This episode marks a bit of a new chapter.

While Conor takes a hiatus to focus on life, Pour Deshishuns keeps the spark alive — and who better to kick things off than someone who’s been one of the biggest supporters of the show from the beginning… Jen.

Bryan and Jen crack open Boulevard Brewing – Tiger’s Blood Quirk, Abomination Brewing – Sangria Harvester, and Tin Mill Brewing – Midnight Whistle and dive into their recent staycation, also known as Nerd Fest at Kansas City’s Planet Comicon.

From meeting Twilight actors (with mixed reviews), to running into Tech N9ne, the lead singer of Slipknot, and even a familiar face from La Bamba, the weekend was anything but relaxing.

They wrap things up with Opening Day at the Royals game — a perfect day, a win for KC, and the realization that maybe one more day off would’ve been a good idea before heading back to reality.

Same chaos. New chapter. Still Pour Deshishuns.

Alright, everybody, we're gonna get back into it. Uh, little change of pace here, if you will. Uh, this is Poor Decisions. I am Brian, and as uh you might be able to tell, uh nobody else has uh responded quite yet. Uh with that being said, uh just you know little scheduling update. Connor is going to be taking a little bit of a hiatus, hiatus, if you will. I almost said hiatus. Uh I'm not sure what a hiatus would be. But uh anyway, uh, we're gonna you know keep on trying to truck along, uh, you know, keep things going in his absence, if you will. Uh he's not, you know, leaving the podcast uh as it would be. And you know, he just needs a little bit of hiatus. He's got some other stuff he's gonna try and focus on. Uh, you know, scheduling has obviously become, uh, as we've discussed on the podcast, has been become a little bit of a struggle. You know, life has gotten really crazy for both of us. Uh, so sometimes trying to coordinate with each other, uh it's been a struggle. I mean, even uh, you know, just trying to get him, you know, call him, you know, and at the nighttime. Uh, you know, he's, you know, again, being working, and then, you know, he go home and he's got his stuff he's got to take care of. And it's just he he's uh you know, just needing a little bit of a break. So he's gonna take some time away from the podcast. Uh, you know, he's always welcome back. Not kicking him off, uh, for sure. Uh, you know, I treat him just like he's my actual brother, uh, you know, just in a different aspect. And uh, so you know, love you, Connor. Uh, hope uh things go well for you, and we get you, you know, things, you know, you give you a good break, and uh we get you back on on here on the podcast very shortly. Uh in the meantime, though, we are going to be, or I guess I will be going to be, uh, you know, just starting to bring some other guests along. Uh and you know, as Connor, if Connor wants to jump in at any time, he, you know, we'll coordinate that and uh we'll have him on. That way we can continue with the traditional poor decisions, uh shenanigans, if you will. Uh but again, uh we're just gonna keep chucking along. I feel like I kind of keep just repeating myself. Uh it's a little bit different. I'm not used to kind of doing things solo at the time being. Uh, but with that being said, uh I will be you know bringing somebody else on. And uh the so you know guest, if you will. I know people have been uh chomping at the bit uh to be guest as well. Um I know we've only really had a couple guests on, uh, that being Nigel, uh Nick, uh you know, our they want to try and call us a podcast addies, even though I did podcasting before they were doing podcasting and then just got out of it. So I mean like I'll give them podcasts, Uncle. Uh, I know we've had no one on, you know, when Connor and I uh previously worked, uh, or when I previously worked at Transparent. And uh so we've had kind of had a couple guests on, uh, but we're gonna start venturing out and get some other guests on, uh, see what type of other shenanigans I can bring uh to the podcast. Uh so you know, we might have a little bit of uh change in how things are running. Um, you know, I'm still absolutely planning on using my assistant. Uh it'll just be ran a little bit differently. Uh but again, with that being said, uh, we're gonna go ahead and move on, and uh we're gonna go ahead and bring on our first guest, and uh that's going to be uh my girlfriend Jen. So uh Jen, I hope uh you know, glad to have you on.

SPEAKER_00

Hi.

SPEAKER_02

Alright, so yes, this is my girlfriend, everybody. Jen, I know we've talked about her a lot on the podcast, Connor and I, uh, including uh Connor's wife, Gina, uh, which we hope, you know, whenever we get Connor back on, we can get Gina on as well. Uh, but yeah, Jen and I, we've been going out for almost two years now.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Yeah, long years.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Feels long, right?

