Speaker 1:

Welcome to Cosmic Scene with Jill Jardine.

Speaker 1:

I'm your host, Jill Jardine, Master's in Counseling Psychology, longtime professional astrologer, psychic, healer, yogi, and Sanskrit mantra instructor. In this episode, I'm going to activate Goddess energy in honor of the Vedic Festival of Navarathri, known as Nine Knights of the Goddess. You'll be chanting mantras along with me and feeling the divine love. So stay tuned. Welcome to the episode where I transmit Goddess energies through Sanskrit mantra and reading the Sri Sukhum, singing the praises of Lakshmi Goddess of abundance and prosperity in Vedic teachings. During October 2023, the festival of Navarathri, which occurs from October 15 through the 24th of October, the Goddess is celebrated and venerated in India. Navarathri is an annual Hindu festival observed in honor of the Goddess Dorgha, an aspect of Adi Parashakti, the supreme Goddess. This legendary festival celebrates the Goddess Dorgha and her victory over a demon. These include worshiping nine goddesses during nine days, decorations, recital of the legend, enacting of the story, and chanting of scriptures of Hinduism. Regardless of what tradition celebrates, the Goddess is an important aspect of our life, and it's important that we honor the feminine principle all year long. The Goddess energies have been worshipped on earth for years. Why? Well, the Goddess is also the manifestation of Mother Earth, Gaya, or Sophia. There's actually a Sanskrit mantra that recognizes the earth as Goddess. That divine earth goddess is an aspect of Lakshmi, Vedic Goddess of abundance known as Bhudevi. The mantra is Om Bhudeviye Namaha. Goddess represents the spark of divine energy that is within each of us and is the true essence of who we are. She represents home, the state of being that we all long for, nirvana, and bliss. The source of all power is feminine, according to my teacher, Thomas Ashley Faran. The name of that divine feminine power is Shakti. So anytime we chant a Sanskrit mantra, that is going to activate Shakti, but especially when we chant Sanskrit mantras that are dear to the Goddess. During the festival of Navaratri, there are nine nights of the Goddess. Goddess Durga is worshipped as Shakti, the deity of power for the first three days. The next three days she's worshipped as Lakshmi, the deity of wealth, and the last three days she is worshipped as Sarasvati, the deity of knowledge and wisdom. So join me in this episode as I transmit healing from the Goddess in the Vedic tradition. Chant these mantras in October and all year long. First I will chant the sacred hymn to Lakshmi known as the Sri Sukkham, the hymn to she who is at once Vishnu's spouse and the Shakti of Shiva. According to my teacher, Thomas Ashley Faran, because she is Vishnu's spouse, the Lakshmi feminine energy is automatically connected with the heart center. Because she is an emanation of Narayana, the primal cause of the universe, she is also automatically linked to the great power of manifestation or Kriya Shakti.

Speaker 1:

The Sri Sukkham found in the Sobagya Upanishad makes several references to the healing powers of Lakshmi as Sri through the solar plexus. The word Hiranya appears in the Sri Sukkham. This is short for Hiranya Garbha or the golden color quality of the sun. This golden color quality is associated with healing and with noble wealth or that wealth which is either honorably obtained or that which is used for the help of others in some way. Therefore, by listening to this Sukkham, you are activating healing abilities in that solar center and invoking noble wealth in your solar plexus. There is also a connection to the place in your astrological chart in the western method where your sun resides. You are invoking the principle of wealth in which ever sign your sun appears. If for instance you are a Taurus, then you are invoking wealth in your astrological blueprint in the sign Taurus as well as the solar plexus. Similarly, where your second astrological house is placed, you will invoke noble wealth Finally, the Hrānyā-Garbā principle is very closely associated with the healing energy of the sun. So listening to this Sukkham can bring in the healing energy related to the solar plexus, particularly where your sun sign is located and the placement of your second house. This Shri Sukkham can help in many ways at mitigating negative karmas. Now I am going to transmit the Shri Sukkham sacred hymn as translated by Sadguru Sankesh Vedas from the Sobagya Upanishad. I'm going to say it first in Sanskrit, so receive that sacred sound vibration and then I'm going to go back and read the meaning in English, which also has a very, very powerful transmission. So get into a place where you can relax and receive.

