This week we cracked open Diametric Brewing – Baby Crackman and Abomination Brewing – Make Sure It Dead, and immediately proved that our lives are just as chaotic as the topics we talk about.

Bryan’s ADHD was on full display during a trip to At Home trying to pick out curtains, while Conor and Geena are officially duck parents now. We had to take a few pauses along the way, but the chaos never really stopped.

Then we got a little deeper than expected.

We debate whether books are better than movies (a conversation that definitely isn’t over), and take a dive into Breaking Bad — not just the show, but how morally “good” characters slowly cross the line into becoming something else entirely.

And because we can’t stay serious for too long, we wrap things up by imagining pop culture cars as Transformers — including KITT from Knight Rider becoming something we probably shouldn’t have named… Knightbyte.

Life updates, moral philosophy, and absolute nonsense.

SPEAKER_00

Well, howdy.

SPEAKER_01

Howdy, y'all.

SPEAKER_00

Howdy, y'all. Are we pouring this into this? Poor decisions. Which class? Take your pick. I don't care.

SPEAKER_01

Alright.

SPEAKER_00

Poor decisions. My name's Brian. My name's Connor. How you doing? And we're if you can't hear the music, that's why we're talking like this.

SPEAKER_01

I tell you who, I've been playing a lot of Red Damn Demption 2 lately, and this is a Oh, have you?

SPEAKER_00

Of course, yeah. I know you enjoy that game.

SPEAKER_01

I love that game.

SPEAKER_00

Did you ever do the unicorn?

SPEAKER_01

What's that?

SPEAKER_00

Where you take the battle axe and you have to like put it. You have to like somehow throw it upside down and put it in a horse's head.

SPEAKER_01

No, I didn't try to kill a horse, because you can't you shouldn't kill your own horse. I didn't say it had to be your horse. Still, you shouldn't kill a horse. It's it's good at Goju.

SPEAKER_00

You can get a good look at a T-bone by sticking your head up there, but it's gotta be your buttons.

SPEAKER_01

It's gotta be your bowl.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, apparently there was an achievement called like unicorn or something like that. And it was literally like taking one of the like the throwing axe or whatever and putting it right in the middle of the horse's head.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I wouldn't do that to a horse. I feel bad enough when I have to like like pickpocket one off of like. You have to pickpocket a horse? Yeah, there's uh there's the there's the O'Driscolls, uh, they're the you know the rival gang. Oh like the O'Malley's and the yeah, or what was it, the uh McCor uh McCoys and Hatfields or whatever? And if you if you find uh like a or any sort of like there's like gang like hideouts, and uh they'll always they'll almost always have just like their horses uh uh like uh hitched, and you can uh you know you can search the the satchel on the on the horse and but you have to pet it first, otherwise it will kick you.

SPEAKER_00

But it's not the horse's stuff, but you feel bad for pickpocketing a horse. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

How about a beer?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. All right, what are we drinking here, sir?

SPEAKER_01

Uh we are drinking baby crackman creme ale from uh our buddies over at uh Diametric. Shout out to Blake. Yeah, uh Black A. Some people like to call. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So uh if anybody's familiar, they have the Hugh Crackman, Hugh Crackman, which is the pistachio creme, which we had that one pistachio creme. We did. It was god awful. Yeah, it was. But uh what was who gave that to us? Uh Ben. I think it was Ben Williams.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, oh God, it was a six-pack, right?

SPEAKER_00

I think so.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that was.

SPEAKER_00

Well, he brought a six-pack for all of us, and you and I split one on the show and it was not good. You could tell it was extra, or not extract, but uh it was extract.

SPEAKER_01

It was like it was oil or whatever. It was it was extract. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

When I was saying extract, I didn't mean like an extract kit.

SPEAKER_01

No, but it was the extract of almond. Almond, yes. Or pistachious or pistachio, whatever. And it was uh a nut uh extract.

SPEAKER_00

I would not I would not want to drink that again. Not at all. No, not at all. Uh but then literally like a month later, Blake at Diametric did the Hugh Crackman, which was a pistachio cream ale. Which and we were nervous about it, and then we drank it. It was like, oh, oh, is this what this is supposed to be like? Is this also uh so this is the pay baby crackman? So he uh it he added, I think, cocoa nibs or chocolate or something. I get chocolate. It's supposed to basically be like the Dubai chocolate, you know, the the Dubai chocolate with the chocolate with the fad with fad chocolate. Yeah, the TikTok chocolate.

SPEAKER_01

Fad, not not the other F-word, fad F-A-D.

SPEAKER_00

But it's supposed to be like chocolate with do what you want, say what you mean. One thing leads to another.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry, the music freaking what where are you going with that? I don't even do I know this song. Should I should I know this song? Yeah. What?

SPEAKER_00

Uh I'd have to look it up. I don't remember who sings this song. Oh, then yeah, that really helps. But there's probably a lot of our our older uh if my dad, I could be like, hey, who sings this song? He'd be like, oh yeah, so-and-so by da da da. By the old diddly boys and doodled. Yeah, yeah. Good old boys brothers band from Chicago. But yeah, they had the TikTok chocolate or whatever, where it was chocolate with pistachio in it. That's pretty fucking good. And it is really good. Like Jin and I went to Diametric because we were going to at home to pick up the giant beer and look at um uh curtain stuff that I uh uh I was interested in, and but I my ADD was on extreme apparently, and I kept running off. I am shocked. Yeah, Jin wasn't very happy with me about it, especially yesterday when we I went to go put up said curtains, and uh we realized that um the uh the dark curtain part, not the shear part, uh, was drastically not wide enough. So are they blackout curtains or what? I mean they're not like blackout curtains, but they are curtains. Curtains. So we have like a two-room thing where we have a shear, and then we have the curtain curtain to you know for proper proper privacy, if you will. And uh I I admitted, like, that's my bad. I thought it was under control, and I was letting you run with it, and I should have paid more attention.

SPEAKER_01

Well, but was it her was it her idea?

SPEAKER_00

We've been talking about getting curtains and replacing the blinds because you know, we have pets. Like the furrow ball that's run that way.

SPEAKER_01

That one.

SPEAKER_00

Uh you know, this is right. Although Jen did accidentally break one of them or two of them. Yeah, I've broken a blind.

SPEAKER_01

Literally like I've broken a blind before.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but it was literally like a week after I bought new ones. Whatever. It's fine. Uh anyway. Uh, yeah, so we started doing the whole curtain thing, and yeah, I uh was not being a very good boyfriend and paying attention.

SPEAKER_01

I feel like I'm thinking of the scene from uh uh from old school.

SPEAKER_00

You're gonna I don't know if we're gonna have enough time. I don't know if we're gonna have enough time.

SPEAKER_01

We're gonna go pick out Tile. It's like what? Hint this.

SPEAKER_00

Like, oh, it's so good when it touches the lips.

SPEAKER_01

Break the tank. Break the tank. I don't know. We're gonna go to uh what does he say? We're gonna go to Home Depot. He's like, eh, finish off with the Home Depot. I don't know if we have enough time. I don't know if we have enough time. Yeah. No, we uh so we started construction, well, more or less finished construction on the on the House of Ducks.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah?

SPEAKER_01

Because we're uh the ducks got delivered as of today, which is Monday.