SPEAKER_00

It does. It feels like it's been forever, but then it feels so short.

SPEAKER_02

It really does. And sometimes it only seems like it's been a year. And uh, I don't know if you want to dive into you know all of that, but honestly, what we should probably do first is uh How about a beer? So let's uh open that up. And we'll pour if you want me to pour them, I can pour them for us. Uh if you want to start describing or going into uh, you know, I guess what made you choose me.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

I don't make sure you talk into the microphone for me.

SPEAKER_00

Are you sure we want to talk about this?

SPEAKER_02

Nope.

SPEAKER_00

Nah, you're an amazing guy, but you don't have to stroke my ego.

SPEAKER_02

I don't have problems with my ego being stroked.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. It happened with a message on Facebook, right? Uh-huh. And I ended up telling you that I had a crush on you. And then next thing I knew, we were going on our first date. And now it's almost two years later.

SPEAKER_02

And we've only had a few nights that we haven't even been together since that first night.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no. Yeah. We I I remember going on vacation to Myrtle Beach. Yep. And I literally would wake up in the morning, FaceTime him, probably FaceTime him in the middle of the day, and another time at night.

SPEAKER_02

Sometimes when I was very busy too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yes. Hey.

SPEAKER_02

Alright. So uh the beer that we were getting into, or I guess seltzer in this instance. Sorry, you're babe, uh, is gonna be uh it's a cork from Boulevard. Uh so actually we'll get into that. Uh uh, and that's one of the reasons why I wanted to have you on here too, babe, is to basically get into all the shenanigans that we did this past uh weekend. The Nerdfest, yes, otherwise known as Planet Comic Con in Kansas City area. Uh, but yes, uh part of that is I really wanted to go to Boulevard because it's nearby. Uh, and they had a variety pack that I hadn't seen at any of the other stores, and it was uh the hard seltters. You've had a couple of them. I've had a couple of them. Yeah, you've enjoyed some of them, some of them have been kind of hit or miss. Yeah, this one's called Tiger's Blood, though.

SPEAKER_00

This one I'm excited about. This whole pack, actually.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Uh the only thing I'm not excited about on this one is the coconut aspect.

SPEAKER_00

Oh shit, I forgot about that. No, it's fine.

SPEAKER_02

Because I've had so uh Boulevard has had um some uh they did a collab with Tech Nine, and it was called Boulou.

SPEAKER_00

Who I also got to meet this weekend.

SPEAKER_02

We will get into that. Uh, but uh it was based off of his uh caribou kind of drink that he sings about, uh, and it's pineapple and rum uh and coconut. Uh and I'm not a big fan of coconut. I don't know if I've really talked about that on the podcast before, but I I really do not care for coconut. Uh I am, you know, not an almond joy person.

SPEAKER_00

Uh also it doesn't help your son is allergic to it, so but like I'd never liked it even before then.

SPEAKER_02

Uh and he gets that from his mother uh because she's allergic to coconut as well. And but yeah, so they had the bulu, which was a pineapple coconut drink, and I enjoyed it. A lot of people didn't really care for it. I didn't mind at all. I actually thought it was kind of good. I I bought it multiple times and enjoyed it. But anyway, um it's only a four percent. So I mean that's kind of the nice thing about uh the hard seltzers from uh Boulevard as well. Uh and only 90 calories. So uh let's uh get into this over here a bit.

SPEAKER_00

Bad I don't count calories.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, no, I just started.

SPEAKER_00

Alright.

SPEAKER_02

So I mean, I know you're trying to smell it, do what Connor and I do. Uh with with it being a seltzer, there's not a really a lot to really dive into, but you know, I force of habit.

SPEAKER_00

It's got a good smell to it.

SPEAKER_02

No, it's not bad at all.

SPEAKER_00

Definitely not what I expected at all. Nope.

SPEAKER_02

No, luckily that pine that coconut is not strong on it.

