Give you bless us, keep our heads up, and keep our heads up, Lord. Keep our hearts right with you, your love, and your mercy, your goodness, your grace, and faith. We love you, we thank you. Traveling grace, preaching grace. All we do, our church, Lord, you bless we organize and administrate and do what we can for the kingdom and the community. In Jesus' name, we pray. Bless the word, bless the preachers, and our preaching I do the preaching and through me. These words teach and help someone under the sound of my voice. By the words of my mother, my safe, we self on the answer. Oh my Savior, my redeemer. In Jesus the Christ's name we pray it all. Amen. And then I gave you the text of Acts 4. I know we read the entirety of that chapter. We will read 27. Next Sunday at Home Sunday. We'll take a break from Acts. Chapter 19, read the entirety of Luke 32 through 40. Next Sunday, we have Easter residents under the follow up. Next Sunday, Luke 19, read entirely 32 to be forty. Or did they act for 27 through 31 translation or translation that we have? For in this city they were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, both Aaron and Ajah, along with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, to do whatever you your hand and your purpose predestined before the creation of the world to occur, and so without knowing it, they serve your own purpose. And now, Lord, observe their threats, take them into account, and grant that your bond servants may declare your message of salvation with great confidence. While you extend your hand to heal and signs and wonders, the tests and miracles take place through the night, and the authority and the power of your holy servant and son Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place where they were meeting together was shaken, a sign of God's presence, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness and courage. The word of God for the people of God for the edified of God. You should have left us alone. You should have left us alone. There are moments in life when people expect you to fold. Moments when pressure shows up, moments when opposition rises, moments when God what God is doing in your life gets a challenge. And if we're honest, some of us know what it feels like to be under pressure right now. Pressure on your family, pressure on your finances, pressure on your faith, pressure on your politics, pressure uh on every facet of your life. And the enemy's assumption is simple. If I apply no pressure, they'll stop. Stop believing, stop trusting, stop speaking, stop moving forward. But Acts chapter 4, this portion shows us something powerful. The early church was under pressure, but they didn't fold. They didn't back up, they didn't back down, they didn't shut up, they stood up, they spoke up, and God showed up. Priest Pastor Matt, let me rewind, press play, say that again. They didn't back up, they didn't back down, they didn't shut up, they didn't they stood up, they spoke up, and God showed up. Let me give you the truth of this text. When God is with you, you can still stand under pressure, still speak in opposition, and still see God move in power. I know somebody on the sound of my voice realizes that right now in their spirit. First, they were still standing. If you go back to 14, 16 and seeing the man who had been healed standing there with them. We talked about this last week. They had nothing to say in reply because the evidence was there. But after ordering them to step out of the council chamber, they began to confer among themselves, what are we to do with these men? For the fact that an extraordinary can't deny the miracle that had taken place. Evident to all. So the Bible says, seeing the man was healed. Don't miss that. The man who used to be lame is now standing. They see that. That's the more, that's more than just posture, that's proof. You standing there represent God's power in your life, who able to bring you back. Because what God does in your life, He doesn't do it halfway. When God moves, broken things start standing. Weak places gain strength, and what used to be down gets back up. Again, I feel that right there in my spirit. And here's what's messed up the leaders. Here's what messed the leaders up, brother. They couldn't deny it because they seen it with their own eye. They couldn't, they didn't like it, but they couldn't deny it. Isn't that funny? Sometimes they can't do nothing about it, but the proof is there. Somebody in this room knows, or somebody under the sound of my voice knows what it means to be knocked down but still standing. Talked about but still standing. Stressed out but still standing. Counted out, but still standing. And the reason you're still standing is not because you're that strong. Come on, somebody, it's because God has been holding you up. Well, somebody should have shot it right there. You miss your shot right there. Tell somebody, touch your neighbor, say, I'm still standing. Say it again, like you mean it. I'm still standing. Put your weight into it. I'm still standing. Because the same God that lifted that man is the same God that kept you. And if you're still standing, you got something to say. If you're still standing, you can give him praise and glory for all he's done. Number two, they still speaking. They get 17 through 22, but it kept spreading further among the people and the nation that heard about the miracle. Let us warn them not to speak again to anyone in this name. They sent them, commanding them not to speak or teach in the name of Jesus. Told you last week they said it was in the name of Jesus. Whether it's right in the sight of God to listen to you, obey you rather than God, you must judge for yourself. For we on our part cannot stop telling people what we have seen and heard. That's why I get so despondent with Christians who so-called redeemed in the blood who come to church, just sit down and quiet. For what you have seen and what you have heard, it ought to be noise up out your mouth. They said when the counseling and the rulers threatened them further, they let them go, finding no way to punish them because of the fear of the people. Protesters. And they were all praising and glorified and honoring God for what had happened. The leaders tried this different tactic. Since they couldn't deny the miracle, they tried to control the message. Sound like some government stuff going on now. Don't speak in the name of Jesus. In other words, be quiet about what God did. But Peter and John respond, we cannot not speak. We can't help ourselves. We cannot but speak. That means we don't have a choice. Because when you really experience God, silence is not an option. You can't go through deliverance and stay quiet. Healing and stay quiet. Breakthrough and stay quiet. Uplift and stay quiet. Some get up spirit and stay quiet. Some Holy Ghost hope now and stay quiet. You can't stay quiet. And somebody under the sound of my voice know God brought you too far, did too much for you to be silent now. Touch