SPEAKER_00

Oh man.

SPEAKER_01

It's a two to three day delivery window. Hopefully they all arrive alive uh between now and Wednesday. Uh otherwise they'll just send you a replacement. And it's kind of sad that they're just like, oh, your duck died. Alright, here you are. Your duckling died. Sorry, we'll send you another one. Um because they're getting sent from California. Oh, yeah. Uh so we yesterday we built the house for the most part. That way Daisy uh doesn't get to them. Well, no, no, not not so much Daisy, but predators. Well, because I know you had that mangy freaking fox, yeah. Uh literally next door. And we have we have hawks that like we have hawks and uh uh vultures that fly around our neighborhood all the time. God dang. Yeah. I know we've had a possum in our backyard. Uh yeah, raccoons also eat ducks. Uh raccoons will kill ducks.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Yes. Never thought raccoons were not divisions.

SPEAKER_00

They're not ducking around.

SPEAKER_01

They're not ducking around. So that was my day yesterday. Yeah, it was a long fucking day, dude. It was a long day.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean, I I put a whole FIFA World Cup trophy together via Lego.

SPEAKER_01

I wish I did that. And then I put up the curtains. I'll uh let's here, let me show you. This is this is great radio, by the way. Me showing Brian a a video or a photo of of a thing I did.

SPEAKER_00

Of the duckhouse.

SPEAKER_01

It looks really good. It we we did a lot.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah, that does look good. Somebody's calling me. I gotta pause this real quick. We'll be right back, everybody. Alright, we're back. And we're back. Yeah. Connor showed me the picture. I had to take a phone call real quick. Uh but everything's good.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we're getting ducks, and if you want some uh duck eggs, Brian, uh I I might know I might know a guy.

SPEAKER_00

No, I'm good. Eggs maybe. Eggs, maybe.

SPEAKER_01

I said duck eggs, not ducks. Okay, thank God. It's all females. We're not getting a uh a Drake. I I've seen Jurassic Park. There's no ducks in that movie. No, it was all females.

SPEAKER_00

Because you know, life finds a way.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but okay. Alright. Okay, Steven Spielberg, let's calm down. No, that was Jeff Goldblum's character. Yeah, but Steven Spielberg made the movie. He didn't write the book. But he made the movie. Oh, and that's more important? You know what? So half the time the the movie's better than the books.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's a logical argument. You know what? That'd be a great conversation. That is a good conversation. That would be a good segment in that. Uh we will have to dive into that.

SPEAKER_01

Which ones are which what what is better in between these?

SPEAKER_00

The movie or the I think we need to talk to I need to talk to our assistant about that. I think to get some references.

SPEAKER_01

I think a lot of Stephen King books are so much better than the movies.

SPEAKER_00

Usually books are better than the movies, but I I want to counterpoint that. This is it would be a good debate one. Uh I'll start diving into you know talking to our assistant about this and trying to figure out good uh, you know, arguments, pros and cons for both sides.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, which one's better than the other?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Like I'm sure there's movies that made And there's some there's movies that I've seen that that are books that I have not read.

SPEAKER_01

Most. And I will probably never read the book. Because I don't need to.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, the only one that I can really say I've read through most of it is Hechaker's Guide to the Galaxy. That's fair. And I haven't even read through all five parts of the great of the trilogy.

SPEAKER_01

And I've never read a single James Bond book.

SPEAKER_00

I did say five parts of the trilogy. I've never read a John's Bond book either.

SPEAKER_01

You could you can knock all of them out in the day.

SPEAKER_00

I've never read it any of the Tom Clancy books. But my dad read every single one of them. Probably twice at least. See, I'm gonna go ahead and say the video games are better than anything. Well, and that's not even based. It's I go, I guess, loosely based off of books, but you know, there's extra missions. Anyway, I digress. Uh, we have another a different uh we're gonna lead into a different thing. Uh kind of speaking on a lot of movie kind of time frames. Um I love how uh when I started discussing this segment with you, you're like, yeah, I didn't really like watch breaking bad though.

SPEAKER_01

Or you you didn't, or not recently, I haven't.

SPEAKER_00

Not recently, but you said something about I I said made the comment of breaking bad, and you're I watched the whole series. Your follow-up was something about like not enjoying the end or something. No, I thought it was a great. I I had you said something, I guess I don't remember because this was this was over a month ago now.

SPEAKER_01

But it was like I I haven't watched it in a long time.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean I haven't either.

SPEAKER_01

Don't re like I remember the series, but like so many nuances.

SPEAKER_00

And I never finished watching uh Better Call Saul.

SPEAKER_01

I never watched Better Call Saul.

SPEAKER_00

Um I enjoyed it. The I but I only watched like I think the first two or three seasons. Yeah. Um, right up to the point, spoilers, his brother accidentally kills himself. Oh no, yeah, oh no, nothing to see here. Um, but breaking bad is basically a term that is used for for when a good person goes bad. And for when a good person goes bad. So a little while ago, I you know, breaking bad is a character who starts morally good or neutral and slowly crosses that line under pressure, uh, be it you know, pride, fear, trauma, ambition, uh, but whatever it takes. Yeah, the key is we understand the choice even when we shouldn't. So, like, for example, and I think I tried to keep out uh no, Walter White isn't here, but Walter White is you know, the show was called Breaking Bad. Yeah, and it's the idea is that you know he was just a chemistry teacher in high school who got diagnosed with cancer and decided that he wanted to try and help his family, yep, but then that just kind of kept snowballing into by making meth and then he was Heisenberg. Yep, and I think that's kind of that turning point of oh yeah, you're not good anymore. You have definitely crossed that line.

SPEAKER_01

But I mean, you could say that Skylar became evil too.

SPEAKER_00

There is argument for that. I've seen, you know, I guess posts and stuff about that. Um being, I'm gonna skip that song. Yeah, it's that was uh but you know, I I did see some sort of an article like basically arguing that Skylar was the villain.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, and I've seen other articles where people do just funny little flips about like, oh, this was the real villain right here. Yeah. Uh, you know, Jesse's the victim, and you know, the other shows that we grew up uh with or young adulthood and stuff like that. And so, um, I kind of broke this down into like a tier system, if you will. So we have the core five, and it's uh we got Michael Corleone. Michael Corleone. Corleone, sorry. I always Corleone or whatever. Corleone, yes. So, which if you're not familiar, it's the godfather. And so this segment I have in here, it's it actually goes into what was the reasoning, basically. Like what was that breaking bad kind of Yeah, I know.

SPEAKER_01

Michael Corleone, he was he was the son of the godfather.

SPEAKER_00

So and so his was loyalty. Yeah. I mean, he killed his own brother.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You know, well, okay, he had his own brother killed. He didn't do it, he put the hit out. Yes, because you know, he he became the godfather. He doesn't have to do his own dirty work. Exactly. I need to go back and watch that. It's been a long time since I've watched it. Oh, I know it is, and I didn't watch it until I was probably in my 30s.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't watch it and I was probably uh 19 or 20 the first time I watched like that in casino. Holy shit, man.

SPEAKER_00

In the last couple years, I've just actually sat down and watched Casino from beginning to end.

