Youth Ministry Volunteers QUIT When You Ignore These Things!

Volunteers play a critical role in the success of youth ministries, but if we fail to keep them engaged, motivated and most of all, cared for, we can quickly lose them!

First and foremost, when volunteers are lead well, they can be much happier 😁 and more effective in their roles. When volunteers feel valued, appreciated, and supported, they are more likely to be fully engaged and committed to the mission of the student ministry. This translates into better interactions for the students they are working with, as well as a more positive ➕ and energized atmosphere for everyone involved.

In addition, when you effectively pour into and care for your leaders, it will in turn lead to longer-term retention. Volunteers who feel connected to the ministry and enjoy their roles are more likely to continue volunteering over time.

So how can youth pastors lead their volunteers well? In this episode, we'll explore some practical strategies on how to recognize and celebrate volunteers' contributions and create a positive and supportive team culture.  We will also help you envision how your ministry can implement these strategies to maximize the impact of your volunteers and the students in your ministry.  As you create a healthy team of volunteers, you will quickly see a decrease in leader turnover!
