All of us struggle to grow in our journey of faith and following Christ. Paul reminds Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:10-17 of three key factors in his own growth: Paul’s own life example, hardships, and the Word of God. These three things work together to help us apply the truths of God into the real-life challenges we face through the encouragement of other mature believers. We should seek out mentors who can be models for us and be intentional in mentoring others to help them grow, focus on what God is doing in us through the difficult challenges of life by allowing endurance to have its perfect work in us, and daily seek to meet with Christ in His Word and prayer.