SPEAKER_01

Like I'd seen several pieces. God, that ending scene where they fucking beat the shit out of I'm not ruining anything, am I? It's been out long enough. Spoiler alert, if you haven't watched Casino yet, then you're doing it.

SPEAKER_00

Anything, I think, I mean, honestly, like what's the spoiler thing? It's supposed to be like you have a week to be able to talk about it, a year to be able to spoil anything. Yeah, and then after that, sorry. But like, okay, we're going beyond a decade. That was like 40 years ago. Like Godfather?

SPEAKER_01

No, I'm a casino.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, casino? Um here, let's pull it. Uh, but yeah, uh, so he tried to stay clean. He literally tried to turn the family business legit.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And I mean, that's a lot of casino, or not casino, but like mobster type movies, is you have this I don't want to call them anti-hero, but they basically are trying, they know they're a part of a corrupt family, yeah, and they try to turn legit. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And inevitably, they always end up going further in. That's why we have so many mattress warehouses and car washes. You know what's crazy? Casino came out in 95. Did did you see one car wash or mattress uh store closed during COVID? No. No, it's all a front for the mafia.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, that was convinced. Uh uh, that was one of the things. Uh, what is it? Southside mafia pizza. I'm just like, really? That seems a little on the nose. It's a little on the nose. But hey man, you know, no one's gonna say boo. No, because uh there was like uh it was called like uh there was another one. It was not like Southside Mafia Pizza, which is here in uh KC Grandview area. There was another one that was very similar uh over on uh over on the Kansas side, and it was like uh Metcalf.

SPEAKER_01

And well, I know there was a place over in Lanexa off of like 87th Street um that was owned by an old school Italian family that would like they would feed uh like these these classic mobsters that came through Kansas City. Yeah, and they're they're still in business.

SPEAKER_00

They're never getting clues, Danny.

SPEAKER_01

They are probably never getting closed. Linksa's never gonna say, you know what? We need to do a health inspection. Yeah, no, do you though?

SPEAKER_00

Here's a couple bucks. No, you don't. You know what? Looks good to me.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna go ahead and say uh President Benjamin Franklin, uh George Washington. He was not he was never a president.

SPEAKER_00

And let me see who else uh friends, uh Abraham Lincoln? I'm doing the Roxberry thing. Yeah. All right. So he believed in justice and trauma shattered it, right? So the debate hook is that oh, uh wait, nope, sorry, I was looking at the wrong one. So he tried to stay clean, chose his family, but became the monster. And that's one of those things. Like, he's like, every time I try to get out, they pull me back in. Yep, right? So uh the debate hook is uh was it loyalty or ego?

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

I think there was a little bit of both on that. Honestly, if you go back and watch it, like yes, like he was loyal, but a lot of that loyalty you know cause the ego. So, all right, uh next one, Harvey Dent.

SPEAKER_01

I think this is a classic one, especially for a lot of like those 90s kind of I mean you're the DA and you become you know a wicked evil villain.

SPEAKER_00

I I feel like the what was it, Batman and Robin? Or no, that was Batman Forever, did Harvey Dent an injustice on because you see how Riddler became Riddler, yeah, but it starts off where Too Faced is just Too Faced.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I mean, yeah, it starts off and they just have like a little the dark the dark knight really gives a good background as to why he became two-faced, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Uh, but like in you know and Tommy Lee Jones did a great job.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I think the animated series also kind of shone light on that too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they did. But again, like I I just feel like a lot of people know the story, but uh, you know, in Batman and Rob or Batman Forever, like they just had this tiny little blurp, like it was on a TV, yeah, showing, you know, her, you know, him getting attacked in a courtroom and becoming two-faced. Yeah, not the whole dichotomy of how it happened, which uh in this one it does say, you know, based off of the dark night, which is it's a trauma-based thing that happened.

SPEAKER_01

Which I feel like that's a lot of like evil turn.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, trauma. Like you I mean, Batman, for example, is you have you know one bad day, right? Yeah, like that's one bad day. I mean, one bad day for anybody can turn anybody from a good person into a villain.

SPEAKER_01

That's the killing joke. Yeah, and which oh, it's such a good movie, dude. Yeah, have you watched the animated movie? Yeah, I've seen that one. Oh my god, it's dark as fuck. It starts off really kind of weird, then it gets really dark because it really does. Because the Joker does, you know, unspeakable acts.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, again, it's not at the beginning there was some unspeakable acts too.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Wild.

SPEAKER_00

We won't spoil that one. Go watch it.

SPEAKER_01

Please do. Pretty sure it's on HBO Max.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah, I think every pretty much everything's on HBO. Because I've been I'm still on like the first episode of the case. Most of the DC stuff um is on HBO Max. Yeah. Uh, because I I I keep trying to watch the animated series. I'm still like on the first episode.

SPEAKER_01

Dude, I'm like, I I think I'm on like episode 30 of season one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, of like 60 episodes or whatever. All right. So, uh, but yeah, Harvey Denton, he believed uh in justice, not in justice, but in justice.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he was a district attorney.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, uh, and then trauma shattered it. Uh, so the debate hook is did Gotham fail him or was he fragile all along?

SPEAKER_01

Gotham failed him.

SPEAKER_00

I think so, yeah. Gotham broke him. Yeah. Because I mean, again, it I I do think that that Dark Knight, because I think you know, he was on that edge, and Heath Lesnar's Joker kind of just said, here, let me help you. Yeah. Push. He didn't like push, push. He just little tap on the shoulder. Oh shit, I lost my balance. Just tap it in. Just tap it in. You just gave him a little tap, or just like almost like the finger point, just bink, and over the edge he goes.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not touching you.

SPEAKER_00

All right. So uh obviously the reason why we're you know, one of the reasons why we're talking about this is Walter White in Breaking Bad. So his was a pride thing. I think, you know, it began at the beginning, like he was kind of a good guy, he had his pride moment, but then it just kind of kept getting tested. Yeah, and he just eventually kind of broke. Uh so said it was for family, he stayed for the power because he started getting the power. I mean, po power corrupts absolutely, right?

SPEAKER_01

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, um, so the debate hook is at what exact moment did he become the villain? Uh, I think it's when he started cooking the meth. It's like uh bad guy or villain. Because I mean, the moment he cooked it, all right, you're a bad guy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Like it was supposed to be that one time.

SPEAKER_01

Season one, he becomes a bad guy.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

When he starts hiding it from his family, bad guy. Bad guy.

SPEAKER_00

Now, full-on villain mode?

SPEAKER_01

No. He had, I think he had the right intention in mind.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, he was literally legitimately trying to take care of the family. Uh, then got a handy underneath a table at a school function. Yeah, you know, he's like uh you know, like the Robin Hood of Methmakers. Robin I'm uh making for the poor and stealing from the rich or selling to the rich to give to the poor.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Whatever. Here's uh here here it is. Have my blue, what was it called? Blue blue steel?

SPEAKER_00

Or the blue meth, it was which is the most purest form. Yeah. It was like 99 96% pure. Pure meth. This is pure chemicals. This is really good, guys. Oh yeah. Well, and it was what was it? Like uh Jesse cut putting what cayenne pepper in it? Yeah. He's like, we're not fucking doing that. He's like, that's how you know it's my that's my signature. He's like, it doesn't do anything.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, that's flavor.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I need a little sp I need that spicy meth. It's gonna be the flavor of flavor of flavor town. You mean the mayor? No, the flavor. I'm gonna be the flavor flavor of Mayortown.

