Jill's guest, Sarah Adams Intuitive Consultant, offers professional tarot and astrology as well as channeling, reiki & chakra work.  She has been practicing tarot, astrology, energy work and doing various kinds of readings for 20 years. In this episode Sarah Adams discusses: Self-Care & Empath Survival

  • How to stay grounded, centered, connected to high self/divine, and stay shielded from low vibes during chaotic times/draining situations and just for good maintenance.  
  • Self-care is about learning what habits, routines, thoughts, people, places and things (including the food we consume) are good for you and what are not.  
  • Sometimes it means deciding to let go of what no longer serves us so we can embrace what does serve us. 
  • Self-care isn’t just about good daily physical routine, its also about emotional and spiritual hygiene. 3 bodies; physical, emotional and spiritual.
  • Self-care: The practice of taking action to preserve or improve one's own overall health.
    Empath: A person with the paranormal ability to apprehend the mental or emotional state of another individual. *Empaths are on the rise in the age of Aquarius. 
  • Empaths are those who are naturally sensitive and in tune with energy and others’ emotions.  

Self Care for the Mind: Meditation: Going within and centering:  looking within and drawing on our inner reserves . Visualization: during meditation or anytime, vision boards, also visualizing energy and protection, for example visualizing a protective bubble of white light around yourself or your children. Therapy: it works!   BOUNDARIES- sometimes self-care is having boundaries. Sometimes self-care is saying no. It can even mean cancelling plans.  Allowing yourself to do nothing and be alone when you need it is self-care. 
Boundaries with where you put your energy: Unplug from electronics, Social media detox (if you can),  Its ok to not answer texts right away. Turning off the news or putting down the phone when “Doom Scrolling."

Self Care for the Body; physical self care tools and actions : Exercise/Body work/Movement. Yoga/stretching/breathing (breathing is often not emphasized enough).  Walk- moving your body helps move energy. Go in woods, hug a tree.
Using Crystals- Crystals for each chakra (garnet, carnelian, citrine, rose quartz, lapis lazuli, amethyst, quartz),selenite and tourmaline for clearing and protection.
Herbal or Ayurvedic detox, as well as detoxing substances
Smudging: Sacred smoke to purify self, home, car, office: white sage, palo santo wood (from Peru, burns like incense), incense.  How to clear and bless you space- counter clockwise to remove energy.  Then clockwise to seal.  Use sage, palo santos, lavender and other sacred herbs.
Being around animals, Massage/reiki, Acupressure/Acupuncture, Sound healing-Sounding bowl, drums, shamanic instruments,Solfeggio frequency, Walking barefoot, Sleep- getting enough sleep .