SPEAKER_00

Actually, that's what I taste after the drink, the lingering. Yeah, the aftertaste? Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I can see that a little bit. Uh but luckily for me, that initial, I'm getting some more of the fruitier stuff on the initial flavor. Yeah. Uh, but no, that's actually not bad at all. Uh, I think Quirk uh or Boulevard, you know, kind of missed on the early uh versions of the seltzers, but I think they've been able to dial it in in the last uh year or so, and uh have been a lot more popular because even when we went to the game on Monday uh for Home Bomber, I had bought that rocket bomb pop one or whatever. And I enjoyed it. You didn't like it, I enjoyed it, and it was 8%. So uh I was all about it. Well yeah. Uh because you know, save me money inside the game. Uh but anyway, so uh as I said earlier too, you know, we'll be channel kind of changing a little bit of the formatting as far as you know what's discussed and whatnot. Uh so you want to say hi, Lily?

SPEAKER_00

Well, she's not gonna say hi. And by the way, all the animals are down here with us because I'm down.

SPEAKER_02

Because you have a sh you have shadows. I do. Um but yeah, we did we went to Planet Comic-Con this past weekend, uh otherwise known as uh or as uh I we so affectionately called it Nerdfest. And uh so yeah, uh that was your first time being at this one.

SPEAKER_00

It was.

SPEAKER_02

And uh what'd you think, babe?

SPEAKER_00

I had an amazing time, and I fangirled so hard on all the Twilight people there that I got to meet. It was amazing. I felt like a little kid, but it was great. I actually had a really good time. It's not exactly what I thought it was gonna be.

SPEAKER_02

Did you think it was just gonna smell like BO the entire time?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

There was shirts. There was a lot of them.

SPEAKER_00

There was a lot of a lot of stuff. And women and kids, and yeah, I mean, I I will say they did have there were several people, especially the uh what was that one? The uh Five Nights at Freddy's, that guy's costume, that kid's costume was amazing.

SPEAKER_02

So there was a lot there was a couple of them out there, yeah. And I mean, those kids who shouldn't be into Five Nights at Freddy's uh really looked good and they get into that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Uh I mean, so many people, the cosplayers, they really get into it.

SPEAKER_00

People were like, take it very seriously.

SPEAKER_02

People questioned me uh when we were playing Cornhole. They're like, why didn't you dress up?

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, I don't have anything.

SPEAKER_02

Like, as wait, as as eccentric as I am. Now I have a couple things, but I do not have any cosplay specific stuff.

SPEAKER_00

While we were in line waiting to get in, I did say to you that you know, if we had a really cool costume that you and I could do together, I think I would actually do it. I would.

SPEAKER_02

But And I'm not saying I wouldn't.

SPEAKER_00

No, I know. But it would be fun. I I actually really enjoy my I had a really good time. It was not everything I thought it was gonna be, but it was really great. Yeah, it was really great.

SPEAKER_02

So I will say I did uh dive into another beer too. Uh, because I know Jen doesn't drink quite as much, uh, but this one uh I was curious about here. I'm gonna hand it off to Jen so she can try it because I actually think she'll enjoy this one. So this one's called uh Sangria Harvester. It is from uh Abomination Brewing Company, which is part of uh out of North Haven, which is part of that 12% uh beer project uh that I know Connor and I really enjoyed.

SPEAKER_00

It's actually really good. A little sour.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so it is technically a sour. Uh so it's a sour ale with Karakara, orange, cherry, and grape. And uh I really enjoy it. It's uh only coming in at 5.5%, too.

SPEAKER_00

So it's not bad.

SPEAKER_02

So I don't know if you know the kind of some of the keys to tasting a sour ale is you need to try it at least three times. The first time it's gonna be very sour, typically. The second time it kind of, you know, you you start getting kind of the some of the actual flavors, and then a third time is gonna be what you are typically tasting it as and what it is meant to be. Yeah, you told me that before, but but a lot of the listeners may not.

SPEAKER_00

I usually don't make it past the first.

SPEAKER_02

No, you do not. And that's one of those things, like you need to try it at least three times, even if it's little sips, that way you kind of get the idea of it's you know what it's supposed to be.

SPEAKER_00

No, it's really good, actually. Um, it's definitely not as sour as I'm used to you drinking. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I've given you some sour stuff, some tart stuff, if you will. Yeah. Um, I will say, to me, if I had to classify this, I would actually, instead of a sour, um, would probably classify it as more of a fruited ale or a fruited beer.

SPEAKER_00

I obviously think it's good. I'm on zip number five. Yeah, you are.

