Alele was born and raised in Kenya. She first moved to Europe to study International Development in Vienna. After her studies, she then relocated to Berlin to start her career. While searching for opportunities in International Development, she stumbled upon a job ad to be a flight attendant and has been working in the airline industry ever since. In this conversation, Alele and I discuss growing up in Kenya, and her experiences in school from pre-school right through to University. Our conversation touches on themes such as colourism, featurism, and the objectification of black women.
