welcome to Tool Crave a podcast right shot with the best and brightest makers to gain insights on how they make and discover which tools they really use and which tools they covet. I'm Timothy Doll, the founder of Charles and Hudson Media and former editor at Popular Mechanics Lifehacker and this old house. Today I chat with the duo behind Tools and Action, Dan Maxie and Eric Job. These two have been talking about tools for years, and I built a huge following with their entertaining YouTube videos and social media posts. Hashtag ta crew. I caught up with Dan and Eric in the midst of the new shop build, and I got the scoop on what's in store for tools and action this year. And it's surprising pick for their favorite tools. I also had a lot of fun with his podcast, despite their pranks. Dan Eric Tools and Action. Thanks for coming on the podcast. Can you hear me?
Eric: 1:01
Yeah. It's
Timothy: 1:06
a great start. E o tools in action. Thank you. That is that. That was the best interest so far.
Eric: 1:18
I wear, like how a little bit
Timothy: 1:22
like Well, just we spent in 15 minutes trying to sort out audio and everything. And now Ah, yeah. I thought everything got messed up again, so it was good.
Dan: 1:30
It is told that, actually, now that
Timothy: 1:32
you kind of
Dan: 1:33
brought us into your world
Timothy: 1:34
is we
Dan: 1:34
like your hardest podcasts ever. Everything that can go wrong will go wrong.
Timothy: 1:38
All right. I'ma tools in action. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Thank you guys so much. You guys. A couple. My favorite tool, Blogger Piers. Ah. And you know, I really look look up to what you guys have always done. And I was kind of looking back on when we first met that craftsman thing, which was I don't know. Is that 89 years ago? Many, many years. Yeah. Yeah, and I know it may be. I think you guys, I don't know if you're ever in YouTube. At that point, you were kind of just doing doing your thing, and Ah, and since then, it's been awesome to see. You know, you guys take off on YouTube and what I really love is that you guys, you guys grab whatever platform is out there and you just dive in and go for it. And like like at the Milwaukee event. You guys had the periscope going and you were doing a live video of all the Milwaukee presentations and all that. And, you know, and then when periscope, you're like, That's not our thing. You jump into instagram or whatever, and, uh, and you just kind of kill it on all these platforms. So So you have. So for me, that's really inspirational. And also, like, how you guys are sharing right now on some of your stories and seeing, like, All right, here's what we're doing on Facebook, you know? And so that's great. You got a real transparent about that. So it's obvious that, you know, you guys have such a big t a a crew happening. So yeah, again, I appreciate you coming on here, and I just want to hear kind of what you guys have been doing really lately because there's so much happening. It seems like on your end.
Dan: 3:05
Yeah. Yeah. Well, thanks for that, man. You know, rather see, you know your great friend off, and we've all been in this industry a long time. We've all seen a lot of changes, you know, Um and I think that just kind of going back to that the early days it was like, I don't know if you recall, though, but remember when we used to go to these events that it was just like we were kind of the riff raff and there was all guys in suits and it was the print guys. You're right. And now it kind of And then it kind of evolved into us, and then now it's kind of evolving into a whole new crowd like the instagrammers and stuff like that. So it's going back to that periscope thing. That periscope was great, it was happening. But man, it just it came and went, you know, with changes. And it's just like we feel like you just kind of have to follow your platform, you know, your followers or whatever platform they're using. So I feel like that's why we kind of, you know, Eric's over here like making what? Amazing. But that's why because, you know, dive into a lot of platform to just try to, you know, make the bust of whatever we can. But lately, man, we've got a shop. I don't know if you've been following, but we have this new shop now, So we, uh, got a built in studio. We got a wood shop in there right now. We're just currently putting the finishing touches on the mechanics Part of it. We have an automotive shop. We got a lift that's actually waiting to be installed. Um, so, yeah, we're just kind of just, you know, just trying to get, you know, more content, more tools and just can't get out there, you know,
Timothy: 4:28
right? I mean, for years, you guys have been working out of your garage, which has been, Ah, I feel like that's my garage now, because I just see it, you know, I see it so much, I see all the tools come in and out. I see you bring in. You know, the jeeps and all the fun stuff that you're doing there. And and also another thing to you guys kind of share. It's not just like, simply to reviews. It's like an insight into kind of, you know, your life. And I'm kind of drawn in. And I feel like, even if you know, I wasn't friends with you and I didn't know you just from tools in action. I'm still kind of drawn into. You know, when you guys go to breakfast, when you guys do go to the car wash whatever
Eric: 5:02
you know, it's fine. I love
Dan: 5:04
it. I'm just a shop. I just like this Joe off. You know, my day, my daily duties still does, Eric, you know, And I mean, it's kind of fun, like you said, and that's what we're trying to do is vagina. Just get people in on the story. You know, we're not just this publication. Just pumping out, Uh, tool content were also, you know, Hey, these two guys actually do you sometimes fun things and have
Eric: 5:28
a lifespan to connect with the user's. Yeah, you get their feedback, talk with them. You start learning about people who are following you, too. So I think that's just
Timothy: 5:38
right. So can you guys take it back a little bit? Like, how did you guys meet up or you guys tell me how you guys became three guys friends before this? It was just a distraction.
