This show was created in the wee hours of the morning after watching all the election returns and passing out on the couch!  And, the crazy thing is, IT AIN"T OVER YET.

• It is a show that I get to introduce you folks I grew up with who influenced me in my life. (I got some "Very Unique" friends y'all so this should be interesting!)

• It is a show that works your emotions. (“...Laughing and Crying, you know it’s the same release..”)

Ep 29 Nov. 4 There has to be a “Morning After”…

[00:00:21] Greetings or ask when you say it right here in the South. Hey, y'all. Hey, you know what time it is? It's time for another edition of the Jeff Johnson show a real, genuine, authentic podcast where I get to reconnect with the people and places and events of my hometown area. Charlotte, North Carolina. All right, everybody let's get this week.

[00:00:42] Show started off. Well, everybody here we are November 4th and you're listening to the Jeff Johnson show. Yeah, I am Jeff Johnson. wow. What an election day, what an election night, what a day after the election. I'll be [00:01:00] totally honest with you. I have been just kind of watching it and kind of let things go and it has really eaten up a lot of my time.

[00:01:07] It shouldn't have, but it does because this whole situation is important for so many reasons. I'm not even going to try to go into talking to you about how you voted or. What happened? I just hope that you did vote, that you made your, your voice known. And I hope that we all realize that we have a process and that this process is fair and that this process will do good and we will get our next president announced very soon.

[00:01:43] Votes are still out. Votes are waiting to be tabulated. I pray for. Calmer heads, rational heads to rule and move forward because we truly need it. Ladies and gentlemen, I'm telling you, [00:02:00] you know, sometimes we look at and rely on the media to do so many different things for us. I'm in the media, I'm a major believer in the media.

[00:02:11] But I am a, also a major believer in that we have to educate ourselves. We have to go out and find out what's right. And what's wrong. We have to look at these leaders and hold them accountable for all the things that are going on. And when we do that, we do become a more perfect union, which we are. This is the greatest country on earth bar.

[00:02:36] None. If you don't like it. I know, they always say, Oh, if you don't like it, you can leave. Well, I ain't going nowhere. This is my country America. And I hope it's the same for you too. As these next days go by and the craziness of all of this and the intensity of all of this kind of weird down. Remember faith, [00:03:00] family, friends.

[00:03:03] Let's keep it that way. Folks with all this going on right now. I'm going to tell you, I'll be honest again. I had a, a show all planned out. I didn't edit it. I couldn't, I was just so tied up in all this nonsense. So if you will indulge me, I'm just going to post this as my show for this week, along with the first ever podcast that I did, And throw it on there for you.

[00:03:29] It's not real long. It just kind of talks a little bit about who I am and that kind of stuff, but I hope to go back and take a listen to it. And, but mostly I hope that each and every one of you remembers that you're a part of this. And that we are all together on this earth because we are one family of man.

And you know, these things can change at the drop of a hat. So here's some of the things that's not going to be. It's not a new show, [00:05:00] but you know, we will learn some stuff.

[00:05:03] It's always good to learn stuff. It's not a sport show, but because guarantor beats independence all the time and I love sports and it's a major part of my life. Yeah. We're going to be talking a lot of sports activities, leisure on the show. Now it's not an artsy show, but, always you want to have artists and musicians and performers and authors and creative people in the house at all times.

[00:05:33] It's good for the soul. Now, this is not a food show, but I do love liver mush. So yeah, we probably will be talking about some food every now and then now here is what it is going to be. It's a labor of love for me. And it's a labor of love for me to celebrate my hometown. It's a show about you and me and finding out why the Charlotte Metro Atlanta region is the [00:06:00] place used to be.

[00:06:00] Do you even know what the Charlotte Metro Atlanta region is? Don't worry. I'll tell you. It's a show that I get to introduce folks that I grew up with. Man. Y'all are nice. I'm going to believe some of the most wonderful people that I've had an opportunity to get to know in our region. They're fantastic.

[00:06:15] The show that I share with you, talented friends that I've met along the way. It's a show that works show emotions. It's the Jeff Johnson show a brand new podcast, a podcast for my hometown or my hometown, Gary,

[00:06:31] PSA: [00:06:31] the right to know the right to know about culture, the right to know about the economy, the right to know about technology and to know about sports. You have the right to know about education and politics and the weather. You have the right to know what's happening abroad and in your backyard, but above all else, you have the right to know that this right is under attack and we must work to protect it because in order to be free, we must be informed.

[00:06:58] Understand the threats, [00:07:00] protect, press freedom, Datto.

[00:07:23] when the going gets tough. What do you do well for some of us, we fear. We load, we get scared and we freeze up. Now, all of these are normal reactions to stressful situations, but I subscribed to the notion that we should do just the opposite. We should not fear. We must not be afraid. We must leap into action and we must remain positive, great things.

[00:07:43] Come to people that will not let their goals or expectations diminish. Well, any reason it is precisely during such times that your best strategy is to raise those expectations. Giving up and settling for less is never the answer to life's challenges. Your time to [00:08:00] show the world. What you're made of is white male.

[00:08:02] And what an opportunity to see is the day draw up on that inner you, who will not give up, who will not lay down when the going gets tough. What are you going to do? JJ keeps splashing through the puddles of life.
