Joseph T. Winters - United States Coast Guard Rescue Swimmer

Richard sits down with his son Joseph to discuss Joe's life growing up and leading to his current position as a Chief Rescue Swimmer in the United States Coast Guard, stationed in Sitka, Alaska. Joseph shares how after having graduated from a prestigious private boarding school, he had no clear direction in his life. It was a math teacher that first spoke to him about why the Coast Guard could be a good fit for a young man who loved to surf. The challenges of swimmer school training and Joseph's faith journey are also revealed.