Dan: 5:49
Yeah, it was court for us. Do y that we both
Eric: 5:52
got, uh, no way. Went to the same great school, lived maybe about six blacks away seven blocks away. We met at school, and we actually used to play guitar on that. So we walked back and forth each other's house and just kind of sit there and hang out. Just kind of went from there. Um, in 2005 we kind of put this this thing together. There was not much out there in terms of, like websites or anything like that on tools. So that came together. I think it was 2008. YouTube came along with her putting content out for that 2000 times when we kind of got together on this, this project work together and kind of just rocketed from there
Timothy: 6:34
right now. This is for both you guys. This you're a full time gig. Yes, right. That's awesome. And had and still has it progressed into, you know, having this shop now and having the lift. I mean, that's pretty big time in the shop. Looks amazing. You guys have done so much so quickly. I know Eric to you've just been in the middle of no remodeling, roll your whole house, and now you're kind of building out this shop. How was that? How is that happening.
Eric: 6:58
It is. I think we're still trying to find our place in the shop. We got what we needed, the extra room, which was nice and all that. But it's been a little bit longer than we thought, trying to get this whole thing together because we want it because we do something different things, you know, it might be like one day we're doing their actions. That has one day we're gonna do some woodwork. Another day. We're doing pantry, and we're just trying to figure out how to fit it all in together, we could make it all kind of work,
Dan: 7:19
right? Right. And I think you know, the slow down right now is is that, like you said, we did start garages, right? So Eric's got all his tools set up in his garage. I have all my instead of in my garage and just says this whole shop thing, it's like we've just got in, you know, just tons of just stuff everywhere. And I think if I'm at the shop working on something, I might not have the tool I need there. So we're just trying to consolidate all our tools. D'oh! And get him into that one location so he can, you know, basically spend the whole day there without having to run out and go buy a tool, or you run back to the house to get this or that. So I mean, just, you know, a lot of people think like, Oh, that's easy. You got a shot. You just move there with like, Oh, my gosh, it's so because we're really still working from home and working at a shop,
Eric: 8:02
Yeah. I mean, it's hard because we're the graduate, the audio video, everything we wanted to We do the light of a new era, all that stuff now with the shop. We started having problems. We had too much going, so they had to try to fix that. Then we have a little light in the way of trying to fix that. So it's been a little bit of learning curve, but
Dan: 8:18
yeah, but I mean the content. Yeah, the content getting better. We got more new cameras now we got four K. Um, I mean, it's, you know, it's definitely getting a lot better, but I think it's still, you know, this whole year is just it's rough. It's a rough start to get in there. But, I mean, obviously with a shop stuff, you gotta have that. You don't start producing content. That's the whole, you know, investment phase of it is to get content out of it. So we're there, but we're, like, just not finalized yet.
