Welcome And Today’s Date
SPEAKER_00Hi, this is Minnie Roger, Steve Fellethier, and I am the Weatherman. Thanks for checking into the WeathermanPod.com on your Saturday, 27th day of the month of June, 2026. And
Spotty Showers And Sun Saturday
SPEAKER_00a look at our weather for the Saturday does show some early cloud cover and some midday sunshine, but also the possibility of a passing shower or two. A lot of the showers have been hit and miss over the last several days. A lot of us stay across southern New Jersey, Del Marva, sections of Maryland and the DC area, northern Virginia. But it looks like there'll be more widespread showers during the latter afternoon and evening hours on Saturday, so a better chance of a little bit of rain. But it looks like the amounts at this point only about a tenth of an inch for the afternoon and early evening hours on Saturday. And then during the overnight, also maybe a tenth to a quarter of an inch in the possibility of a thunderstorm.
Dry Week Ahead And Building Heat
SPEAKER_00But after that, we get into some dry weather. Dry weather that'll probably last for a good balance of this upcoming week. So much needed rainfall is being elusive on this Saturday. But we do get into some better weather on Sunday. Highs today will get up to about 80, and tomorrow it'll be up to about 86 for Sunday. By Monday, also around the mid-80s. Low 90s for the last day of the month on Tuesday. Here's a look at the remainder of the week. Sunny and hot on Wednesday, 90 to 95. Mid to upper 90s expected for Thursday, all with sunshine. Mid to upper 90s on Friday as well with a sunny day expected.
Early Fourth Of July Outlook
SPEAKER_00Maybe a little bit of uh some late-day thunderstorm action on the 4th of July Saturday, but temperatures will be also ranging in the upper 80s and lower 90s, just about what you normally expect for the 4th of July.
Air Travel Delays And Storm Timing
SPEAKER_00Now, if you're traveling by air today, as mentioned a little bit earlier, we do see most of the rainfall expected across Maryland and uh northern sections of Virginia, West Virginia, and southern Del Marvo. So uh Philly and Baltimore and DC, probably the better chance of some scattered showers, some thunderstorms during the afternoon, so maybe some delays into there. Generally light delays into the New York area, also up into the Boston region. We're looking at some fairly decent weather with some scattered late day or early evening thunderstorms. And then down at Charlotte later in the afternoon and early evening rain showers, but uh similar situation for Atlanta, but nothing much, just on the light side, so no major delays getting into there. Central South Florida, scattered thunderstorms, especially in South Florida for the late afternoon hours. Most of the daytime should
National Weather Snapshot
SPEAKER_00be dry. Dry also in Houston, Dallas, Chicago, and Minneapolis, St. Paul. West Coast showing dry, but uh hot weather in LA and San Francisco. Rainy conditions continue up in Portland and in Seattle, Tacoma.