SPEAKER_00

Alright. Uh now here's another big one. Uh epic one for us. Uh and it can skywalk. Oh, that's a good one. It is. And you know, and more so Star Wars Episode 3. And a lot of it was because of fear.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, it also he turned bad when he killed all those kids. Well, I think he kind of already was headed that way. Yeah, but he definitely just killed a bunch of kids.

SPEAKER_00

The whole freaking thing. It was uh uh MTV uh movie awards, and they're like, said you killed Younglings. No, I killed at Younglings. It's a club down in the West Bottoms or whatever.

SPEAKER_01

Uh I remember seeing that in theaters for the first time just like, what the fuck is we know what's happening, but what the hell? We're we're watching this happen? Yeah, like everybody knew it was going to happen. Because what year did that come out, like 2003? Yeah, I was gonna say 2003, 2004. Because uh the Phantom Menace was 99.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because I remember going to that one.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, same. And then the Clone Wars was 2001. 2005. So, okay.

SPEAKER_00

Was episode three? Well, because Clone Wars, yeah, it was like 2001 because it was supposed to be Well, that one was Attack of the Clones, wasn't it? Episode two.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I'm sorry, yeah. Attack of the Clones.

SPEAKER_00

Because the book is a it is Clone Wars. Well, and then they did the they did the series. Well, they did the series, but the reason why they changed it to Attack of the Clones is because 9-11 had happened. Yeah, and so they changed the title to not so it was it was post-9-11.

SPEAKER_01

Or was it pre-9-11?

SPEAKER_00

It was post. Okay. I think the filming was done, it just hadn't been released yet, and so they changed the title on the release due to us guarding.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe Steven Spielberg knew something and it was just I don't know. Change change the name.

SPEAKER_00

Alright. Um so yeah, his and it wasn't necessarily just fear as in scared, it it was fear of loss for his family, because you know, Padme got praggers. Yep. Right? Um so he manipulated it, but was not helpless. So this is one of those ones that you could argue, like, okay, should he should he have been able to you know fight against it, becoming the bad guy? You know, that movie's actually pretty good, man. I enjoy it. Everybody freaking hated on all uh three of those episodes.

SPEAKER_01

One one through three is pretty good, man. Not gonna lie.

SPEAKER_00

But everybody tried to hold it up to you have the different generational people that try to always hold it up to the other trilogy.

SPEAKER_01

It's never nothing's ever going to beat the original three. No. But like it appealed to a new generation of fans.

SPEAKER_00

I have always been curious though, that if they were to go and redo.

SPEAKER_01

The last three sucked, though.

SPEAKER_00

And see, and that's the thing. Like, everybody has a generation. Four, you know, the people that grew up with four, five, and six think that one, two, and three suck. The people that grew up with one, two, and three think seven, eight, nine suck. And they they are not they are objectively not good. And the people that grew up with seven, eight, nine probably think four, five, and six suck.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, they probably think one through six sucks. Probably. Um because And they like Andor and all those stupid fucking shows.

SPEAKER_00

Because like in the books, I mean, going back to that whole debate of you know, books being better, like the uh Luke actually does kind of go towards the dark side briefly, and then is able to kind of course correct, I guess if you will. Yeah, and I I'm not read it, but you know, talking to a buddy who did read it, he talked to me about that he that Luke does kind of go dark side for a bit. Did you talk to Chris about it? Chris. Uh Chris Lori. No, I have not. Okay. No, this was back like when one, two, and three were coming out. Oh, okay. Uh like I had uh uh a good friend of mine at that time. We disc we were discussing it because he had read through the books. Yeah. Um because he uh George Lucas already had all nine books out. Like, and that's one of those things, like there's books for it, but just everybody has been always so much more fixated on the movies.

SPEAKER_01

Of course, because you can watch movies, you can't watch books.

SPEAKER_00

No, I mean reading's hard. Yeah, it is. What's the thing uh Nick Offerman said in uh uh The New Girl? I never learned how to read, I just memorized a bunch of words. Yeah. That is I definitely feel that. Yeah. Like I'm not good at reading.

SPEAKER_01

Did you say that was Nick Offerman?

SPEAKER_00

Uh not Offerman, sorry. Uh his name was Nick. Yeah, but I know I know what you're talking about. But uh the actual his actual name, uh Jack Johnson. Jake Johnson.

SPEAKER_01

Whoa, whoa, whoa, you're getting a bunch of names. No, what the fuck is this? God damn it, it's not Jack Johnson. He's a he's a songwriter. He did the soundtrack for Curious George.

SPEAKER_00

That's a weird way to go with that, but okay. Okay, tell me what that name is. Jake Johnson. What did I say?

SPEAKER_01

You said Jack Johnson. I thought I said Jake, though, too. Maybe you did. We'll have to go back to the tape.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. You know, put it down in the chat. Yeah. Alright.

SPEAKER_01

Anyway.

SPEAKER_00

It looked completely lost where I was at, though. That's okay. That's what's what happened. Um so uh on Anakin though, you know, the hook though is was it tragic or wildly avoidable? He just assumed, because he saw he had visions of Padme, you know, losing her life.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And literally it was his vision, was his vision. Had he not done that, just been like, eh, well, you know, shit happens, she probably doesn't die. She didn't die, she lost the will to live. Yeah, she did. Which, how does a robot know that? It's like, because the robot says, like, she's healthy in every way. Just she's just seemingly lost the will to live. Yeah, what do they know what the will to live is? No shit. There's humans that don't know what the will of anything is.

SPEAKER_01

That's fair. Alright. So I'm gonna go ahead and say these next three. I have no fucking idea who any of these people are.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I was gonna skip this one because I get no idea.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know Death Note, I never watched Game of Thorno.

SPEAKER_00

I watched the movie, never read the or never read the Magma? Magna?

SPEAKER_01

Manga. Mang, sorry. Man, I'm just all over the place today. Yeah, I don't know Death Note, and I've never watched Game of Thrones.

SPEAKER_00

Um that's Dino uh but Killmonger, I feel like, is a very good one.

SPEAKER_01

Who is that?

SPEAKER_00

So he was the guy who uh the bad guy in the first Black Panther movie. Okay, I think um played by Michael B. Jordan.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, okay. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But and again, why did he try why was he the bad guy? He you know it never really specified that he was a good guy. Yeah. Like ultimately, like you could almost see it being the opposite, because he kind of saw in the end, like, oh shit, like okay, like this is the point. Like you could argue it six ways, you know, six ways one way, yeah, yeah, half a dozen of another way. Um he was anger or his he had anger at the injustice, you know, where his father was killed by his brother, you know, his father's brother, who was T'Cala's father, who was the king of Wakanda, right?

SPEAKER_01

Wakanda forever.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. And then, you know, he grew up just being angry at this whole thing. So it was more of a basically what a lot of it comes down to is just revenge.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's fair.

SPEAKER_00

Which I mean, I he was a kid.

