Heat Advisory And Storm Chances

SPEAKER_00

well, we had some pretty heavy thunderstorms. Once again, rubble across the northeast over the last 24 hours. Looks like our weather situation for today is gonna be still on the hot side. We do have the heat advisory from the Virginia's northward all the way up into southern New England. And there's even the possibility of some late day or early evening thunderstorms. Although the probability yesterday was around 60%, it's lowered a bit to about 30% for today. The frontal system will be moving through some time this evening, and that should set the stage for a couple of days of some nice weather moving our way for both Sunday and Monday. A little bit further south down across maybe the Carolinas and the Virginias, you'll probably have some extra cloud cover and a little bit more extra shower and thunderstorm action as the frontal system probably will become stationary down there. Then the Bermuda High Effect takes back over, and we get into that southwest pump of Warburg and more humid weather as we head towards the middle portion of this week. Maybe another cold front towards the end of the week as well.

Detailed Weekend And Week Outlook

So the forecast in detail for today, good deal of sunshine, and our high temperatures for the day will range between 88 and 93 degrees. And look for the possibility of some afternoon-evening thunderstorms. But the heat advisor will continue until about 8 p.m. this evening. For the overnight, what looks like some showers and thunderstorms up until about maybe uh late evening, around midnight, Saturday night, early Sunday, overnight becoming partly cloudy, nighttime lows, back to near 70. That's where it's been for the last several nights. Then sunny weather on Sunday, temperatures of rains in the 80s, but to near 90 degrees, light winds mostly out of the west. Clear skies at night down into the 60s. Sunshine Monday, middle to opera 80s, Tuesday back to a chance of afternoon, evening thunderstorms, partial sunshine, high of 87 degrees for Tuesday. by air today, still have that frontal system working its way out of the eastern Great Lakes, moving through Ohio and sections of Indiana and down into northern Kentucky. That frontal system will be arriving in the east on Saturday evening. But showers and some thunderstorms, probably during the afternoon, early evening hours, will cause for some delays in the New York area. No major delays, but possibly if you're traveling into the evening hours, outbound or inbound, we're looking at a possibility of maybe one or two hour delays on Saturday evening because of those thunderstorms. Better weather for Sunday. And uh scattered showers likely into Charlotte, Atlanta, also some light rain or showers. No major problems, though. I don't see any major delays weather-wise, at least into the Atlanta area. Central and South Florida under scattered showers and thunderstorms. That's been that way for the last couple of days. Nothing major. And Houston's some rainy weather in the afternoon. Dallas Fort Worth, just hot and dry. And Chicago's looking dry, as is Minneapolis, St. Paul. All dry weather there.
