryland, and also DC area. Even that Charlotte looks like some rain, rainy weather also in Atlanta. That's three days in a row there, looking at some rain. Uh, southern Florida, not too bad, just some scattered showers, and still some drizzle, fog, and some showers at Houston, but drying out a bit in Dallas Fort Worth. Looks like good weather in Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Paul. And some rain finally moving into the Pacific Northwest. They've had some beautiful weather last few days. Uh, looks like Seattle, Tacoma will be overcast with rain. A similar situation in Portland, San Francisco, increasing clouds, LA. Also the possibility of a few scattered showers, but no major weather expected for this Memorial
