Uh Give website and on our app uh Gibbilify. Good morning to you on this first Sunday of August 2026. Glad to be back with you again with a few minutes with Pastor Mike podcast. And we've been out uh last two weeks. We've been celebrating our anniversary, and um so we were off, and uh I don't take too many Sundays off as it is, thank the Lord. Um He's been giving us grace and mercy. So I took these two and uh so we're back on his first Sunday at a grand time on our pre-anniversary on the uh third Sunday with Pastor Crane and then on Saturday, of course, the 25th, Pops is in town for anniversary service, and Sunday morning I said my brother preached anniversary worship. Um so we had a grand time all week, last two weeks, and uh good time thanks to the Ultimate Church, our Amber Church Dallas, uh, for all his doing and done for uh Pastor Mac and family. So we thank God for that. But here we are again with Human Pastor Mac Podcast Broadcast. Um I think before the break uh the off Sunday we give me a text Acts 10, 34 through 43. I thank God for those who do download and listen, even after this long time I've been doing this since 2020, I think. I think more just more for an outlet for me to give my sermon together for Sunday, as I know I am helping someone who may be listening as well. But is it good for you, Pastor or this preacher, to be able to uh put it out there podcast for some for po perpetuity as well and uh also to help help and blessing to someone under the sound of my voice out there in the podcast land. But Acts 10, 34, 43, as we continue in our acts series this whole year. We add it this week where we month number eight. Uh here we go. So I got a couple more Sundays uh coming up that I won't be uh preaching, but uh we may expand our podcasting as well to include some other things. I know we did one time my wife uh a couple years ago when we spoke on Women's Day, she was a guest. So maybe doing some things like that uh in the near future. But I started out as preaching during COVID and uh it's just hard to break those uh this particular routine uh as it is. I may just do another podcast. We have two podcasts, but uh we'll see. Next week, Lord says the same Acts eleven, twenty through twenty-six would be where we set up shop, put our tempos down. Acts eleven, twenty through twenty-six. But Acts ten for thirty-four through forty-three on today again. Oh God is blessing you, and has been blessing you end of July into August, school almost ready to start. Teachers go back Monday, we go back so I'm praying for full-time church. Amen. So I'm gonna be strictly working on church business and sermon, teaching and praying, and loving the people, and praying and teaching and preaching. Why don't we do that? Lord, I'm praying for that. Hopefully, we get that uh come to fruition. Reality. Let's pray. The Lord living a chance uh podcast, or to be a blessing to someone on the side of our voice. Those people, you know what they need, and you know what we need, and you already have it worked out. So we just praying before hands just let uh those around us and you know that we depended on you, and that we know you can't come through. Lord, we ask you to bless those uh in need, and we know you're working out for our good and your glory. You do anything but fail, Lord. We need some blessings, we need some breakthroughs, some deliverance, we need some breaking of chains and yokes, Lord. We need some step out, step throughs, and step in. We need all of that, Lord, right now in the name of Jesus. Touch your heart, a soul, our mind. Bring it back to your capacity, Lord, and fulfill us in that space. In Jesus' name we do pray. We ask you to bless the word, oh God. It's not preaching I do, we're preaching done through me. Give me grace from on high. Now let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in honesty, oh my Savior, my redeemer, in Jesus the Christ's name. We pray it all. Amen. Acts 10, 34 through 43. And next week, Acts 11, 20 through 26. Lord says the same. Get down to work. Uh I'll be reading the AMP translation, whatever translation you have, we actually follow along. Opening his mouth, Peter said, Most certainly I understand now that God is not one to show partiality to people as though Gentiles were excluded from God's blessing. But in every nation, the person who fears God does what is right by seeking him, is acceptable and welcomed by him. You know the message which he sent to the sons of Israel, announcing the good news of peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all. And you know the things that have taken place throughout Judea, starting in Galilee after baptism preached by John, how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with great power. And he went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil because God was with him. We are personally eyewitnesses of everything that he did, both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem in particular. They also put him to the death by hanging him on a cross. God raised him to life on the third day and caused him to be plainly seen, not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen and designated beforehand by God. That is, to us who ate, drank together with him after he rose from the dead. He commanded us to preach to the people, both Jew and Gentile, and to Sodom to testify that he is the one who has been appointed and ordained by God as judge of the living and the dead. All the prophets testify about him, that through his name, everyone who believes in him, whoever trusts in him, relies on him, accepting him as Savior and