Timothy: 8:45
You know, a
Dan: 8:46
few weeks we'll be
Timothy: 8:47
right, Right? I know these things take time and it's a pretty big a pretty big thing you guys are taking on and like you said you were in your garage is for years. So it's got to be got to be kind of satisfying to kind of go through and just cold some of this stuff and and clear out and kind of start fresh and put everything in the right place. You kind of know, Okay, it's all gonna be at the shop. I know everything where it's gonna be so and also you guys are creating content as you're doing all this. So it doesn't even seem like there's been a let down. It's been like, still more. And obviously with your studio, it's gonna be exciting to see everything. You you know for YouTube, everything you do in there
Dan: 9:20
Yeah, Thanks, man. And we appreciate it. And yeah, like you said, we were trying to, you know, obviously that you this wayto push out content is instagram. So we've kind of just been like, relying on that to do it. But we definitely, you know, or focusing back on the YouTube because that's our core audience right there, you know? I mean, that's pretty much how we started. And then we had that before, and we still have the forum and just, you know, just that's the truth, you know, And at the end of the day, you just want to make sure that you're there for the crew that you're, you know, giving them quality content. You know, I don't want people. I want people to come in and like watching tools and action and, you know, be there all day. So I mean, that's why I think that this whole shop thing and she said, Awesome idea. Pretty big Eric Adriana resentment Eric likes because he's got a place to hang out now in College zone. He hangs out with all the neighbors, and he's all you talk about. Get smokers and grills. I guess E Oh, No. But how cool is that? That's what's cool about this shop is, yes, a business, But be It's also like a big toy garage for us where we can go hang out and we can go. You know, I'm weekend washing cars in there or, you know, smoke smoker grills. And, you know, next door's the body shops and mechanics and just everybody that we can actually get more confident from engaging content with, which is pretty cool. So
Timothy: 10:36
you guys have kind of created the ultimate man cave. In a sense, yes. Oh, and I'm sure you're probably the most popular popular spot on your block there.
Dan: 10:46
Yeah, with the captain excuses. A lot of cats that hang out down eight are really safe. Area is kind of off the beaten path. So we were kind of concerned about that at first. But like every time I go, there's a cop somewhere. Yeah, and there are cool. They'll just pull up to talk to you. Hey, what's going on and ask you about what's happening. So yeah, it's very cool.
Timothy: 11:06
And you So you guys are obviously still in Chicago Chicago area.
Dan: 11:09
Yes, yes,
Timothy: 11:11
OK. And it's and before we started here. You were when I didn't have any audio. You were introducing me to somebody There. Is that kind of a new member of your team? What's your team? Look. Likes it expanding here.
Dan: 11:23
Yeah, he had left were actually barbecue. See, little, but all this beat, he could've way around. He left, But we'll eat his food, but it
Eric: 11:33
s so he's so when we met a while there. Really nice guy. Yeah,
Dan: 11:36
he has his own flog James and move logs on YouTube. So they started out RV people. And then now he just got his own kind of lifestyle. Blogged
Eric: 11:46
his wife. Really? Yeah, just good
Dan: 11:48
people have, and he likes to hang out. We're going to Vegas with them next week to the hardware show. So, you know, he's just learning the ropes, and, you know, we love doing I mean, we live just hanging out with people. I'm just gonna you know how to get through it. You know how to be successful, right? It's all about,
Timothy: 12:04
right. And, you know, again, I like that you guys were kind of sharing some of that The insights on especially like, you know, we didn't even talk about Facebook. But how you guys were rocking on that? Like, how does that work when you're still focused on YouTube and Instagram with Facebook? You know, you keep getting that engagement you keep kind of really growing in that.
Eric: 12:23
Yes, definitely challenges. You got the website. Get YouTube, Facebook instagram trying to live with ventures. It's a challenge, man. It's just two people trying to knock it all out. But yes, that's
Dan: 12:33
that's why I hire people. So we got a couple people that were like Kevin looking at right now just to work in the office, one gonna be content driven, and one's gonna be mostly into video editing and stuff like that. Um, and I think that, you know, that's gonna be huge for us because then we're really gonna be able to get the content out there because you're right, man. It's hard. I mean, our days consist of as soon as you wake up, you know, it's like most people go to work. We'll soon as I wake up, I'm at work and I'm at work all day. It's like a bad, you know, everyone. I sleep sleeping at one yet leaving 11 the water, you know, a couple hours a day, but you know what I'm saying? I mean, it's like, that's all. It's just it's crazy. It's really You have to be this a plan to keep maintain this kind of work and, you know, and it's not easy. I mean, everybody thinks, Oh, my God, she's so easy. Just makes a video of this, Matt. But I mean, after a while, you start driving yourself crazy and striving to find better content to do better content. You know, you don't want to post a video because you might oppose to that, like, a year ago, because that was okay. But now it's like I just wanted to be that much better. You know, I think that's my mental block right now. It's just, you know, trying to find that fine line off. You know, uh, what's gonna be good content and just get it up, you know, so
Timothy: 13:43
right. I mean, I know you guys were perfectionist to, and you don't put things out that, you know, don't meet your standards. So that's you know, another thing. I think that a lot of people, you know, connect with you they know you're not just throwing up videos, just rushing it up just to kind of meat that you know, the requirements of some sort of sponsored thing you have going on or whatever. It's all just Ray. It's good stuff and and you'll even wait to, you know, not me, maybe the first people to announce a tool. But you'll might have the best quality review out there, so so that you know, it's cool. And like you said, I'm sorry. Like you said to you guys like you said the rise of the instagram er, influencers and all that happening. And you know, in a lot of those guys, too, they are focused on one platform, and in a sense, you know, they're really over indexing on that one. But they don't have dinner, not editing videos at night and go into all that whole process. So So kudos to you guys again on building so much more.
