What have we got? What do we do?

Let's do this. If you can't make service donations and fresh fruits and giving the right if you can't make it to service, so don't forget about that. I just want to make sure we give opportunity to uh associate into ministry. And if you can't make it again, our website as well. Uh Gift website and on our app uh Gibbilify. So glad to have you again with the few minutes with Pastor Mike Podcast. So delighted and excited to be here on this Palm Sunday of 2026. I hope you had a great week. Uh leading up this week, you know, this Super Bowl for the Christians in our faith. Next Sunday, I think we lead up this week, Holy Week, up until Resurrection Sunday. Monday, Thursday, the Lord Supper. Saturday. And then, of course, sunrise Sunday morning, as we all know as Baptist Preacher, he got up early. Sunday morning and resurrection day. So I hope you have a great week. Had one last week with this week coming up. God's praise is come off our mouths for all he's done. Let's pray. Oh God, we thank you for another chance to hear a little bit of a good word about you from you and to you, Lord, because the Bible says let everything that has breath praise the Lord. We're gonna praise you, even in sadness, even in despair, even in confusion. We are still to praise you, commanded to praise you. God give us your hope, your joy, your love, your strength, your power and everything that we are, our very being, our essence, ourselves is all because of you. Bless our bodies, Lord, our veins, our blood vessels, capillaries, our synapses, Lord, our medulla, our cerebrum, cerebellum. Bless every part of our body, which you put together. You know how we work, you know how we think, you know the hairs in our ears. God, we thank you for your power. You do no much power. We ask you to bless us, right? Bless those on the sound of our voice. Give us clarity of mind, peace in our heart and understanding to do what your word says to do. We love you, we lift you up. In Jesus' name we do pray. I let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be accepted in thy sight. Oh my Savior, my Redeemer in Jesus the Christ. Name we pray it all. Amen. In this week. Up to the Holy Week. Good Friday. As we all gave you the text of Luke 19, we're gonna take a break from that series in um two weeks at least. Palm Sunday and Resurrection Sunday, but we resume. And I make sure y'all didn't look and see what y'all think with chapter four, going into five, but I'll have that information if we pause and ask and have a good time in that. Resurrection will be changed, of course, just for a Sunday or two. Um This year, hopefully twenty twenty six. I'm prayerfully trying to stay uh in that book. But uh today, Luke chapter nineteen. Next week, of course, you got this course in all four gospels. Uh but um I'll be in Matthew twenty-eight uh one through ten. Lord says the same. Matthew twenty eight, one through ten Easter speech. Um, for the next Sunday, Lord says the same. But Luke nineteen, um let me read uh thirty uh read that as always I just read the entirety of the chapter. We'll read thirty to forty. Go from there, I'll rename translation. Telling them to go into the village yonder, there are as you go here, you will find a donkey's coat tied, on which no man has ever yet sat loose it, bring it here. If anyone asks you, anybody asks you why do you untying it, you shall say this, because the Lord has need of it. So those who were sent away and found it just that he had as he had told them. As they were loosening the coat, his owner said to them, Why are you untying the coat? They said, The Lord has need of it. They brought it to Jesus. Then they threw the garments over the coat, sat Jesus upon it. As he rode along, the people kept spreading their garments on the road. And as he was approaching the city at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began to rejoice and praise God, extolling him exultantly and loudly for all the mighty miracles and works of power that they had witnessed. Crying, blessed and celebrated with praises is the king who comes in the name of the Lord. Peace in heaven, freedom there from all the distresses that are experienced as a result of sin and glory, majesty, and splendor in the highest heaven. And some of the Pharisees from the throne said to Jesus, teacher, reprove your disciples. He replied, I tell you that if these keeps out, the very stones will cry out. The word of God for the people of God, for the edifying of God. Just want to tag this. Don't miss your moment. Don't miss your moment. There are moments in life that don't look big. Look like big moments when you're in there. They don't come with flash of lights, they don't come with announcements, they don't come with warning signs. Sometimes their greatest moment comes dressed uh in something ordinary. Let me put it this way. Jesus on his way into Jerusalem. The city is crowded, the people are excited, the atmosphere's electric. They start laying down cloaks, putting cutting palm branches, waving them in the air, and they start shouting, Hosanna, blessed is the king. But here's the tension, here's the problem. They celebrating a king. They don't fully understand. I