It's the third planetary player in the 2025 astrological shift, following the lunar node shift in January 2025 and Neptune nudging into Aries in March 2025. 2025. Saturn angles into Aries for a brief visit from May 24th 2025 through September 2nd 2025, and then revisits Pisces until the end of 2025 through February 13th 2026, when it begins its transit from February 13th 2026 through April 12th through Aries, with Neptune in Aries through 2028. These shifts will affect us personally and collectively, as two outer planets. Both changing into Aries heralds new energies pouring into the collectives. Planetary transits have long been revered as powerful indicators of cosmic energy shaping human experiences and collective evolution.
Speaker 1:Saturn is the planet of discipline, responsibility and the Lord of Karma. As the great taskmaster, saturn will push us to confront obstacles, work through limitations and force initiations by fire. When, in Aries, unfortunately, we may see more devastation of fires globally of Aries ignites a period of dynamic transformation, merging Saturn's attempts to structure with bold and headstrong energies. Tensions will surely arise as Aries assertiveness clashes with Saturn's demand for discipline. This period will emphasize resilience and adaptability. During Saturn's transit through Aries, we may initially encounter frustration and pursuing personal goals, this period offers powerful opportunity for growth.
Speaker 1:So now let me unpack the upcoming approximately three-year transit of Saturn through Aries, which will occur from May 24, 2025 through April 12, 2028. So from May 24th 2025 through April 12th 2028. So from May 24th 2025 through September 1st 2025, saturn enters Aries, saturn goes retrograde on September 1st 2025, re-entering Pisces, where it will travel until December 1st 2025. And then it goes direct. And then Saturn transits direct in Pisces until February 13th 2026. Then we have the long haul from February 13th 2026 through April 12th 2028, as Saturn transits through Aries. On April 12th 2028, saturn enters the sign Taurus.
Speaker 1:The previous Saturn transits in Aries were during the 90s, from April 7th 1996 through June 9th 1998. And again from October 1998 through February 28th 1999. Then, if we go back to the previous Saturn transit, it was from March 3rd 1967 through April 29th 1969. And Saturn also went through Aries from 1937 to 1940. So if you were born during any of these times, stay tuned, because that means you have Saturn in Aries in your natal birth chart, which means you'll be experiencing your Saturn return. I'll explain that later in the episode. So the most recent Saturn and Aries transit was from October 1998 through February 1999. And the same transit occurred April 1996 through June 1998. So basically from 1996 through 1999. Think about what was happening in your life then. Where were you living? What were your aspirations? What significant events occurred in your life during this time period? If you were young, think about what was happening in the lives of your parents or family.
Speaker 1:Some of the collective highlights that occurred in those years when Saturn previously transited Aries from 1996, partying like it's 1999, are, first of all, many technological advancements. This is when the internet became more accessible and the digital revolution began. At this time, amazon was expanding significantly and Google was incorporated in 1998. The Asian financial crisis hit in 1997, beginning in Thailand and then spreading through East Asia, which led to restructuring and economic reform. New leaders came into power, like Tony Blair, the UK prime minister, in 1997, introducing the new labor policies, and also in 1997, the British relinquished Hong Kong back to Chinese sovereignty. The Kyoto Protocol, an international climate change treaty, was adopted in 1997, and space exploration expanded, as NASA Pathfinder mission landed on Mars in 1997. Hmm, I think I've recently heard talk of going back to Mars as Saturn goes back to Aries in 2025. We'll see. So the big things that occurred during Saturn's previous transit through Aries were technological advancements, financial instability, fresh leadership and outlook, releasing old governances and focus on treaties that help the Earth and client and space exploration. We will see all of these themes reactivated when Saturn transpices again from 2025 through 2028.
Speaker 1:Now let's discuss what happens when Saturn goes back to where it was when you were born. That's called a Saturn return. In astrology, we experience a Saturn return between the ages of 28 to 30 years old and again between 58 and 60. So the group born during April 7th 1996 through June 9th 1998, and from October 1998 to February 28th 1999, will be experiencing their first Saturn return, good luck. People born between March 3rd 1967 and April 29th 1969 are experiencing their second Saturn return as they push up against the big six O and the group born between approximately 1937 and 1940. Well, they're experiencing their third Saturn return as they push up against a 90, and they've seen it all. They are living embodiments of Saturn.
Speaker 1:If they made it to 88 to 90 years old, saturn is the Lord of time and aging, they say in astrology. If we pay our karmic dues throughout life, saturn becomes our friend as we get older. But Saturn is demanding and asks for restructure, discipline and focus. Things won't come easy if you are lacking dedication, focus and working hard to make necessary changes in your life, and so we can be proactive and do-it-ourselves or let the universe show us what needs to be changed or fixed.
Speaker 1:The planet Saturn was named after the Roman deity Saturn, whose Greek counterpart was Kronos. In both Roman and Greek mythology, these deities are known as the Lord of Time, sometimes referred to as the Grim Reaper, and the lord of karma. Saturn has rulership over structure and form and time and order. Saturn is lord of time determines how much time we have in this incarnation. Saturn has rulership over the aging process. The soul has to embody into form, to incarnate in this lifetime, and and that is Saturn's domain Basically, our soul is coming into physical form through the Saturn principle. So at the Saturn return, people wake up to the limitations of life and embodiment in a physical body. In a physical body, they can also experience major psychological and emotional transformation, as well as physical issues.