SPEAKER_01

Revenge is a great, great tool to go from good to evil.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I mean, it's a dish best served cold.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I like my you know, revenge temp. You want some hot revenge? Uh room temp. Not too cold, not too hot. I want my Goldilocks.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, like April 15th, you know, the perfect date.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. What is the perfect date to you? April 15th, not too hot, not too cold.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, the carga just does everything. What? Okay. Alright. So, um we had a couple others that uh was tragic but under or not tragic but understandable. Uh like some of the other ones that I I kind of push off to the down to the side that we could kind of cover later on. Uh, we had stuff like Magneto. You know, like you know, seeing you know the X-Men movies, and you know, potentially reading the comics, is you see why he became the way he was. Yeah. Even though in the first class movie, like he didn't start off bad. Yeah. But you know, some stuff kind of brought came brought back up, and that's what ended up. He just kind of said, you know what, fuck the system. This is where I'm going.

SPEAKER_01

It's a great song, by the way, by System of It Down.

SPEAKER_00

Which one?

SPEAKER_01

Fuck the system.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, yeah. Um see, like there's a couple other names on here. Uh, so uh, so they had B tier. I get it, but you had options. Uh so that one was where uh Anakin came from. Uh and then uh Daenerys. Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones, who was the uh she was the dragon queen.

SPEAKER_01

Right, yeah, that's all I know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um, and I've never finished watching Game of Thrones, so I don't fully know, but I I guess I now looking back at what I've been watching, I'm like, okay, I see that kind of her shift going towards I'm gonna fuck you all. Alright. Uh the the C tier is this is mostly on you. Uh Scarlet Witch. I can see that. Yeah. That's on her, right? Yeah. Um then we have the D tier. This literally says, you are always the problem. I need to watch the boys. So Homelander is basically like Superman, but coming to find out he's engineered.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I need to I need to watch this show. Um, it's I've everyone's just like you would love this.

SPEAKER_00

Based off of your enjoyment so much of like Batman and stuff like that. I know I know I would like it. Killing joke and whatnot. Like, it is graphic.

SPEAKER_01

Well, and I know it's all just like if you know if if super superheroes were like uh if they got paid by the government, essentially, right? Basically. They were like hired hitmen.

SPEAKER_00

Basically, yes. Um, and then actually I think it was season two or three really dives into it a lot more where there's a lot more kind of flashback stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Well, and it kind of like what what little I know reminds me of uh uh oh fuck, what's the John Cena one? Um oh Peacemaker? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I have not watched any of those. He's a hired gun, essentially, and just like was just like I'm I'm just I was born to kill people.

SPEAKER_00

Whoever hires me, right? Yeah. Um but yeah, Homelander he.

SPEAKER_01

You haven't watched Peacemaker? Dude, it's so good.

SPEAKER_00

You haven't watched Boys?

SPEAKER_01

I know. There's more series, there's more seasons of boys than Peacemaker, but Peacemaker's really No, I've heard good stuff.

SPEAKER_00

I just I know Jen doesn't care for John Cena. Why? She can't even see him. You can't even see him. Uh he's invisible. Yeah, no, I get it. I I I tried to tell her that. She didn't seem to understand.

SPEAKER_01

I don't get it. Jen, what are you doing? John Cena's great.

SPEAKER_00

She hasn't been listening the last couple episodes because you know, she's busy with a new job.

SPEAKER_01

That new with that new gig. With that new gig.

SPEAKER_00

Sorry, I had to skip that one. That sounds like cats being freaking just being smooth. This is way better. Actually, you know what? I'm gonna go like this song. Lazy Blues by Simon.

SPEAKER_01

And I've got a lazy and John.

SPEAKER_00

So also on the on the URL is the problem. The Joker.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because I mean, do we ever I fully get a accurate origin story? Because I know the latest thing I've seen is the whole uh what is that red mask thing. Where the guy who is Red Hood, Red Hood. The Red Hood, yeah, yeah. Yeah, Red Hood. Yeah, like that is who becomes the Joker.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I there's uh I think it's in the the killing joke, right? Where it's just like he fell into a vat of acid.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like he was Red Hood, who was already a bad guy. Yeah. But like, okay, where what's I I guess I do not know anything about Red Hood's neither do I origins. Neither do I. And ultimately, like that might be something that they've just never dived into.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Dove?

SPEAKER_00

Dove into?

SPEAKER_01

Dove'? Dove.

SPEAKER_00

Dovetail?

SPEAKER_01

Dove soap.

SPEAKER_00

Dove tails? Brought to you brought to you by Irish Spring Soap. You know what? I prefer tailspin. I'm just talking about a weird tangent on that one. Alright, so I mean, that's kind of what we have for you know breaking bad, right? Um that was something I really wanted to try to get into. You know, a while ago, just we've been kept and putting it on the back burner.

SPEAKER_01

Can I uh go go get the bathroom real quick?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Okay. We'll just we'll be right back, everybody. That's why we need ads. Pause for the cause. Yeah, pausing. We're back. We're back. It's a very pausy episode, if you want. Yeah, it is. That's fine. It's fine. Yeah. It happens. I mean, at some point, like, we we'll hopefully, potentially, have ads as well. Well, you know, we'll get there. And one, you know, that's when we can do the pauses and stuff. Yeah. Uh-huh. Because I mean, you know, we are human. We gotta use the podcaster's room or sometimes, you know, you have important phone calls that come in. Yeah. So, anyway, next topic. I it was I think I came across, you know, Sora's been going crazy on, you know, people creating AI videos, right? We should be getting into another beer here soon. Yeah, we should.

SPEAKER_01

Where are you at, dog? That's her yet. Alright.

SPEAKER_00

Bottoms up, everybody. Give me a second. Alright. I will let uh Connor go pick out a fresh beer while I start uh downloading you all on the next segment. Sure, whatever. Uh I'm gonna talk into your ear holes. So I was perusing through some social media stuff, and I I posted, I I came up with this segment a little while ago now. Uh probably a little over a month ago as well. And maybe just a couple weeks. Anyway, I digress. It was it turned a car that I grew up with, and I can't remember what it was at this time, but it is it was uh an iconic car, let's say like a night rider, which is gonna come up, right? You know, kit from night rider, um, into a transformer. And so we did those. You don't want to do anything else special? What's the stuff on the bottom uh shelf there in the in the four-pack ring still? There's surely ooh, sorry everybody. So again, I I don't fully remember what car it was. I mean, it might have even been like the Ghostbusters car or something else. But like it was they it was sort of you know getting crazy nowadays, right? People creating AI videos and whatnot. Uh um, and some of them are really good. I do enjoy a lot of them. Um I I know I I do have to pretty frequently remind Jen, like she shows me something, I'm like, yeah, that's AI. She's fake. She's like, God damn it. And because some of them are very convincing. Convincing. Now, like it's for more serious videos, not something like you know, a car turning into a transformer. I'm not saying Jin believes in transformers. Uh I mean, they are more than meet the eye, but don't be deceived.

SPEAKER_01

That is That's got some dregs. Oh, wow.

SPEAKER_00

Good lord. How old is this?

SPEAKER_01

It is a uh oh god, smoothie style.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's why it's got dregs.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's why it's got the funk.

SPEAKER_00

I got the funk.

SPEAKER_01

Well, let's try it out. How about a beer? We never clinked before. Yeah, oh my god. How dare you? Oh man, this is gonna be a terrible episode.