Dan: 14:37
Yeah, thanks. We appreciate. Plus, we have low standards, so it's really
Timothy: 14:44
so what's that? And also, I mean, I just I just mentioned the hardware show and the travel that you guys are doing, and I know how hard that is It takes you away from everything not only in your home personal life, but at work And, you know, in the middle of videos, and then you have to run off to, you know, they guess, or whatever, but which I'll see you out there. I'll be out there for, I think, a day. So
Eric: 15:04
Hee, I excited? Yeah, our travel. I mean, we, like, says both of us. We both travel, So it was not here against on you. Come back. You're trying to just catch up with that?
Dan: 15:16
Yeah, Me traveling is fun. And I mean, you know, it has its purpose. Obviously, you have to meet with people. You have to make connections, you know, it's giving me, Got it. Plus, but that again, like you said, Yeah, you are away from working and stuff like that. But sometimes, like, it'll be like we want shower for like, three months with All man trip's gonna sound good. And then we get that trip. But this we're all excited about it. And then, like, a week before, like, just something comes up where it's like, Oh, man, we didn't do this trip. We could get so much more done on this other project. You know what I'm saying? So it's like it's considerate. So we're just trying to, you know, um, I don't know, minimize travel, I guess you could say, but, you know, maximize the benefit of the traveling that we D'oh.
Timothy: 15:53
Have you seen the travel amp up? I feel like a couple of years ago. It was like there was opportunities, like almost definitely once a month of, like, you know, the after that. And then it kind of slowed, at least for me. So down a little bit. And I think because I'm not I haven't been, you know, in it full time with just my stuff, But it just kind of is gone in cycles. And, you know, I'm gonna hit Milwaukee again this year, and they've always been consistent with a great event. But do you guys kind of pick and choose? I'm sure you guys have, like, a ton of different opportunities. What makes it, you know, where do you say Okay, this one's That's what I'm gonna go to this one. I'm gonna take a pass on.
Dan: 16:28
I mean, we just basically look at, um, you know, obviously everybody that right? This one event, we're flattered. We want to go. We would love to attend, you know, But we just have to kind of look at, like, our audience and stuff like that. And is it worth it? You know what I'm saying? Because it does cost us money, you know? I mean, obviously we're from sky was just parking in that lives, like, 100 bucks a day, you know, But, uh, it's just we've just kind of look at it. It's a traffic. Is it worth while you know, obviously something like Milwaukee the wall speak, eat a big tool. Companies like that. Yeah, obviously our audiences core. We want to report that back to our audience, you know? But if it's something like, you know, something super slaw like, you know, Joe's hammers or something like that, you know that we we kind of have maybe take a pass on something like that. Joe's hammers. Okay, Sally favors, But you know what I'm saying? I mean, and I don't mean to feel bad, but it's like, you know, for each trips are nice and are not really free. But, you know, they usually take care of all the stuff, but it's like, you know, just the time away from work, just kinds of costing more than it's worth. I feel
Timothy: 17:28
right and because and you guys both I'm sorry, Eric.
Eric: 17:32
Yeah, I
Timothy: 17:34
would say, because you guys both just pretty much both travel together to these. So it's, you know, we're making that work as well.
