How to Avoid Pride Taking You Down in Youth Ministry
"Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall" - Proverbs 16:18 There is an unhealthy attraction of the narcissist to become a youth pastor, or a head pastor or a worship leader...but as the proverb says, this can lead to destruction. Obviously, most of those serving in ministry don't fall into the camp of the "prideful narcissist;" however, pride can find ways of creeping into our heart based off of position, authority, leadership, etc. So how can we avoid this in our lives and in our ministries? Today, we will be looking at some of the damage that pride can cause and also some ways to avoid letting pride in to ruin us.