SPEAKER_00

Worst episode ever. We didn't clink the glasses. How dare you! Oh, Jesus Christ. Sorry, everybody. All right.

SPEAKER_01

So what are we drinking here, sir? Uh, this is uh make sure it's dead. Well, from Brick City. Uh, it's a smoothie-style sour ale with sour soap, whatever the fuck that is. Uh karuba or I'm assuming it's karuba and pink guava. Um yeah, this is uh a beer.

SPEAKER_00

Sour soap is a plant. A tropical evergreen tree known for its large, spiny green fruit with sweet tart, creamy pulp that tastes like a mix of strawberry, pineapple, and citrus.

SPEAKER_01

So it's uh uh abomination brewing company in collaboration with Brick City. I think this is a part of part of a 12% beer.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's the one reason why I grabbed it. Yeah. Because we've enjoyed a lot of the other, we've had some of the abomination stuff before. Yeah, I think our least favorite's been that pumpkin one that we did on the video. Which if you haven't if you haven't gone out and watched that video, uh, it's 90 minutes long.

SPEAKER_01

And you'll never drink a pumpkin beer after it.

SPEAKER_00

And we will convince you to never have a pumpkin beer. Um, and honestly, I think I saw enough this come out this year uh that we could have done it again. That looks like an avocado. Except for the inside.

SPEAKER_01

Or a dragon fruit.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, Jack Johnson? What?

SPEAKER_01

Jake Johnson.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_01

Well, that's pretty sour.

SPEAKER_00

John Jacob hit Jingleheimer Schmidt.

SPEAKER_01

His name is my name, too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Whenever I go out. That's pretty good. Yeah. No, that like that's solid. I do get a lot of that smoothie. Doesn't taste like a beer, that's for sure. No, it does not. What is the percent on this? What do you think? Um, you know, um, here, let me let me try to get into it a little bit. It's cold. It's cool. It's some high quality issue.

SPEAKER_01

It's some high quality issue. Water sucks. It really, really sucks.

SPEAKER_00

You know, I feel like my default go-to is always like a five-six.

SPEAKER_01

Is that your final answer? Sure. 7-4. Dang, I'm that hot. Yeah, I know, right? God dang! It's pretty good. Like, it does not taste like beer. It does not taste that boozy. It doesn't taste like beer.

SPEAKER_00

No, it doesn't. It tastes like a fucking smoothie. It doesn't even taste like an alcoholic smoothie.

SPEAKER_01

God. Sorry.

SPEAKER_00

You know.

SPEAKER_01

No, I'm just saying, like, the the styles are getting out of hand.

SPEAKER_00

Well, in everything, unless it's uh because I know you know no one used to talk about this. I was like, oh no, it's a Kolsch style. Because you can only make it Kolsch if it's from Cologne. Cone. Cone. Yeah. But you know, whatever. Come on. From the Coleman? Cone. Well, it's like, you know, uh champagne. Champagne can only be from tequila. And tequila, and you know, everything else and bourbon. Exactly. There's a steam beer, right? Yeah. Everything else is called a con. Out of a steamboat. Okay, one-eyed Willie. Not that right reference. No. But it works. That was a good call. That was a good pull. Great movie. Which one? Steamboat Willy? One-eyed Willy. I mean, both good movies, right?

SPEAKER_01

Steamboat Willy. That's iconic. Who cares?

SPEAKER_00

I don't.

SPEAKER_01

Neither do I.

SPEAKER_00

Alright. Look it up, people. Look at that. There's no sound.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's a little bit more. Come on, this is a mouth.

SPEAKER_00

We need Rift Tracks to do something with that.

SPEAKER_01

Of Steamboat Willy. 30-second close Steamboat Willy. Just a dumbass mouse on a boat. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Thanks, Walt.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Idiot. With your racist ass. Anding Semite.

SPEAKER_00

Alright. Anyway. Wow. Wow, that turned. But anyway, back to Transformers. Yeah. Um, so I the title is Pop Culture Cars as Transformers. And so, you know, we grew up with a lot of shows that, you know, say like Dukes of Hazards and Knight Rider and you know, Ghostbusters and stuff like that. So I my my thought was like, okay, what other cars would, you know, we could go with this, right?

SPEAKER_01

Be a be a transformer.

SPEAKER_00

Be a transformer, right? The Batmobile. The Batmobile. Exactly. Prime example. Yeah. Uh the there's I just saw I saw down here the the T T Mnt Party.

SPEAKER_01

What about Mach 5? Speed Racer?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I didn't, I don't know if I think over there. So I did narrow this one down so it didn't become too long of a segment though. So uh the core hero team, though, is we have Kit, which whose name would be Nightbite. I'm afraid I can't do that, Michael. Basically. Um, now the kit is the leader, or Nightbite, sorry, is the leader because you know it's a calm and it's an AI strategist, right? Oh god. The only time AI was ever good, right? Was Night Rider. Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_01

It was more computer than it was AI.

SPEAKER_00

But it was supposed to be artificial, it was supposed to be artificial intelligence. You know, you can't spell America without I.

SPEAKER_01

Or without AI.

SPEAKER_00

What was it? Team America. You can't spell Team America without I. Yes, you can. Or it was something like that. Um so uh it's a probability expert, because you know, they always like to calculate stuff, right? Yep. Never tell me the odds. Yep. Wrong reference, but you know, whatever. Whatever. Uh, and then you have uh it would also be the team brain slash reluctant leader. Because it's the smart one, right? Yep. So the hook, though, is it's constantly judging everyone's reckless decisions. See that? Yeah, because I mean how often did it yell at Michael? All the time. Yeah, exactly. So we also have Ecto 1, would which would be its its transformer name would be Spectre Drive. I like that. Yeah, I I'm like, okay, some of these names are pretty good. Come on. I even liked Nightbite. So it is the Ecto 1 is uh or Spectrebrite drive, sorry, is the gadget chaos energy, right? Because I mean, you know, Ghostbuster mobile, right? Yep, it's got all the gadgets. It's got weird science specialists, so now we're hitting the smart leader, you're getting the science demographic, right? And then you it also causes half the problems accidentally.

SPEAKER_01

Because it's the space space gusters, the ghost ghostbusters.

SPEAKER_00

Spectre drive. Yeah. Alright. Next one, and this one is actually, I think, would be hilarious to see. It's the TMNT party wagon, otherwise known as Shell Shock.

SPEAKER_01

I like that. That's a good that's a good uh uh that's a good name for trim.

SPEAKER_00

It's loud, aggressive, and fun.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Alright? It's a heavy hitter and morale booster. It's also the chaos tank. Of course. Because I mean, just shooting out the freaking well, it was pizzas, but yeah. Oh my god. In one version, I think it was pizzas, in the other version it was the freaking manhole covers. Pizza tank? Oh, let's go. Oh, yeah. Well, even the blimp. Which it was this giant ass blimp that held two of them. Why not? Yeah, makes sense. All right. We also have the mystery machine. Oh, great vehicle. Mystic Cruiser is its transformer name. Okay, okay. Let's see. Then one could we could we could, you know, work that one, right? Yeah, we can brainstorm on that one. Yeah, workshop. That's what I was trying to think of. Now, I do like it's the investigator role. Yeah. So, you know what? Fair point. It'll scope the scene. Yeah. It's a trap builder. Yep. It's a trap. Booby traps. Yeah. You said trap.