Eric: 17:42
Well, we do, because we're both where there are folks in the different things, you know, like the end of a lot of videos and stuff like that. So I will be interviewing overdoing the camera, taking pictures for the website. He's doing instagram. So we almost both have to be there in order because I protect my earlier if I was platforms or cover it.
Dan: 17:59
Yeah, he's my security blanket.
Eric: 18:01
I was seized by security.
Timothy: 18:03
That's that's good to have. So, you know, going back to your shop. Where do you see You know what you're gonna be doing there as it is. It expanding on what you're currently doing there. They're gonna be new features. Like, how is what? What can your audience look for from your shop?
Eric: 18:18
Why things gonna shut down about eight months ago Yeah. You got, uh
Timothy: 18:27
let's hope,
Dan: 18:27
um, no. Yeah, Well, here's what
Eric: 18:30
we're gonna do with the shop. We want to
Dan: 18:31
get to a point where we can actually just have our audience common in the shop whenever they want. You know, it's like, Hey, you wanna come by tools and action? Come on down. You know, you can use tools You can, you know? I mean, I don't know how that's gonna work, because obviously, we're in Illinois
Eric: 18:44
to sue Happy State by a scramble by up to people. So our users, the viewers, all they actually come there so we could meet up so they could try stuff. So we could just I don't like every Friday,
Dan: 18:55
have a get together with all the contractors in the area way have a lot of contractors, you know, And they must just all the time, like, Hey, we're in Chicago. You know, we want to come down. So just like every Friday just have kind of get together. Maybe barbecue, you know, just talk tools. Put it on. Used to you. That's something that we're pushing for. Um, you know, I think we're still a few weeks away from that too, but
Timothy: 19:16
yeah, invent spaces. Sounds such a natural type of thing. Especially. You don't want to have people really necessary over to your house, but, yeah, now they have a shop. It's seemed natural to, ah, give people, like, you know, the TA Crew first. Look at you know, the new miter saw from Milwaukee or something like that. It sounds it sounds like you could do so many different things.
Dan: 19:35
Yeah, exactly. And we get their feedback you don't think is honestly. I mean, reenact our contractors. You know, we do this business full time, so obviously we're not a contractor. But we do take, you know, um, advice from contractors. We do get their opinions, you know, testimonial stuff like that. And that's where we base a lot of our, you know, our continent. You know, a lot of people like, Oh, it's tour of use. I mean, we don't really call it two reviews were just two guys ina grads now in a shop just like to talk tools, you know, we're excited. Yeah, we're consumers were excited about tools, you know, Eric Lee called, likes to call it's professional amateurs, but, you know, we just have fun talking. And you know, if you can get a laugh out of our videos, Great. You know, and you learn a little about the product. You know, they're going to, like a boring, you know, drill video where, you know, she looks like you just came out of the manufacturers. You know? You know, that kind of stuff was just anti tools and action. I guess you could say,
Timothy: 20:30
right. I mean, I'm in the same boat as not being in the trades. So, you know, I've always thought, you know, come from the late layperson's perspective of the the person who's gonna go into Home Depot and need to figure out, you know, what should I grab? Is it worth it to pay x amount for one of these contractor grade tools? Or or will a Rio be suffice or, you know, black and Decker or whatever. So, um, so, yeah, I mean, that's maybe also why you know, I connect with you guys so well, too. So So yeah, I'm not looking for kind of the hardcore All the stats and also the things that, um that whereas a I was a d i wire, I don't. I don't necessarily need to pay for that premium, but But I know that's, Ah, that's That's something that again, it's great to see. And it's not like you said. You give people a reason to laugh and like some little different. So that's fun.
Dan: 21:18
Yeah, exactly. And I mean, that's what I think, what we've been about the whole time. You know, when we try to do be serious or something, that's what he gets bad. So it's like we just try to be fun. And, you know, my biggest thing is not editing videos, right? I don't like to remove the homes and the, you know, the the things we say wrong stuff like that. Yeah, man. I mean, you know, and yeah, yeah, it's just us. You know, you could call in common. We said some long, but whatever, you know, I mean, that's off. That's what it's all about. Tool aware of that. So, um, that's tools in action and not show.
Timothy: 21:50
So let's talk tools, then. Is there something I know that with, You know, Eric, you're redoing your home and you guys work on the shop. Are there some tools that set out for you guys that you keep, You know, You know, maybe you've had him for a few years now, and there's a shiny new thing that you could obviously you have access to. But, you know, you kind of stick with with one or two tools or something that maybe also a little bit underrated that you guys just love.
