Lies We Believe About God- Introduction

We all have some things right and some things wrong about God. That will always be the case. Growing in our understanding of God is a life long endeavor- always evolving.
 
Jesus came into the world in the midst of all kinds of distortions (by the most religious people!) about the nature of God. The incarnation of Jesus- God in the flesh, is the clearest picture of who God is. Jesus said: I and the Father are one- when you have seen me, you have seen the Father. 

In this series we seek to understand God through the lens of Jesus- any ideas or conceptions we may have about God must past the test of "Does this look like Jesus?" as we consider his teachings, his attitudes, his actions. We will discover that there are many modern day distortions about the nature of God which have developed.