O all-knowing fire god, would you kindly propitiate Mahālāgśmi, the goddess of prosperity, one whose body has a golden color, one whose decked with gold and silver garlands, whose sari is yellow-colored and one whose face is like the full moon, as her eyes bless humanity with soothing grace. O Jatavīra, fire god, kindly tell her of our supplications. O Agni, the great fire god, with the blessings of Mahalakshmi, wealth and prosperity, gold and cattle, horses and useful animals, family and children and every type of prosperity will come to me. By the arrival of Goddess Lakshmi in my home, the prosperity will be imperishable, health, friends, knowledge, everlasting peace and finally freedom. All these types of wealth will be mine. That Goddess Lakshmi, in whose procession the celestial horses and the divine chariots are used, while the elephants roar the sound of Omm, that pleases the Goddess, she being Gajalakshmi or that Lakshmi that is worshipped by the elephants.

Speaker 1:

O Agni, I am invoking that power, the spouse of Vishnu, may I attain her grace. One who is sitting on the blossomed, thousand petal lotus, one whose body has the color of the lotus, may that greatest goddess, the compassionate, radiant, ever-smiling, fulfiller of all the desire of her votaries, hear my prayers. I invoke that mother Mahalakshmi of golden color. I invoke Mahalakshmi who shines like the full moon and like lightning. Her fame is all pervading. Denizens of heaven constantly worship her. She is munificent. Her benevolent hands are like lotus'es. I take refuge in her lotus feet. Let her destroy my poverty forever.

Speaker 1:

O Mother Lakshmi, I take shelter at your lotus feet. O universal Mother, shining like the sun, it is through your penance the holiest trees of Bilva and Tulasi are born. They symbolize the tree of life. The fruit of that tree removes our poverty both from within and from without. So bless us with inner light and outer independence and abundance.

Speaker 1:

O Devi, the great goddess, with your blessings let Kubera, the treasure of the gods, and his friend Manipadra, the protector of wealth, and Kirti, the goddess of fame, who is the daughter of Daksha and Prajapati, be mine. Hereby may all wealth and fame come to me, may my country be prosperous, may all be healthy and wealthy, prosperous and peaceful, may you shower such a grace. That goddess of hunger and thirst, one who is reduced to a skeleton, I would like the death of that goddess of poverty. O Mahalakshmi, may you kindly drive away any fear of poverty and inauspiciousness from my home. Bless me always with abundance and joy.

Speaker 1:

I invoke that supreme goddess Lakshmi to dwell in my home forever. She is the supreme power of protection and goddess of all universe and cosmic elements. She is Mother Earth, the bestower of great contentment. Her blessings are bringing us the fragrance of sandalwood paste. May that Ishwari be ever present in me. May Mahalakshmi fulfill all my desires. May I attain perfection. May my words come true. May I be bestowed with cattle, wealth, food, milk and honey to share with all. May that Sri Devi come to my home in the form of undying fame.

Speaker 1:

We are the Prajini of our Far-Father, Sage Gardama, who is one of the sons of the goddess Lakshmi. We invoke that Sage Gardama to install in this family the universal mother, Mahalakshmi, who is decked with garlands of lotuses. So be it. We invoke another son of Lakshmi, Chiglita. May he dwell in our home and may his mother Mahalakshmi dwell in our family.

Speaker 1:

O Agni the fire god, I once again pray unto you to invoke the presence of the Lakshmi Devi to be with us. That mother, who is merciful, blesses with her lotus hand. May that yellow cloud, lotus garland moon-faced goddess, shower her choicest cup of blessings upon us. O Agni, may you propitiate Mahalakshmi, the destroyer of demons, but the merciful one to her devotees. A bow of auspiciousness, bestower of true protection, extra-ordinarily beautiful, decked with valuable ornaments shining like a thousand suns. May that Heranya Mayi, the golden-colored goddess, be pleased with us. O Agni, please pray to that Lakshmi that we should be blessed with inexhaustible wealth. May that wealth bring the greatest joy and peace along with all the material comforts of cows, servants, horses, family, and good children, and highest of all freedom. May this Sri Sukha prayer to Lakshmi bring the highest blessings of joy here and hereafter. Had that's to.

