Ryan Harbinson - Episode 34 (S3 EP2): Effective Networking Utilizing LinkedIn
Hey Guys! Here’s my personal notes from things I’ve learned myself on the journey combined with lessons from Ryan Harb! I organized these for myself to utilize moving forward from this episode! Enjoy and let’s slay 2021!
- Make your profile clearly compelling
- Make your tag line who you serve ( be the guide in other hero’s stories -Read and reference Story Brand by Donald Miller)
- You have very limited time to catch attention and answer the question of how you can help your target prospect/ customer/ client.
- Clarify and know who your target customer/ client is to work backwards!!!
- Connect the right Intimate Community and Add Value!
- Make sure the network you have knows of you or liked you or trusts you enough that they would engage with your messages / direct correspondence. ( be weary of adding and connecting with everyone - make it GENUINE!)
- Patience not greed! Give and add value first and with authenticity
- Share what’s important to your network! Make them famous and be generous by sharing exposure for them
- Have a Core 3,6 and eventually more!
- Have a power networking group that you comment, share and actively connect people to each other. Know their ideal connection and client and be clear about yours. Look to help serve one another with high value connections and sharing to maximize the feed algorithms!
- Use the search features LinkedIn offers to find your ideal/ right connections! Know your niche!
- Create, Engage and Curate Content
- Create your own content- your unique voice matters! No one else can replicate it
- Experiment with mediums that will highlight your strengths: video, audio, cartoons, blogs, essays, memes ETC!
- Make sure you use the right voice on the right platform ( LinkedIn, Instagram, bumble etc)
- Engage with other content!
- Comment and like and share if it resonates with you! This is working together! Add your thoughts. Connect with others in the comments - utilize hashtags and @ people to connect them!
- Every time you comment or engage with a hot thread you will notify everyone involved in the convo! Be involved in active, relevant convos!
- Curate content! MAJOR LIFE HACK - share all the valid relevant professions content being created with YOUR pain or voice or thoughts about it! Become the go to thread for people like you to get a curated string of relevant content! You become an expert by association!
- Create your own content- your unique voice matters! No one else can replicate it
- The entire goal is to have people find our who you are - how you can serve to initiate a real conversation and develop an authentic mutually beneficial relationship.
- Find the right people
- Share, comment and visit their profile
- Instigate enough noice for them to look at your profile
- Maintain connection/ relationship
- When valid and applicable Connect and set up time to meet/ network/ add value
- Also utilize intros from network because you have served and helped others with an honest reputation.