can tell you something this morning, beloved brothers and sisters. It is possible to be in the middle of a God moment and still miss what God is doing. Um some of us have shouted, some of us have clapped, some of us have shown up every Sunday. But the question is not were you there? The question is, did you recognize him? I would not miss my moment. You don't say that to yourself. I will not allow things to force me to distract me from missing my moment with Jesus. Coming to see some things instead of trying to see Jesus. Well, first the king shows up in an unexpected way. He told him, Go to the village, you enter it. You will find a coat tied there. Which nobody has written. He tells him, Go get the coat. You're gonna find it tied. They ask you why. Tell them the Lord has need of it. Now, wait, wait, wait a minute. If you're a king, you don't ride a donkey. Kings ride war horses. Kings come with power, kings come with dominance. But Jesus chooses a donkey, which represent peace. As Jeremiah had written, the the king shall come as a king, prince of peace. Because he wasn't coming to take over, he was coming to transform. Here's where here's where it hits us, or it should. They missed him because he didn't match their expectation. Oh, oh my God. Uh sometimes our expectation don't match what God is doing in our life or what he's doing in the situation around us, or how he's working. Some of you are praying for God to move, but you've already decided how he has to do it. Problem. Now, God has had already worked it out before they got there. They were going to find a coat. I he systematically told him, go find that coat, untie it. And when you untie it, he said, uh uh, bring it back to me. They ask you, tell them, because Jesus has I have need of it. He's already worked it out before they got there. See how he he worked it out. They didn't have to go find and search it in the city, go find them. Uh and they would have picked, they would have chosen something else anyway. But Jesus already intentionally has a plan already laid out for us. All we got to do is follow him. You want a door, he sends a delay. He won't, you want a yes, he gives you a process. You want elevation, he gives you preparation. We never get. And I don't know about you, but what I'm asking don't match what I'm asking. He always gives me something better. And most of the time it's better, or he gives me something different, most of the time it's better than what I asked for. God said it, you don't need to debate it. You just move on it, move on the word. Because he's already set it up before you showed up. Preach Pastor Mac, I'm doing the best I can. God will rarely show up the way you plan, but he will always show up the way you need. He prepares moments before you even see the need. In that uncanny, before you ever pray the prayer, God has already lined up the answer. Before you ever cry the tears, God has already arranged the comfort. Before you ever face the battle, God has already secured the victory. Somebody ought to say he's a working out God. And don't miss this. Some of you are asking, why hasn't God moved? God is saying, I did move. You just didn't recognize the form I came in. Well, I ain't got time. It's a whole lot there. I ain't got time to time to permit me to go. And uh he came in a conversation. He came in a correction, he came in a closed door, he came in delay. You just missed him. But look, he didn't like what you uh he didn't look like what you expected. Well, uh, if I had time to uh you in your mind, you can probably remember some times when you look for something and it was there, but you were not expecting it because that's not what you were looking for. He comes the way he wants to come, he does what he wants to do, and he can act the way he wants to act. And can't nobody get mad at him. Get what you're gonna get. You say aka uh kids across America, K A, uh get what you get, don't throw a fit. So somebody out there say, Lord, open my eyes so that I may see what you're doing, follow what you said, and get done what you said to get done. That's what the church needs to understand this morning. That we got to get done what he said get done. It's not up to us to determine how we should do it, but he's already given us his provision and his attention to detail is uncanny. He's already given it to us. We just follow it. Well, then, number two, the crowd praised, but didn't fully understand. Look at Um 36 and 38 as he went along, people spread their cloaks went near the place where the road goes down joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen. Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord, peace in heaven and glory. Now, I don't have time to go in depth with a lot, but when you uh you should, when you recognize who Jesus is, praise becomes your natural response. Well uh they shouted Hosanna, uh, blessed is the king. But here's the problem. Here's the problem. Their praise was based on the expectation. Um couple of training thoughts here. Hosanna means save us now, but they weren't asking for salvation from sin, they were asking from deliverance for deliverance from wrong. And you can praise with the wrong intentions. I just gonna drop that in somebody's butt right there. You can praise the wrong intentions. They were praising him because they seen him do some things, so they figure he was probably he could do that, he could deliver them with deliverance from wrong. Well, that's it. You can praise with the wrong intentions. Now, how many of us come in here and praise God? Or we praise him because we think that's the genie out the back. If we give him a little hallelujah and an amen, and thank you, Jesus, he's gonna work out whatever I need worked out. Wrong intentions. We shouldn't praise him for what he does, we should praise him for who he is. Well, they wanted a political savior. Jesus came to be a spiritual redeemer. And when he didn't meet the expectation, the same crowd that shouted Hosanna. Well, that's next week. Ain't got cry crucify him. Can I tell you now? Sometimes folk don't they get disappointed with you because they expect you to do some things for you, and when you don't, they say, Oh, I'm done with you. I'm out of here. Can I preach it the way uh uh I feel? Everybody praising you ain't committed to you. Uh-oh. Uh-oh. You gotta watch you patch you on the back. Uh some praise is emotional, some praise is conditional, some praise is temporary. You shouldn't be looking for man's praise anyway, because everybody ain't committed to everybody patch you on the back, uh, ain't up for your uptick, uptick, they were for your downfall. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And we got to be careful how the real praise said, even if he doesn't fix it, even if he doesn't change it, even if he doesn't answer it, how I won't, he's still worthy. And we got to switch our minds over to that. We can't allow circumstances that he has not yet done or finished in our favor yet to condition us not to praise. We should give him praise uh unlimited because he's worthy, because of who he is. Don't just praise him for what he can do, but what I say, praise him for who he is. Yeah, that don't change. He saves you when I'm up. Yeah. High five your neighbors say, he saved you when I'm up. He saved you when I'm down, yes. Hit your other neighbor up you around somebody, hit him up and he saves you when I understand, yes. He saves you when I'm confused, yes. So he's God all the time. So say this to somebody around you. I ain't gonna switch up on God. I'm gonna be consistent in my praise in season, out of season, when I'm up, when I'm down. When I understand, or when I'm confused in despair, or I got relief, truth, or lie, I'm gonna keep on praising him. Yeah. Well, that leads into this last point. Um, don't miss the chance to praise him. 39, some of the Pharisees crowd said, Gebuke your disciples. He told them, he said, he replied, If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out. I mean, I'm gonna go down from this place with this. Don't let the moment pass without recognizing Jesus. But the crowd celebrates him, but the Pharisees resist him, but Jesus confirms if they keep quiet, the stones are gonna cry out. Yeah, your praise becomes a natural response when you recognize who he is. The tragedy that he was in the city, they still missed him because they missed it. Tell you what, nothing tells the enemy, that old snagger two devil, Satan, and his father, his minions that they have lost like the praises of God ringing in their ear. From who? From us. Because he can't do it. See, God took praise from him and gave it to us, and the devil has been trying to choke us ever since. That's why he hit Daddy Adam in the Garden of Eden, Mama Eve, because he was mad. He can't praise God no more. And he loses because when God's people are really worshiping in genuine worship, their hearts and minds are on him and not on sin himself or Satan's destruction. God can get the glory. Yeah, yeah. God get the glory, uh, despite all what the enemy throws at us. And Jesus said on this day, Jesus is gonna get to pray. He he had before then remembering the text, remember the gospels. He had told him, Don't tell nobody yet. My time, my hour ain't here, huh? And I ain't got time to go deeper and teach it while I'm preaching. I ain't got time. Don't don't don't don't don't don't tell nobody. Go go your way, go back to your country. Every time he did a miracle, remember the text, gospel, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. He said, Go, don't tell nobody, just go. But now he's saying, Yes. Now celebrate me. He's inviting them to public praise and adoration as the Messiah. He said, Recognize who I am. I'm him. Go ahead and give it up, give it to me. And that's what he said, don't miss your moment when it's time to praise him. I give a creation itself. He said, You don't, the stones will cry out. He said, We're conditioned. The rocks, you can take any animate objects. Yeah. It's all throughout the Bible. The Bible speaks of the trees and the hills and the oceans and the rivers and the mountains, the valleys and the cattle and the creeping things, birds and fields. All give praise. Yeah, I feel a little happy right in there. All give praise to God. Oh, my brothers and sisters, don't miss it. They missed him. They missed him because they were celebrating because of