Welcome back to another episode of the Putty Report . So it felt right and I actually had someone suggest to me . They were like , okay , this is your last week of doing this podcast , you have to go back to the very beginning . And in case you don't know this about this podcast specifically , I never went back . I've actually never listened to any of the episodes of this podcast because , if you remember , I started this show and I already had over a hundred episodes of the Prophet podcast , so I wasn't brand new to it . I was already in a rhythm of editing and for this show I actually do know editing whatsoever . If you've been listening for a while , you know that but I never went back . I've never gone back and listened to the very first episode .

So I just did it right before I'm recording this and , oh my gosh , the mic pops . That was it for being really honest . It was so distracting . I heard all the plosives where I'm like speaking right into the microphone and , if I'm remembering correctly , I think I still had my Blue Yeti mic when I first started this podcast . So I was using my Blue Yeti . I may or may not have had , like you know , like I can't even think of what they're called like , like the mic covers . I don't even know that . I had one on there . It was obnoxious , obnoxious , the sound quality was terrible , all the things I sounded like I really wasn't sure what I was talking about . And it was so funny because in real time , like I finished that episode and I said , keep it up , we all have to start somewhere .

And if you go and listen to the ending , I came back and I'm like , oh my God , I felt like I was just cheating on my podcast because I said this other tagline . So I came up with the other one on the spot . And it's funny because listening to it , I was like , oh my gosh , I did do that . I didn't overthink it . I didn't say , oh , I need to go back and you know , give me another week and I'll find the perfect tech line . No , I just said you know what ? I can't say this other one . So what am I going to say instead ? And I literally just said the next thing that popped into my head . And here we are , over three years later , and it's still how I was ending every single one of these episodes .

So there's so many lessons learned for not overthinking something and just getting started Like just dive in , jump into what's going on and just make it happen and don't overthink it , because you'll likely talk yourself out of it or you'll just decide to go in a different direction , or you'll procrastinate your life away , and I can't stress to you enough that you have more important things to do than think about . Well , what is the tagline going to be ? Just pick something , pick something . Go with your gut . When I hear that people are saying oh , I've been thinking about this for months , for years , like doing the thing , I'm like just throw something out there . People will tell you if they love it , people will tell you if they hate it , and you will quickly learn that that is the thing that you shouldn't have done , if that's the thing you shouldn't have done .

But you have to get started . It's why I say you got to start somewhere and with this , keep it fresh , keep it fun and just keep going . You got to just put something out there . So , if you have been overthinking whatever it is in your life today , put something out there . I don't know what that looks like for you . Is it Instagram story ? You need to show your face on camera . Is it starting your YouTube channel ? Is it creating your next lead magnet that you've been nervous to put out ? Is it sharing things on LinkedIn ? And you still have your nine to five job , but you're so nervous that it's going to rock the boat at work .

Put it out there . Put it out there . Just stop sitting around and overthinking things and get into action . Get into action , make it happen . So that is all I have for you today . I will say I'm listening back to that episode . I got chills the whole time I was listening to it and thinking , oh my gosh , I can't believe that this journey is coming to an end for now , but I'm so grateful to that version of me back in 2020 that started . I'm so grateful for that person that just jumped in , ripped off the mandate and started this podcast , because it has been truly magical for me and I'm so grateful for it . But that's all I have for you today . So , as always , remember , keep it fresh , keep it fun and just keep going .