Dan: 22:13
Um, we're here. I'm gonna say something is underrated, and I mean, I'm probably getting a lot of flack for it, but it's the Hercules drill from Harbor Free. I don't know why that thing is, like 80 bucks, and it is just, you know, it keeps up with the high end to $300 olds. You know, um and actually, Eric wants one for the shop, so we could just beat it up. It's just a good little drum. And
Eric: 22:36
there was a drill fight on. Then we threw that one in there, and that was a shocker. With any bucks? Yeah. Thrill and two batters or some Believe it or not, that thing was, uh,
Dan: 22:47
just gotta think. Yeah, just cause it doesn't seem Milwaukee or the wall. The Makita on it, you know, automatically doesn't make it a bad Jill, you know, I mean, it's just you're saving running at the goodbye. It's got a second. Yeah. I mean, obviously, if you're investing in toward the tire line, I probably want to go Hercules just because of the lack of tools in that line. But, you know, I mean, if you're just looking for drill that just want to beat up, you know, that thing's a something worth looking at. It's just it is. I like using that, actually,
Timothy: 23:14
Hercules from Hercules from Harbor free. Are they as 18 volts, I assume.
Dan: 23:19
Yes. 20 maybe 20 and 18. 26
Timothy: 23:22
is that Is there a platform there? They mean, can you pick up other tools or just a drill
Eric: 23:28
there, Slowly starting place, get droll, leave a pats driver and maybe a wrench?
Timothy: 23:38
And is that a harbor? Is that harbor freight that they're branded, too? I mean, you said Hercules, but they're branded tools that something else like separate.
Dan: 23:45
Yeah, Yeah. However, Friedman totally like, um, doing like this thing where they just come up with these new brands. Usually they comment. They call it, uh, like cities in the United States. Pittsburgh, Chicago, Dramatic right, That is the first in an accident and use a non U. S City name. But
Timothy: 24:07
that's a good one. Any other? Any other standouts
Eric: 24:10
I don't like for the house. To me when I was doing my biggest thing that was really nice is the walkie table saw 0 20 You saw that and the miter saw. And again I got it. The whole house. So I only had two outlets that we're live one. I was using the fridge. The other one's usurping. The battery chargers was very limited. I am prince for Cordless, and those two were methodical through so much use. I mean, cutting anything from cutting the new two by fours for the studs to doing some so foreign with it to doing trim work, played around with it. So it had a range of views like that,
Timothy: 24:54
right? I mean, obviously the Cordless Everything's gone Cordless now, So you know when you see the bigger tools like the table saws, the miter saws on battery only, it just seems like it opens up the, you know, options across the board for contractors. So it's really cool to see
Eric: 25:11
huge, very huge. Yeah, because you wouldn't think that, like these high demand tools will be able to be powered by a battery. You know, I mean, obviously looking to come a long way over the years, but you wouldn't think that you'd go to get that power.
Dan: 25:25
Yeah. I mean, I think now everything's bad or, you know, I mean, if you just look at opiates like zero turns a certain term battery in five years, you know, there's gonna be no gas here. Attorney's gonna look outdated except for commercial problem.
Timothy: 25:37
Right? You're right. And you, you for you guys to do. You guys do I mean, I I cover Opie is Well, was outdoor power equipment. But you guys go always go to that show the, uh, like an outdoor power equipment show.
Dan: 25:46
G A.
Timothy: 25:47
Yes. How is that? I've never been
Dan: 25:50
It's a good show. I mean, it's definitely, you know, for the O. P E market. Um, but it's definitely a good show to make connections at to see the latest in the industry. And they always have the latest mowers there. You know, John Deere's there, Ben Track, Um, ego. So you're you're seeing the latest stuff in the industry Green works is there, uh, you know, during that market? Definitely great show. That's the show of that market isn't
Timothy: 26:15
always in the same location.
Dan: 26:17
Yes, that's always at the Kentucky Expo Center and Louisville.
Timothy: 26:21
So that's probably why it's just been a little bit tougher for me to always get out there. But definite. Wanna put that on my schedule? So you guys gonna be at Milwaukee? Any other trend? And hardware show Milwaukee and other trips you guys have planned?