what they thought he was going to do for their expectation. Yeah, but Jesus said, Praise me for who I am. Don't miss the moment to give genuine praise to God. You can be close to God's move, but still miss your heart. Uh still miss it because your heart is not aligned. Stones didn't have to praise that day. They stayed quiet because all the multitude praised Jesus. The whole multitude of disciples began to rejoice. Yet I suppose those disciples had, as Spurgeon said, their trials as we have our trials. There may have been a sick wife at home or a child withering with disease, but yet, well, Spurgeon was charged, they all still praised him. Their praise was filled with remembrance. They remembered all the mighty works they saw Jesus do, such as the raising of Lazarus from the dead in John 12. But they told of the great things God had done in their life, and that ought to get you so excited that you got no other choice but to praise him. But a great indictment of against must I praise is that it is mindless. We do not have anything specific in our minds that we praise God for. Things that we have seen him do in our lives. Anyone who says praise the Lord should be able to answer the question. Praise him for what? Well, that's what I'm uh I'm done. I'm out of here. Some people around the church but not connected to Christ. Some people are in the room but not in relationship. Some people hear the word but don't receive it. And Jesus said you missed your moment. What are you praising him for? Huh? Yeah, I am church, Dallas. I don't want to be around it. I don't want to be in it. I don't want to hear about it. I want to experience it. I don't want to clap for Others. I want God to move in my life. What are you praising for? Don't miss. Don't miss your chance to praise him. This this time. Tell your neighbor this is my moment. This time, this season, this opportunity, this shift, this breakthrough. I refuse to miss the moment God has prepared for me. And how do I know it is for me? Because He told me so. He said, I never leave you not forsaken. Well, that's enough praise, something to praise him right there. He said, I can do it by a little more than you can imagine. Well, that's enough right in there. Not to mention, he woke me up this morning. And I was able to clap and give him praise through my own mouth. And that's why I got to give him praise for all he's done. So don't miss the moment to praise the Lord, to give him glory for all he's done. He's worthy of all the praise. I ain't gonna wait till next Sunday. I'm gonna go ahead and tell you why. Because one Friday night, he marched up Calvary's here like a soldier with the cross on his shoulders, and they hung him high, and they stretched him wide, and he bowed his head, for you and me he died, and that's love right there, but that's not the end of the story. Took him off that cross, put him in a borrowed tomb, and I know I'm ahead, but three days later he rose with all power in his hand, and so since he's got all the power, I got to give him glory, since he's got all the power that he said we can have access to, I got to give him praise because he comforts me. He walks with me, he talks with me, and he tells me that I am his own. Can you give him some praise right now? Open up your mouth and throw back your head and say thank you, Lord for blessing me. Thank you, Lord for keeping me. Thank you, Lord for covering me. Won't he do it? Won't he do it? Say yes Say yes say yes 'cause he will provide and if I keep my hands in his hands, I ain't got to worry about a thing because he said in his word no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I'm out of here. But I will stand on his promise that heaven and earth may pass away, but the word uh will never pass away. And I'm standing on his promises, I'm standing on his power. I'm standing on invitation is extended now. If you don't know Jesus in the pardon of your sins, if you would like to get to know him better and get saved, allow him to come into your life, simply say this prayer Jesus, I need you in my life. I believe you died and rose again on the third day. I trust you to control my life and to enhance my future. If you said that prayer, uh it's as simple as A B C accept, believe, and commit. If you did that, we would love to hear from you. You may contact us through our email, get praise on at house of praisepp.org. Or you may go simply to our website, www.house of praisepp.org, contact us, and someone from our discipleship team will get back with you with other information you need in order to begin this new life in Christ. We love you to life, we look forward to hearing from you. Thank you again for listening to our podcast. We hope something was said to be a blessing for you, and be a blessing for you this week. We know that we are still in the hands of God, and we will trust Him to keep and deliver us. Bless you, God bless you. County Line, we love you to life, and you can't do anything about it. Look forward to next week. The Lord says the same. We hope that you are praying, reading your word, staying true, and standing on the promises of the Lord. God bless you, and we'll see you next week. Pastor Mac.

I need to hit you.