SPEAKER_02

Booby.

SPEAKER_00

Uh it's nervous but clutch.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I saw something recently, and I think I was gonna, I think I had saved it to try and turn it into a segment. It was talking about how why it was something about Thelma always trying to give them the Scooby snacks, and why it was literally like 20 minutes after they took the Scooby Snacks. They were all high all the time. They were except for who never ate the Scooby Snacks. Thelma. Uh-huh. Yeah. So it's literally everybody just seeing quote unquote ghost.

SPEAKER_01

Like zooming Scoob. I can't even see. That's good.

SPEAKER_00

That's good. But I I I'll have to find it and show it to you. Because it was, it was really, it's like, it's like again, a lot of those segments or you know, articles that I come across is just it's fun, kind of like a lot of what I do, we do for the podcast. It's like I just take a kind of an idea and just run with it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Right? And just make it kind of absurd.

SPEAKER_01

What about what about the blues mobile? Oh, I didn't think about that. What about Jeff Lebowski's? What about the dude's car? Do what those would be good.

SPEAKER_00

Um, I do have there's gonna be a couple other on here. You know, there's gonna be a couple on here that you're like, okay, yeah. Uh so now we do have another one that's a part of the hero group, right? So it's Batmobile. So Batmobile, which is Nightforge.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. I like that.

SPEAKER_00

I like that name. Right? So it's the Silent Muscle. Yep. Now, sidebar. Which Batmobile?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, it's gotta be the animated series.

SPEAKER_00

You think so?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Okay. It's either that or the or or Batman. It's gotta be the Michael Keaton Batman.

SPEAKER_00

You think so? Yeah. Because I mean, that's kind of where I was thinking is the original Batman.

SPEAKER_01

It's not gonna be nine Batman. It's not gonna be the uh, you know, the the Bat truck thing, whatever, and uh But I mean you I could almost see like you know, trying to make an argument for No, it's gotta look sleek and cool.

SPEAKER_00

Uh not Christopher Nolan's version. Yeah, no, no. You think yeah, I I mean I agree with the idea of almost like a ninja, right? You want it to be ninja what?

SPEAKER_01

No, it's gotta be it's gotta be the OG TV show. Oh, Adam West? Yes. Because it has like it has color, it has red. And it has the little light on it though, too. Yeah, and like I think I'm pretty sure that the like the the bat face could like come like into the face of the of the transformation.

SPEAKER_00

I remember seeing someone recently originally Batman was red. Oh, that's weird. It is weird. Yeah. Alright. And so anyway, back on uh Nightforge. Uh we got uh the silent muscle. It's the uh tactical field commander and uh says very little wins fights anyway.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, of course not. Of course, it's it's Nightforge. It's Batmobile Man.

SPEAKER_00

Nightforge.

SPEAKER_01

Nightforge.

SPEAKER_00

Batmobile man car Batmobile Car Man. Alright. So we have some bench players.

SPEAKER_01

I did think of these two. So you really did.

SPEAKER_00

You want to go over them then?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Alright. I mean, obviously, the first one is gonna be the DeLorean from uh Back to the Future.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_01

I thought of that one. Uh what's its name? Chrono Shift? That's that's pretty good. Uh you know what? I think that's on that's on the nose, but it works, right? And then I I was thinking of Herbie. Oh yeah? I did think of Herbie. Herbie the love machine, right? Isn't that what it uh well it's a love bug. A love bug. It's a bug, right? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Uh what's it? Do you see what its name is? Heart drive. Heart drive. Yeah, it's kind of meh. That one it could be the heart of a like a mecca thing, you know?

SPEAKER_00

But Ellie, and I I I struggled with Herbie just because being a love bug, because one of the iterations of Bumblebee was a bug, right? That's fair. Was a Volkswagen. Alright. So now we gotta start getting into the villains. You can't have a good side without a bad side, right? That's right.

SPEAKER_01

So oh, that's such a good one.

SPEAKER_00

All right, you I'll let you go over it then.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, Christine. Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_00

That's a good one.

SPEAKER_01

What's his name? Bloodline. That's great. It's kind of on it. It's there, right? Like, absolutely, Christine is uh is an uh oh, it's it's the Autobots and the uh Decepticons. Christine is a detec a Decepticon. Yeah. For sure.

SPEAKER_00

Alright. So with Christine, it's possess she, because it's a girl, right? Because all clos all cars are girls. Yep. Somehow. Oh yeah, because my my truck, I was I called her Black Betty. Bamblam. Right, yeah, exactly. And then uh my Jeep, I named her Connie. It's it's a Rubicon.

SPEAKER_01

And Jin looked at me like, are you serious? Yeah. My car is just called uh my Kia Soul. I've got that car out there. You see it? It's pretty cool.

SPEAKER_00

It's that's my soul.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. It's gray. Gray computer? It's gray and full of nothing. There's nothing in my car.

SPEAKER_00

Besides your sweet freaking headrest covers. Go, Bears. Ah, Bears. Alright. So, Christine is possessive and a creepy manipulator.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Also, psychological threat.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

She will play mind games with you, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Alright. So let me go ahead and throw out a bunch of these other ones. Uh oh, yeah, I gotta cover the big bad. Sorry. Um, because she's not even a leader, right? I said like, because they gave me a list, and I'm like, hey, we need a big bad for this, right? A big bad. Yeah, we need we need the Megatron for this. You know, you know, what was it? Uh Knight Rider or Kit. Uh Nightbite needed a counterpart evil side, right? Uh, so we got the Mad Max Interceptor or Road Reaper.

SPEAKER_01

I like that.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh. So high speed hunter and pure intimidation.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then you also have this one I'm not overly familiar with. I don't know this one. But the dual truck from the movie Duel. Um, I I kind of looked this up, but I'd forgotten now because it was again, this was several weeks ago now. Um, but it's called Grim Hall. It's a silent, unstoppable tank uh and just keeps coming. Whoa.

SPEAKER_01

Um, phrasing? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I can't stop.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Alright. So now we gotta get into the big bad, right? So it's gonna be from Overdrive. Maximum Overdrive, right? That's just gonna be its name, Overdrive. So it's machine, uprising leader, it controls other vehicles, it's got a massive presence and doesn't hate humans. It's har harder to find the bad side of the vehicle. Excuse me, the vehicles, just because so many shows and movies and stuff don't make like evil vehicles. Evil vehicles. Evil vehicles, right? Um the Jeepers Creeper movie, I think, would have been a possibly a good one.

SPEAKER_01

There's an episode of uh Futurama where uh Bender becomes a ware car and he tries to kill Fry.

SPEAKER_00

Vaguely remember this, yeah. It's a really good episode. Yeah. I mean, not like Robert.

SPEAKER_01

Stam, Stam, Stam!

SPEAKER_00

Wait, what? Wasn't that his name? Robert or Roberto or something? Roberto. Roberto.

unknown

Stam!

SPEAKER_00

Alright.

SPEAKER_01

Robert.

SPEAKER_00

So uh also with overdrive, it doesn't hate humans, just thinks they're obsolete. Alright. There's more to this. So we have some let's call it, you know, riffing a little bit, right? So, does the Batmobile respect Kit as a leader?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, because Bat Batman respects authority. And I think once you have a defined leader, yeah, he has to respect the leader.

