Now in its 5th year, with over 100 episodes, Swan Dive features inspiring people who had the clarity and courage to pivot in life and chase their dreams. Hosts and life-long friends, Ron Rothberg and Stu Sheldon, both made massive swan dives from successful careers in media and finance to the unknowns of content creation and fine art. Through failures and successes, both eventually found the soul satisfaction of becoming "who they wanted to be when they grew up." Their joyful wisdom graces each conversation with guests that include: legendary musical artists, National Geographic photographers, social justice warriors, clergy, journalists ... even Africa's first black, female brain surgeon. Each guest opens up about their unique emotional journey, their fear of the unknown, the grind of starting a new path and, hopefully, the world's embrace on the road to their most authentic selves. Nancy Hogshead-Makar - Gold Medal Master - 3x Olympic Gold Medalist
Nancy Hogshead-Makar won 3 golds and a silver at the 1984 LA Olympic Games. She received a law degree from Georgetown and has devoted her life to fighting for gender equity in sports. Three years before her Olympic triumphs, Nancy was brutally raped while attending Duke University. She feared she was too emotionally damaged to swim again, but the support of her coach and community in getting her back in the water after this trauma ultimately saved her life and her sanity. Nancy uses these profound life experiences as the CEO of Champion Women, an organization leading targeted efforts for equality and accountability in sport. Thanks to the tireless efforts of her team, in 2018, the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and SafeSport Authorization Act was finally enacted. Nancy continues to fight for the rights of women athletes every single day.