Messiah, receives forgiveness of sins. The word of God for the people of God, for the edifying of God. I want to tag this few minutes with Pastor Mac. Grace made room for me. Grace made room for me. Beloved my brother and sister, have you ever walked into a room, crowded room, and wonder whether there was a place for you? Every seat looked taken, every table looked full, everybody seemed to know somebody. And for a moment you stood there wondering, Do I belong here? Is there a place for somebody like me? Did anybody save me a seed? That is what Acts chapter 10 feels like. For generations of Jewish people understood themselves to be God's covenant people. God had given them the law, the prophets, the promises, and the temple and the covenants. But now in Acts chapter 10, God is showing Pete that the gospel table is bigger than Peter imagined. God sends Peter to the house of Cornelius. Cornelius, a Gentile, he's a Roman soldier, did not come from Peter's background, did not have religious upbringing like Peter, did not live according to Jewish custom. But Cornelius is seeking God. He is praying, he is giving, he's gathering his family. And while Cornelius is praying in Caesarea, God is working on Peter and Joppa. Because Cornelius needed to hear the gospel, but Peter needed to understand the reach of grace. Cornelius needed salvation, but Peter needed revelation. And God had to show Peter, you cannot call somebody unclean when I am preparing to clean them. You cannot reject somebody I'm inviting. You cannot close a door that I have decided to open. Peter walks into Cornelius' house, sees a room full of Gentiles, and said, Of a truth, I perceive that God is no respecter of persons. Peter is saying, I finally understand. God does not play favors. God's grace is not limited by race. God's mercy is not restricted by nationality. God's salvation is not reserved for one group of people. Then Peter gets to verse 43 and said, Whoever believed in believeth in him shall receive remission of sin. Well, that's what Peter had to discover in his own mind because he had already set his course because he did not believe Gentiles could be saved. Well, isn't that like some of us? As I go to point one, isn't that like some of us? We felt that way. We felt like everybody don't deserve to have goodness of God. But somebody declared under the sound of my voice, Grace made room for me. May not be race and nationality, but you look at folk and see in the see them in the degraded state and uh beneath me thou mentality as you look down on folk. You look and say, You can't do what I do, you can't be what I be, you can't have what I have. But grace made room for me. Well, Pete sees first grace looks beyond our record. That's why the cause of us, and I've been preaching in this theme is throughout the acts, that your past does not qualify for you, does not keep you from a qualified future. At verse 34, Peter opened his mouth and said, Of truth, I perceive that God is no respecter. Peter had to learn that God does not evaluate people the way people evaluate people. People look at your record, they look at your past. God looks at what his grace can do with your life. People remember where you fail, but God sees where he can raise you. People focus on what you did. God knows what you can become. People would introduce you by your worst mistake. God will call you by your purpose. Cornelius had a record that many Jewish people would have held against him. Believe he's a Roman soldier, a captain. He's in the equivalent of a captain. He's a centurion soldier. Roman. He represented occupation. He represented oppression, represented political power over Israel. He wore the uniform of the empire that ruled Peter's people. From Peter's perspective, Cornelius were not just different. He represented the enemy. The angel told him his name. He's over in Joppa. Peter had a dream and said he needed to go to Cornelius' house. Because grace will make room for people. Your prejudice would rather leave outside. So God connects these two entities. Grace will send you the people you did not expect. Grace will challenge the labels you have placed on others. It would force you to see people as souls instead of stereotypes. Peter, if he got this, God is no respecter of person. I mean, ain't nobody no better than nobody else. God is not impressed by social status. He's not intimidated by a bad background, not influenced by a family name, does not save people because they are popular, does not reject people because they are unpopular, does not ask how much money you have, does not ask what side of town you came from, don't ask whether everybody approves you, God but looks beyond the labels. The songwriter said he looked beyond my faults. Yeah, and so my needs. People may label you according to your addiction, according to your divorce, according to your failure, according to your arrest, according to your struggle. People may label you according to something you did 20 years ago, or 20 minutes, but God does not allow the label to become the final chapter. You see this same thing. People may call you damaged, but God calls you redeemable. Somebody needs to hear this. I've been saying that you you may be called rejected, but God calls you wanted. And people may think you're unworthy, but God says the blood is good enough. For you, they may say no place for you. But grace pulls out another chair. Tell your neighbor, somebody around you, there's more room, there's more to me than my record. Now, Cornelius, the Bible said, was a good man. Acts 10 said he feared God. He prayed, he gave the people