Eric: 26:32
Um, nothing I can think of Right now. We D'oh way! D'oh! Again a counter prices. You got totals four Come up. I can't remember what the artist says. Those to
Dan: 26:43
you. We don't want over to, like the last minute. Take all. Wait, we're leaving town tomorrow. What?
Timothy: 26:49
That's exciting. I mean, at least Ah, off! You'll let us know when when you're at the airport on Instagram and I'll be able to fall along from there,
Dan: 26:57
right? Yeah, sure, sure, but continue. It shows, man, we like seeing you. It shows replied, you're back to your endeavor air and your rocket man, you're rocking and we gotta come out to Vegas to your ranch.
Timothy: 27:08
You've got to do the ranch. Sandy. Sandy, Valley Ranch. I mean, I'm gonna be I don't know if I mean, I don't know. You guys are probably getting booked it. Ah, hardware show. But, um, you
Eric: 27:19
know our show for today? Yeah. You want to do a
Dan: 27:24
day at the hardware show? We could come there during one day.
Timothy: 27:27
Are you guys you could be the hardware show for four days
Dan: 27:30
A Monday, and we leave Thursday night or Friday night s? Oh,
Timothy: 27:36
yeah, but
Dan: 27:37
we could cover the harbor showing like Jude ain. Well,
Timothy: 27:39
if yeah, if we can talk later about trying to coordinate something, I'm I think I'm gonna come real quick at the show and head out. And on the way out, you know, we could both you head out to the ranch and, you know, whatever. Even if it's just, you know, you know, you could get a horse if you want, or you're getting a bull even like you said, if you want. But, ah, or you could just have dinner out there something. So So that's it. A fun place you can get in a bull. We have full writing. I think that's tools and actually there. Yeah, Yeah, it's Ah, you know, we'll have a little petting zoo with, like, you know, the chickens and goats all that stuff, but ah, but it's not far from Vegas. So you got to go and then you hit back that night Really easy, but yeah, Let's so we can talk later about, you know, a good time. It works out so that be fun
Dan: 28:27
Still sweet. That'll be cool, man. So, what's up with you? Are you working on the Toyota?
Timothy: 28:33
Ah, yeah. I've got the Land Cruiser still, um, you know, for me right now, I mean, it's cool. You kind of get some of these cherry looking vehicles. And for me, this truck, mechanically, it's all pretty good. But the body's rough and in a little bit of rest, there's a little you know, these are tourists are notoriously known for rust, and a little bit now is bubbling up around the rear window. And so I have that, plus some dings here and there that I just need to invest and take care of, and I just have not wanted to kind of put the cash on doing that, but I feel bad because it's a nice, older vehicle that I want to know I want to maintain. So, um, that's why I'm coming up with that. And in some ways, I wish. You know, Fortunately, it's not. It doesn't have to be a daily driver, but I do. You know, I do definitely use it almost daily. So, um so yeah, as you know, I mean, you haven't old truck. You want to keep up, and I just kind of not I used to do some, you know, a good amount of wheeling in it. And I'm kind of pulling back from that, cause I just I feel weird dinging up, like last time I dinged up this'll it'll rubber part of the rear. Ah, and cap on the rear bumper. And, you know, it's just now finding that is kind of a big expensive, and it just looks like crap. And so I've kind of pulled back and made it trying to get it back more to, um Ah, the original look. So So Yeah, it's fine. I mean, you know, you guys have jeeps and your old vehicles. So? So they're fun, for sure.
Dan: 29:54
Yeah, it's it's cool. it's assed al jik. You know, screen to have that Plus is fun on the weekend. You know, you go out like you're you know, you don't have to spend a lot of money for, you know, a Corvette or something. But, you know, the quarter of that into a jeep for an old four by four,
Timothy: 30:08
right at the ranch, We've got a couple of TVs. You've got a Honda pioneer side by side. And I know you guys would have a lot of fun ripping through the desert on that thing, too. So, another enticing thing to get out there, But anyway Hey, you guys. I appreciate all of your time today. You guys were busy with shop and everything, but thank you so much for coming on here and help me get this thing started.
Eric: 30:37
Good people. Yeah, great person. So we wish nothing but the best for you, and we will help you
Dan: 30:42