somebody. I can't be quiet because he's been too good. I can't be quiet because every time I think, because when I think about where I was and what I went through, how God brought me out, I've got to open up my mouth and give God glory. And watch this, watch this. They didn't get louder in arrogance. They got louder in conviction. There's a difference. There's a difference. Don't miss it. Don't miss it. They didn't get louder in arrogance. They didn't tell them now you can't do nothing there and they got louder in conviction because of what God has done. Yeah, I'm gonna get loud. I got to tell some folk. Folk need to hear me. When I tell you God is good and he's done too much for me to be quiet. That's what the church needs right about now. Not more noise, but more conviction. Because when you stand and when you speak, something happens when you pray. Oh, oh, help me, Holy Ghost. I I feel that right in there. That's what the church needs now. Some more standing. So you can be heard. Somebody can tell, touch somebody and say it's all because of him. That I've made it thus far. It's all because of him. Then I gotta give him glory for all he has. Well, first they were still standing. You should have left us alone. And then then they still speaking. And then lastly, uh, still shaking. Well, read the text 23 through 31. And Paul, Peter, I'm sorry, and John were released. They returned to their own people to church, reported everything that the chief priests and elders had said to them, and when they heard it, they raised their voices together to God and said, Oh, sovereign Lord, have a complete power and authority. It is you who made the heaven and earth. They give them praise and everything that is in them, who by the Holy Spirit, through the mouth of our father David, your servant's son, why did the nations become arrogant and rage, and the people devised futile things against the Lord? And the kings of the earth took their stand to attack and the rulers. And they went on and said, go down to verse 31. And now, Lord, 29, observe their threats, and grant your bondservants may declare your message with what great confidence while you extend your hand to heal, signs, and one. Don't forget what you said now. Take place through the name and authority of Jesus. And then look at that one. And when they had prayed, the place where they were meeting together was shaking. And they were all filled with the holy, they had another another feeling service. Oh, after the threats, they go back to the people, the church. They don't panic, they don't complain, they don't organize a protest, they pray. Oh, they pray to God Almighty. That's that's what we got to do. And here's what's powerful. They didn't pray for protection, they prayed for boldness. Lord, make me even more louder. Lord, make me even more courageous. Lord, help me to run my mouth even more for you. They ain't going to be quiet like, oh, they almost had us. No. They said, Lord, help us be bold. And the Bible said the place was shaken. Heaven met earth and touched one another. And God showed up. The Holy Ghost failed. God didn't remove the pressure. He responded with power. That's what we need right now because sometimes God won't take you out of it. He'll empower you while you're still in it. And when they prayed, the building shook. The spirit filled, and the word went forth boldly. Tell somebody God is still shaking things up. He's still shaking things up. He's still shaking fear. He's shaking doubt. He's He's shaking strongholds. He's shaking opposition. And what the enemy meant for pressure, God turned into power. They didn't organize the protest. They prayed. And here's what's powerful. They didn't pray for protection. They prayed for boldness. Lord, stretch out your hand. Lord, do more signs. Lord, give us boldness. And the Bible says the place was shaken. God didn't remove the pressure. He just responded with power. He won't take you out, but he'll give you some power. Building shook. And the word went for tell somebody, he's still shaking things up in our life. Oh, that's what we need right now, church. We need to be shaken up. Despite these high gas prices. Yeah, despite a call for 200 million more dollars to go and fight a war that we didn't want to participate in. But one guy talked about he needs to go over his imminent threat. We we need to pray. Uh tried to coward them, but God gave them boldness. And that's what we need right now is some boldness. Because we're still able to stand against all the wiles of the enemy. We're still able to stand against the wiles of the haters and all those who come against us. They don't understand that you should have left me alone. Because now I'm going to pray. I'm now I'm going to get on bended knee and now I'm going to give it all to Jesus. And I'm going to tell Jesus, uh, make me more bold, make me more courageous, give me more power to do your word. Oh Lord, in the name of Jesus, I feel it in my bones that you can still shake things up. You can still make folk bold. You can still work some heart issues out. You can still pull us through because we still need some protection. We still need your word and your guidance, your keeping power, and your grace and your mercy for all you've done. And how do I know that we can get this power? The same power because the same power that was in Jesus is the same power we got access to right now. Because one Friday they marched him up Calgary's hill. I gotta tell the story, and they nailed him to an old rugged cross, and he died, died, died till the sun stops shining, died, till the moon dripped away in blood, die to the centurion soldier, surely, surely this must be the son of God. They took him off that cross, put him in a morrow tomb, and I'm so glad that's not the end of the story. Grab your neighbor if you got somebody close. It's the neighbor the gospels tell me that three days later, early, Sunday morning, he rose from the grave with all power in his hand. More he do it, won't he do it, say yes for the father, say yes, say yes for the son, yes for the holy goal, and all three make one I feel real good now because I need to tell somebody he can still work it out, he can still make ways, he can still make the right way in your life right now. He can still guide your foot, he can still fix your mind whatever you need. He can provide it. Say yes, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Say yes. He can fix it for you. Won't he do it? Won't he do it? Invitation is extended now. If you don't know Jesus and the pardon of your sins, if you would like to get to know him better and get saved, allow him to come into your life, simply say this prayer. Jesus, I need you in my life. I believe you died and rose again on the third day. I trust you to control my life and to enhance my future. If you said that prayer, uh it's as simple as ABC. Accept, believe, and commit. If you did that, we would love to hear from you. You may contact us through email, get praise on at house of praisepp.org.