in need, he had a good reputation, and being good was not enough to save him. Cornelius still needed to hear about Jesus. That's what some of us problem about us's problem is. We think our goodness is good enough for heaven. But your goodness is just good, but our Jesus is nothing. Paul said, I call it all dung. Everything I do, because he was trying to be good. He had the academia, he had the stature of reputation and all. But he caught, he said, called it out dung. Trash. Without Jesus. And yeah, you you know your goodness does not make you worthy for salvation. Good works can't erase your sins. Good generosity could not reconcile him to God. He was given man. Sincerity cannot replace salvation. Cornelius needed grace. And church, we still need grace. You may not have Cornelius record, but you have a record. We all have sin and come short, as Paul said in Romans 3.23, of the glory of God. We've all missed the mark. All of us have said something we should not have said. All of us have thought something we should not have thought. All of us have failed somewhere, fallen short. Some records are public, some are private, some records are known by everybody. Some records are known by only by God. But grace does not deny the record. Grace declares that the blood of Jesus is greater than the record. Grace says, I know what you did, but also know what Jesus did. I know where you fell short, but I know where Jesus died. I know your sin, but also know the power of his blood. Grace made room for my record. Not because my record was clean, but because Jesus could clean me. Grace looked beyond my faults. Grace did not overlook my sin. Somebody had to pay the price. Somebody had to carry the judgment. Somebody had to do what I could not do for myself. And that leads me to point number two. Jesus did what we could not do. That's close to you. Acts 10 36 that the word which God sent into the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ. He is Lord of all. Peter did not walk into Cornelius' house preaching politics. He did not preach Jewish tradition. He did not preach himself. He preached Jesus. Because the only reason grace can make room for us is because Jesus made peace for us. Sin separated us from God, left the crimps and stains. Sin created guilt. Sin brought judgment. Sin broke fellowship, relationship between a holy man and sin for humanity. You can blame Daddy Adam and Mama Eve, but Peter says Jesus came preaching peace. Yeah, Romans 5, 1 says, Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus did not come only to make us feel better. Jesus came to make us right with God. He didn't come to merely calm our emotions. He came to settle our eternal account. He didn't come just to give us peace in trouble. He came to give us peace with God. And then Peter says, He is Lord of all. That is why there's room for all, because Jesus is Lord of all, not Lord of one race, one nation, one generation, one denomination, one social Christ, social class. Jesus is Lord of all. He's Lord in the church house, the crack house, your house, the white house, the hospital room, the courtroom, the classroom, when you are up, when you were down. He's Lord. When you the doors are open, when the doors are closed, when you understand, when nothing makes sense, somebody shout, Jesus is Lord of all. And then verse 38 says, How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth, the Holy Ghost, with power, who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil. For G for God was with him. Jesus went about doing good. He touched lepers, he opened blinded eyes, he weakened weak legs, he fed hungry folk, he hit with welcome, rejected people, he raised dead folk, he delivered those oppressed by the devil. He everywhere Jesus went, he made room for somebody. Others had pushed aside. The woman with issue of blood had been pushed out. But Jesus made room for her blind Bartimaeus were told to be quiet. But Jesus made room for him. Zacchaeus was hated by his community, but Jesus made room. The woman at the well had a complicated path, but Jesus made room for the thief on the cross, had no time left to fix his record. But Jesus made room for him. And Jesus is still helping Holy Ghost making room. Now he look around this room. He made room for you. Room for the guilty, for the ashamed, for the addicted, for church hurt, for somebody who feels forgotten. For everyone who thought they were counting it out. But there's the verse 39 says, Whom they slew and hang on a tree. Peter's going down the whole litany. He said, Jesus went about doing good, but they crucified him. He healed people. They could not, but they still crucified him. He fed people. They crucified him. He loved on people. He delivered people. They crucified him. And at the cross, Jesus took our place. Bore our judgment. Paid our debt. Took what we deserve so that we could receive what he deserved. Took our condemnation so we could receive his righteousness. He took our death so we could receive his life. He took our place so there could be room for us in God's family. Grace is free to us, but it was not cheap. It cost Jesus his blood. It cost Jesus his suffering. It cost Jesus the cross. But I thank God Peter did not stop at verse 39. Verse 40 said God raised up the third day and showed him openly. They crucified him, but God raised him. They sealed him in a tomb, but God raised him. They thought Friday was gonna be it, but God raised him. They thought the cross had defeated him, but God raised him. They thought the grave had silenced him, but God raised him. And the resurrection is proof that the