Speaker 1:

Because Navaratri is honoring Durga, the first mantra we're going to chant today, is the Durga Foundation mantra, Om Dham Durga Ye Namaha. Om Dham Durga Ye Namaha, salutations to she who is beautiful to the seeker of truth and terrible in appearance to those who would injure devotees of truth. This mantra is for protection. It translates to salutations to Durga. Kindly protect me. Join me in chanting Om Dham Durga Ye Namaha. Om Dham Durga Ye Namaha. Om Dham Durga Ye Namaha.

Speaker 1:

The next mantra is for that aspect of Durga, amplified. Kali, salutations to the divine mother who is Kali. So this mantra though will use the seed sound clean, which is very protective if you're going to chant for Kali. Kali has two seeds, clean for attraction and cream. So we're going to do the version Om Clean Kali Kali Namaha. Om and salutations to she who is known as Kali. It's an easy Kali mantra. It will attract the blessings of Kali and the destruction of negative ego in oneself and others. So the mantra to the goddess Kali is Om Clean Kali Kali Namaha. Om Clean Kali Kali Namaha. Om Clean Kali Kali Namaha.

Speaker 1:

The next mantra is to Parvati, the aspect of Kali, Dharga, Divine Mother, who is the wife of Shiva. This Parvati mantra is very powerful because it has three seeds. The mantra is Areeem Shreem Kleem, Paramashwari Swaha. It is very powerful. It invokes the Divine Feminine. It helps you with the moon placement in your birth chart. And it's very protective. It also helps with relationships. It helps to improve relationships or can even attract a relationship.

Speaker 1:

Areeem Shreem Kleem, Paramashwari Swaha. The Areeem is for the Sacred Heart. Shreem is a seed for Lakshmi. Areeem is the seed for attraction and Paramashwari Swa is the name of Parvati and then Swaha is the salutation. So it is powerful because of the three seeds, Areeem Shreem Kleem. So here we go. Areeem Shreem Kleem, Paramashwari Swaha, Areeem Shreem Kleem, Paramashwari Swaha, Areeem Ream, shank, gleam, paramash, wari, swaha.

Speaker 1:

Ream, shank, gleam, paramash, wari, swaha. Ream, shank, gleam, paramash, wari, swaha. Ream, shank, gleam, paramash, wari, swaha. Ream, shank, gleam, paramash, wari, swaha. Ream, shank, gleam, paramash, wari, swaha. Ream, shank, gleam, paramash, wari, swaha. So those three above mantras were for Durga, Kali, Parvati, all part of the Durga principle.

Speaker 1:

Now I'm going to teach the foundation mantra for the Goddess of Creative Wisdom who's also honored during the Festival of Navaratri and that is Sarasvati. And her foundational mantra is Om Aaym Saraswati-e Swaha. Sarasvati is the Goddess of Creative Wisdom. This will help all spiritual pursuits.

Speaker 1:

Sarasvati gives mantras their power. Very beneficial for educational, musical and artistic endeavors. And you can chant for your own educational success or your child's success in school by chanting Om Aaym Saraswati-e Swaha. The seed for Sarasvati is Aaym. E-i-m pronounced Aaym. Om Aaym Saraswati-e Swaha Om Aaym Saraswati-e Swaha Om Aaym Saraswati-e Swaha Om Aaym Saraswati-e Swaha Om Aaym Saraswati-e Swaha Om Aaym Saraswati-e Swaha Om Aaym Saraswati-e Swaha Om Aaym Saraswati-e Swaha Om Aaym Saraswati-e Swaha Om Ayim Saraswatiye Swaha. Om Ayim Saraswatiye Swaha. Om Ayim Saraswatiye Swaha. Om Ayim Saraswatiye Swaha. Om Ayim Saraswatiye Swaha. Om Ayim Saraswatiye Swaha. Om Ayim Saraswatiye Swaha.

Speaker 1:

And then a mantra, the foundational mantra for Lakshmi, the goddess of abundance, who is also worshipped during Navaratri. Lakshmi is prosperity as wealth, the feminine power of manifestation, Shreem is her seed sound, and Lakshmi is the goddess of wealth, abundance, prosperity in all forms. The mantra is Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha. Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha. Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha. Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha. Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha. Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha. Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha. Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha. Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha. Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha. Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha. Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha. Om Shreem Mahalakshmiye Swaha.