SPEAKER_02

Like, I think I just lost my beer. Would be the first time. Uh anyway, uh so uh so we did the whole weekend at Planet Comic-Con. Yes. Uh, which uh Friday it opened up at one, and we got there right at one. We had to stand in a long line, but that line once that line moved, it moved quick. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Friday was the best day because there was you could you obviously knew people were at work still. There was a lot of people that weren't there, and it was just you could walk through and enjoy everything without getting bumped into every five seconds. But it was I actually think Friday was my favorite day just because of the the calmness of everything. Yeah, it just got crazy after that, but yeah. I think we did awesome on our stay vacation. We call it our staycation. That was an expensive staycation. It was very, very expensive, but we still said afterwards, I said this to you, is that I think we could actually do another vacation to recoup from this vacation.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah, and that's one of those things I joked about is that uh there's a lot of people that you know they go so hard. This is why we don't let the pets up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Let's just say my dog made me spill my beer.

SPEAKER_02

Jen was about wearing her seltzer. And uh because she just about got headbutted because Lily has no boundaries.

SPEAKER_00

No, she's got issues.

SPEAKER_02

Uh she has attachment issues. Um or separation anxiety, if you want to call it that. So anyway, uh Yeah, Friday was a spectacular day, and it was starting things were starting to wrap up, and you're like, Can I go meet, you know, one try and meet one of the people? And I'm like, Yeah, sure, go ahead. You know. Funny story. I'll let you dive into that one then.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I was I was standing at where the Peter Facinelli, the father on Twilight. We're standing there, and this guy walked by and I'm like, hmm, looks familiar. Turns around and walks by again. I'm like, holy shit, that's you! And he looked at me and said, Yeah, that's me. And uh, I just was in awe at that moment. I think I probably had the biggest smile on my face. Cool as shit. Guy was so cool. Like, just stood there, talked to Brian and I for a few minutes, and gave me a hug, gave me a high five, and just whatever. And that was my first highlight.

SPEAKER_02

So, right before that, though, you were trying to you were looking at somebody else.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I met Ashley Green.

SPEAKER_02

Uh, well, you didn't meet her first, but we were on the other side, and you were looking. Oh, yes. Whoever was behind Peter Fetchinelle, I can't remember. You were just kind of looking.

SPEAKER_00

Keefer Sutherland.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah, you were looking for Kiefer Sutherland, yeah. And then we started walking back over towards Peter, and all of a sudden, here comes this other gentleman, and we both point at him like, hey, we know that guy.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, oh shit, I know you and he just smiled and started like kind of giggling. And I was like, Can I please have a picture with you? He's sweet as can be too. Came up, gave me a hug, took a picture with me. Oh, tech nine.

SPEAKER_02

It was tech nine, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

So I get excited like a child. Like, I get giggly and excited like a child.

SPEAKER_02

And and you questioned, like, why aren't you more excited? I'm like, I've met, like, I've met Tech Nine.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. You met several people, and I'm like giddy over here, and you're just like, uh, whatever. What's up?

SPEAKER_02

I so I guess I I I say this a lot, but in full disclosure, um, yes, I have met quite a few celebrities. Uh nobody like, you know, huge, huge celebrities or hung out with them. It's not like I'm friends with anybody. Uh, I've met, you know, a handful of athletes as well. Uh one of my actually kind of proudest moments, and I don't even really fully remember it because it was so long ago, uh, and I was probably like 10. Um, I actually have an autograph card, or my mother still has it. Um, it's Buck Buchanan. Now, those of you that may not have any idea who the hell Buck Buchanan is, he was a uh player for the Kansas City Chiefs. Um, but one of his biggest things, I mean, he's a Hall of Famer as well, but he was actually the first um black player to be drafted into the NFL. So uh, and I so I have an autograph card. And like that wasn't something like when I was 10 that I really kind of grasped that concept, but you know, having grown up and been around, you know, a big part of you know uh history that you know the Negro League Museum is in the Kansas City area, um, and having even met the president of the Negro League, you know, come having come to one of my scout meetings, like I, you know, and having met a lot of other athletes because for a while for several years, or for a few years, several years ago, I uh just did simply did blogging, which afforded me to get uh a media pass to the sporting games and the comments games. And so I went to a lot of games, met a lot of players, and one of the things that you learn as media, like you see a lot of people, like if you ever watch a lot of sports media people, sometimes they don't overly get animated. It's because they're not supposed to. Yeah, they're supposed to be very kind of even keeled, they're supposed to be unbiased. I feel like that's kind of gone away in the last uh handful of years now, where you do get people that kind of not necessarily homerisms, uh, except for one that I can think of right off, who's a Kansas City native, uh, who is Nick Wright, um, who I've met and I've actually played soccer with in a uh comments media game. And she keeps this so and I've talked with him and hung out with him briefly. But like, so I get around a lot of those people, and I just kind of go into that, okay. I gotta keep it even keeled, gotta play it cool. Yeah, you know. I get that. Uh, and that was one of those things like we discuss, it's like, or I I was discussing with somebody, one of the other workers there. It's like, oh yeah, like I was kind of thinking like who would be one of those celebrities that I would kind of absolutely go crazy for. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