work was accepted. Yes, the debt was paid, the sacrifice was enough. The grave was defeated. Death lost its power. Jesus got up with all authority because Jesus got up. There's room for me. I could not save myself, but Jesus made room. I could not erase my record, but I could not pay my debt, but Jesus made room. I could not defeat death, but Jesus made room. The room was not made because I was worthy. The room was made because Jesus is worthy. I ought to have some help in here. Jesus done the work, paid the price. The door was open. The door still requires a response. You have to enter. And that brings me to that last point. First, grace looks beyond our labels. Secondly, Jesus did what He we could not do. Thirdly, we see faith receives what God, what grace provides. Faith received what grace provides. To him, at verse 43, to him all the prophets witness that through his name, Whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission. Peter brings the sermon of one word. Whosoever. Whosoever means the invitation is wide, but believeth in him means the way is specific. Only one way. Everybody is invited. But everybody must come through Jesus. Whosoever does not mean everybody is automatically saved. Whosoever means anybody can be saved when they place their faith in Jesus Christ. Peter does not say whosoever earns it, deserves it, works hard, cleans themselves up, never makes a mistake, has perfect church attendance, belongs to the right denomination, gives to the AC ACSPA, uh, help all the pets and all. He said, Whosoever believeth in him. Faith says, I cannot save myself. My good works cannot save me. My title can't save my church membership, my family name, my education can't save me. My bank account, the car I drive, where I live, can't save me. Faith is not not just merely knowing facts about Jesus. Faith is placing the weight of my life upon Jesus. Faith is trusting that his death was enough, his resurrection is real. He can forgive you, he will receive you. Romans 10 9 said, Because if you confess with your mouth, yeah, the Lord Jesus that He's and believe in your heart that He was raised from the dead, thou shalt be saved. That means forgiveness, that means release, that means cancellation, that means uh uh uh removal of guilt. When you trust Jesus, God does not merely give you a new debt, he removes your debt, cancels it. He don't place your sins on a payment plan. Romans 5 and 6 says, while we were yet sinners, Christ died. L trailer said, while we were helpless, powerless to provide for our own salvation at the right time. Christ died as a substitute for the ungodly. Jesus paid them in full. He said you had to work off your debt. He gives you grace. God does not hold your past over your head, he gives you a new meaning, gives you a new standard. Grace came to Cornelia's house. Aren't you glad Grace sought you out? Grace knows where you are, Grace knows the room you're sitting in, knows uh what you have not told somebody, knows the tears you're crying private, knows the battle behind your smile, knows what people think they know and what God only truly knows, but grace still says there's room for you. Well, faith says yes, grace says, Come on in. Faith says yes, take your seat. Grace says, Come on in. You are forgiven, you belong to God now because of grace. Grace made room for me. Look at that 43 again. Whosoever believed received remission of sin. It means grace made whosoever. I mean, grace made room, it made room for Cornelius, it made room for his family, it made room for the Gentiles, it made room for Peter, and the ones Peter had considered outsiders. And I came to tell somebody that grace made room for me. I did not earn my room, I did not deserve my room, I did not qualify myself for the room, but Jesus opened the door, pulled out a chair, and said, There's room for you too. And I'm glad Grace made room for Peter, Cornelius, Saul, the woman at the wheel, the thief on the cross. And I'm glad Grace made room for me. When I was broken, Grace made room for me. When I was guilty, Grace made room for me. Some folk could have counted me out, but Grace said come on in because how do you know that grace still makes room? Because one Friday, Jesus made his way up Calvary's hill. They nailed his hands, nailed his feet, riveted his side, put a crown of thorns on his head. For you and me he died. He shed his blood to make room for me. He carried my sins to make room for me. Stayed there in a borrowed tomb all night Friday night all day Saturday and Saturday night, but early Sunday morning he rose from the grave with all power in his hand and now I can testify. I got power to forgive, power to restore, power to deliver, power to open doors, power to make room because he got up. There's room for the broken hearted, room for the wounded, room for the weary, room for the rejected. There is room for you. The songwriter said there's room at the cross for you. Many have come, but there's still room for one. There is room at the cross for you and thank God for the cross. At the cross at the cross where I first saw the light and burdens of my heart, it rolled away. It was there by faith and I got my grace. So now my name invitation is extended now. If you don't know Jesus and the pardon of your sins, if you would like to get to know him better and get saved, allow him to come into your life. Simply say this prayer Jesus, I need you in my life. I believe you died and rose again on the third day. I trust you to control my life and to enhance my future. If you said that prayer, uh it's as simple as ABC. Accept, believe, and commit.
