Yukon Extends Nurse Signing Bonuses and Exam Fee Reimbursement
The Government of Yukon has extended nurse signing bonuses and exam fee reimbursement through to March 31, 2027, retroactive to April 1, 2025.
In this episode, Joy Stephen, a Canadian Immigration practitioner, explains the bonus structure and eligibility:
- $7,500 signing bonus for new nurse practitioners and registered nurses
- $4,500 signing bonus for new licensed practical nurses
- Exam fee reimbursement for new graduates joining Yukon government nursing positions
- A 12-month service agreement is required for all bonuses
These incentives aim to attract and retain qualified nurses, strengthening healthcare delivery across Yukon communities.
