Then we talk about one of my favorite movies, "Pooty Tang"! (Alright some you out there, get your mind out the gutter..., "HEY  DEMETRIUS"... I love KERWIN CLAIBORNE) and the reason why we should take this time to remember good things, is that it just makes us feel good... I need that, we need that!   Hold on to the Good and then, share it with others!

What the Jeff Johnson Show “IS” and “IS NOT”:

IT IS NOT:

  • It’s not a news show, but we learn stuff.
  • It’s not a sports show, but Garinger beats Independence all the time and we love the game.
  • It’s not an “artsy” show, but local artists/performers are always in the house.
  • This is not a food show, but I love livermush!(‘Nuff Said”) So, we'll be talking about food a lot!

IT IS:

  • It is a Labour of Love for myself and my Hometown.
  • It is a show about you and me and finding out why the Charlotte/Metrolina region is a great place to be!
  • It is a show that I get to introduce you folks I grew up with who influenced me in my life. (I got some "Very Unique" friends y'all so this should be interesting!)
  • It is a show that I share some of the many talented friends I’ve met along the way.  (I got some "Very Unique" friends y'all so this should be interesting!)
  • It is a show that works your emotions. (“...Laughing and Crying, you know it’s the same release..”)

Show 35

[00:00:00] JJ: [00:00:00] It's the Jeff Johnson show brought to you by O T e@ofthisearthglobal.com of this earth. global.com clothing connection. Okay.

[00:00:21] Greetings, or as we say it right here in the South, Hey y'all Hey, you know what time it is? It's time for another edition of the Jeff Johnson show a real, genuine, authentic podcast where I get to reconnect with the people and places and events of my hometown area. Charlotte, North Carolina. All right, let's get this show started.

[00:00:43] What a tie everybody. And you know, that's Pootie Tang talk for what it is. Jeff Johnson right here with you, man, what a week it has been. This is the, what? The week of the December, the 13th, 14th. My goodness. [00:01:00] We've gone through an awful lot this week. I'm just going to kick it off with the biggest thing to me, that was huge.

[00:01:06] The first COVID-19 vaccine. Was administered in New York. Wow. Now the first one was done overseas. I think it was done in England. Two, I like a 91 year old lady and she was really cool when she was talking about it. She, you know, she said, look, give me the shot. I've been through this. I'm thankful for being here, which is what we should all be all the time, but wow, you will look at that and you go, man, I can't wait till that comes over to the United States.

[00:01:38] Well, guess what? This week it is now. Right now, people are getting shot in the arm right now. And you need to go ahead and make sure you're going to get your shot as well. Here's a little bit from the today. Show talking about that momentous moment. I sat there and watched not on the today show, but I was watching on another channel, but wherever it was, it was [00:02:00] equally as inspiring and emotional as when I saw it.

[00:02:04] So check this out from the today. Show on the Jeff Johnson show, we just saw, uh, the first we think the very first, uh, shot. Of the, uh, Pfizer vaccine or coronavirus we think possibly in the country.

[00:02:23] And I see cameras clicking all the first one in New York, for sure. Out there in Queens, long Island Jewish, well stayed so calm. She didn't mean I get the flu shot and I'm like, no, no, no, I can't. Let me get luck. I just heard her say it didn't hurt. There you go. Trust us. You'll be hearing a lot more from this woman in the hours ahead.

[00:02:40] Wow. That's pretty cool. But it's happening. Listen, if it's 95% effective. Yeah, there you go. Yep. There you have it. It was really unique. And this young lady, she sat right there and it was really neat to hear what she said afterwards, because it was all about the team effort that the [00:03:00] frontline folks do. It is amazing.

[00:03:03] My cousin. Tiffany is a nurse. And I have other relatives that are there too, but I talked to her all the time and boy she's been working extremely hard doing during all this COVID stuff and all the healthcare people, all the people on the front lines, all the, the EMT, just doctors, nurses, everybody. We can't.

[00:03:25] Thank you guys enough. We cannot. Thank you guys enough for what you've done. And these shots in the arm are for you. And look at you, you still getting out there trying to protect us. We thank you now, folks. It's our turn. It's our turn to roll up our sleeves and get that vaccination. I know you got people out there that are anti-vaxxers and they don't believe in science and all that kind of stuff.

[00:03:52] Go ahead. That's fine. But look at the data, look at the rational [00:04:00] data, look at what it's done through the years and then make up your own mind because I'm going to tell you straight up, my sleeve is already rolled up in your should be too. We're going to be right back in just a second. This is going to be pretty another kind of short show, as I said before.

[00:04:17] I'm winding down this year, uh, looking forward to 2021 with hope. And courage and all of those things, but I'm just so appreciative each and every one of you listening to my show this whole year, since I started it and I'm going to continue to do more. So we're going to be right back in a minute with something a little bit, a little bit more, and then I'm going to get out of here.

I don't know how many y'all remember Pootie Tang. Cause y'all but I'm gonna tell you it's. Etched in my brain. You know how I am. I just remember those kinds of things and I'm a moody tame freak.

[00:05:49] Let me give you a quick idea of what Pootie Tang is. In 2001, this film was written and directed by Louis CK. All right. It was adopted from a comedy sketch that Crick rock, [00:06:00] Chris rock did. On the Chris rock show, the character Pootie Tang. It's just a sad tire of a stereotype character. All right. His, his speech, his actions and everything about Pootie Tang, make him an incredible person.

[00:06:15] He was born in a small town outside of Gary Indiana. He's a ladies, man. Who's really too cool. For words, even as a young child, Pootie used to talk to people and they would go, what is Poodie talking about? And they would go, well, I guess it's pretty good. So. I want you to do, do have some fun, do something different.

[00:06:36] You know, there's a lot of movies. There's a lot of things out there that I think we all have overlooked or forgotten. Take a little time and go back and look at something that makes you laugh like a fool out loud with slobbing spit. Come out your mouth. You know what I'm talking about? It's time for you to get good.

[00:06:56] Pootie Tang is one of those movies for [00:07:00] me. I'm getting ready to just air the trailer real quick and laugh all the way through it. And I'll catch you on the other side.

[00:07:11] Pootie Tang Film Trailer: [00:07:11] In modern day America, the corporations run our lives. One man is prepared to take our country back.

[00:07:29] Hi this summer, meet a superhero like no other Buddha tags, womb, bad brother, so bad that you can write it off on your taxes

[00:07:44] since he had sits in and put a thing as ad campaign. Sales are down 30%. Can you steal this from me? Come on, dead

[00:08:00] [00:08:00] in association with MTV films and Chris rock production. We got quoted saying in the house the night, a mad too. Cool for words. So let's listen up to the new record. Bob put attack.

[00:08:50] JJ: [00:08:50] Now that's what I'm talking about. If y'all have ever seen the movie or if you've not seen the movie, make it a point.
