The Deep Practice Podcast

Three Essential Components of Deep Practice with Bob Beer

Becky Przybylski Season 1 Episode 2

#002 -Introducing, Bob Beer, the Founder of Go-N-Do Discipleship.

This episode introduces listeners to Bob Beer, the founder of Go-N-Do Discipleship, and how he discovered the concept of Deep Practice during his career in business. Bob came up with a process to accelerate learning to train editors to work for his company, and he later learned that this process had a name: Deep Practice. Bob explains that after he left his company and felt a nudge from God to find a way to bring Deep Practice into the Church. Bob put together a team of people to create Deep Practice tools, and together they produced a book with tools for five spiritual practices. Although the book was very effective in small group tests, when the books were distributed outside of the test groups, people did not have the motivation to follow through on learning the practices. The podcast concludes with Bob working to overcome this obstacle by revisiting how to incorporate coaching support into the process.