SPEAKER_00

But I I think maybe that question came up due to if you look at the Justice League, right? Who's who's in charge? Who's in charge?

SPEAKER_01

Is there Hammer Superman?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. I mean, I you know what scene popped up in my head? The scene from uh what was it, the third Guardians movie? It's like we definitely know who's in charge here. There will be no knife of anybody between Thor and Star Lord.

SPEAKER_01

So good.

SPEAKER_00

Alright. Here we go. Who screws up missions the most? Hmm. Herbie. You think Herbie? No, of course. Alright. This one's a good one, I think. Well, actually, in that line, is Herbie secretly the MVP? No. I don't think so either. No. Uh it's it's definitely not a fan favorite, I feel like. No. Um. But here is an interesting take. Which hero almost turns villain?

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. Good one.

SPEAKER_00

Mm-hmm. Do I need to go back up to the list? Or maybe here. Uh, I think I had some. There was a couple others that I kind of got as like little side notes. So we have well, you know, let you think about that, but I'll discuss these other ones. It was the Wagon Queen family truckster from Vacation.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh. As a potential transformer, right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. It's obviously my uh my boss Brian has uh one of those old wagons, and that's what the the license plate says is truckster. I think that's what Chicago Bears hat in the dash.

SPEAKER_00

Nice. Well, I mean, obviously that's I feel like that would probably be the one that's kind of carrying the everything, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Um there's some other uh I must have deleted them off here. Yeah, I edited that uh created that one in February, uh February 21st. So it's over a month old now? I'm sure there's a lot in there. Yeah. So I've been trying to, you know, whittle some of these segments that I've created down so we don't get too extra long on these. So again, do we think that any of these do you think maybe Spectre Drive becomes like possessed or something?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, absolutely, because there's ghosts involved.

SPEAKER_00

That's why I said possessed. Yeah. Right? Because I don't know, I mean I don't I don't think Shell Shock, you know, becomes you know, goes evil because it's just too karma kind of driven, I feel like. Yeah. Right? Uh the Mystery Machine, I I I don't see it there. Batmobile, I don't see Chrono Shift, maybe. Just because you know, the DeLorean, because of, you know, there's that it's referred to as a time wild card, because maybe it like has little blips, and for some reason, maybe you know, kind of going off of uh let's do Umbrella Academy, where he blipped too far forward, where all of a sudden he they're in the middle of the apocalypse, and but then they kind of blip back, yeah, and then all of a sudden, because they see something and they kind of start turning evil.

SPEAKER_01

I could see that. Yeah, but I would still see you know, mystery sheep, there's you know, there's ghosts and stuff, you know.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, allegedly. Allegedly. I mean, come to find out we're all the monsters. Yeah, humans are the monsters.

SPEAKER_01

If we weren't for those medling kids.

SPEAKER_00

Alright. I think, you know, some solid topics there.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Something that makes people think, right? Yeah. I'd be curious about uh if anybody responds to anything. I don't think we have any recent uh fan mail. We do not. Um, let me see if I got let me go over here. We might have some new comments from Spotify. Uh no. That is not new. Cause uh maybe it is. Uh, she's posted a couple different things. Uh, apparently all the way back uh two months ago at this point. Um no, she uh she she claims to be the reason why the bears lost. Oh yeah. Just to prove a point, I said this will prove my uh if I'm a good if she's good luck. Because she had to watch it in the fourth quarter, right?

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Uh and then she also posted uh uh MTV's Dead and We Did This To Ourselves episode. Um, and it was uh she says uh Toxicity is still her favorite album, but I can imagine why my dad was upset when I was listening to it at eight years old.

SPEAKER_01

That's fair.

SPEAKER_00

Uh that an American idiot album from Green Day. Fair. I mean, I was already in of drinking age by the time those came out, right? So all right. Uh she followed it up with I'm sorry, Connor. I did not watch the last part of the game. But my face when I saw uh that uh that it went to overtime and lost by three, I felt so bad. But no one believed me all season. Told you. I believe you. Yeah. I mean, we love Miranda, she's one of our paid supporters. Yep. Which, with that being said, we always have to give shout outs. You know, we always love to give shout-outs to our paid subscribers. Uh, Miranda, obviously, being one of them, as I just said. Uh, Jen is one. Uh, obviously, Chad is our longest uh running supporter. Uh, we did release the you started doing the chaos index. Yep. Uh, so we will have to try and figure out something to release that because again, the idea is trying to release chaos index weekly, starting off and possibly doing poor decisions every other week. I may try to do short little blurps of a poor decision, you know, maybe on my own without Connor here, uh, just to that way we can kind of keep weekly stuff going on that. But it'll be short little you know, blurps, you know, not full-on segments, you know, maybe trying to have start having some guests on. I know Jen's been chomping at the bit. Uh she wants to really get on the episode too. Oh, yeah. Uh, you know, keep it, you know, short little call it poor decision shots. There we go. If you will. Uh, but you know, again, trying to start growing the uh sports podcast, the chaos index, if you will. Uh, the first episode uh was released. It it's the exact same thing. The open it's out there. Uh, we encourage you guys to go check out the chaos index as well. Uh, especially if you're into the sports stuff. Um, we still have little side tangents, we will have side tangents. The last episode of Four Decisions is the exact same thing as the first episode. I did change all the tide the title and everything for it, though. Uh, but yeah, uh, you know, looking forward to diving into that more. And again, couldn't do it without the help of our paid subscribers. So if you want to get more content from us, please go pay for this the subscription now. Uh, I will say I they've changed some stuff, so I was able to instead of having like uh membership exclusive stuff, I can now release. Uh, I have it set to where I can release every episode early to paid subscribers, so it'll come out approximately, I think, two days early, uh, is what I have it set out now. Um, as long as I remember to check it every time. Uh instead of hey, hey, we have subscriber-specific episodes. I think the previous episodes that were subscriber specific are still just subscriber-specific episodes. But moving forward, you know, the idea will be hey, we release the episode, and then two days later it goes public right to everybody else. So listeners, uh, like Chad and Miranda and you know, uh, Matt, Ellie, Jen, is that all five? Like I listen to me.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, I think that's it.

SPEAKER_00

All right, because we have five right now, and they've been great supporters. They get early access to the episodes. So, again, if you want early access, go throw us, you know, do it. Go subscribe to us. Um, I think I do have a separate subscriber-based uh thing for the chaos index. I think I'm uh that one's I got set a little bit cheaper, uh, so that way we can try and get more subscribers potentially on that side as well. It's not a crossing kind of thing, yeah. Where if you're a subscriber to the chaos index, you don't get early access to poor decisions episodes, or vice versa. So, anyway, with that being said, uh, we'll go ahead and start wrapping things up. We appreciate y'all. This uh, you know, we just try and bring that bar banter that we you know we always like to create when we were at the brewery or when I Was you still working at the brewery? You still do? For now. For now, yeah. All right. Fair enough. And uh, but you know, we try to create that bar banter and just giving you that little bit of a break from the chaos that is this world. Thanks. All right. With that note, though, uh, we do appreciate everybody, and we will talk to you guys next time.

SPEAKER_02

Later, shut it down.