We never decided who it was.

SPEAKER_02

For me, no, I never really did. I mean, I have a handful of uh actors, actresses, you know.

SPEAKER_00

So I got I gotta kind of tell you my favorite story about one of the things that happened this weekend. I also got to meet another one of the Twilight guys, Kellen Lutz. I had to look him up, I forgot his name. Go figure. Um I remembered. We got up there and he uh was sweet as can be, and Brian was standing there with me, and he's like, Who's this handsome guy? And I'm like, I have no fucking clue who you're talking about. I don't know anybody, what? And I just ran I just rolled with it as he's hugging me, and yes, Miranda, I had my hand on his chest, and it was fucking amazing.

unknown

You're welcome.

SPEAKER_00

Sorry, baby. I love you, but uh whatever. Dear God, rock abs. That was that was great.

SPEAKER_02

I've had abs before. I was probably, you know, eight, but I was gonna say what, 10?

SPEAKER_00

No, I'm just kidding.

SPEAKER_02

I love I was already getting fat by then.

SPEAKER_00

I love your fluffiness.

SPEAKER_02

I love my fluffiness too. It's a little too much fluff um right now. No use. I need to I need to de-fluff a little bit. We both do. Anyway, so yeah. Anyways, we went Friday. We we went Saturday. I'm kind of glad we didn't go as early as we could have. I am too. It was a very chaotic day. We did not enjoy Saturday.

SPEAKER_00

I think I almost hit maybe four or five people that I literally wanted to fight.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I was I mean, it was to the point where Brian was like, okay.

SPEAKER_02

I was about to drag you out.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we we we need to go.

SPEAKER_02

Like I And luckily it was getting ready to close by that time.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, and it's not that I didn't have a great time, but there were so many people and you couldn't move. Like you were literally when you're walking, you're literally touching someone else the whole time. It just was a lot. And then I don't know what happened to people, but nobody gives a shit anymore if they walk right into you. They don't care how they treat you.

SPEAKER_02

I bring a lot of it on I don't want to say the internet, but I'm sure you've heard the term keyboard warrior. Yeah, yeah. So I feel like that has in the last several years, it's working its way into how people actually act. Because people have gotten so used to being a keyboard warrior, saying and doing whatever they want on the internet, and then there's no repercussions. Nope. And when somebody does retaliate, everybody's quick to just, I'm gonna sue you. Oh dear God. And lawyers will jump at the chance to defend somebody even if they know they're a fucking idiot.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I agree. It's ridiculous. I don't know. I don't know what happened to these kids, but somebody needs to whoop all their asses. It it's these people are. Well, and that's the other thing.

SPEAKER_02

Like, you know, parents have become a lot more. When you and I grew up, it was a different era.

SPEAKER_00

You can't spank your kids anymore because God forbid they go tell a teacher and you're going to jail. Or child services coming knocking at your door to take your getaway.

SPEAKER_02

I still had plenty of times I whooped my kids' asses.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I did too. My boys got their asses whooped. Yeah, we didn't we don't play that game. Uh I and they are very respectful, good kids.

SPEAKER_02

Both both of my kids, they got snatched a handful of times. Oh, yeah. And like, we're going somewhere else.

SPEAKER_00

Dan carried Dante in by his head one day because he tried to light the base on fire. Which that was fun. I think we talked about that.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I I remember one time Kylan, like, we were at the state fair, and I snatched him by the ear and pretty much dragged him all the way back to the car. Yeah. And we were somewhere in the middle of the state fair.

SPEAKER_00

Are you sure that wasn't just last year?

SPEAKER_02

No, he was shorter than I was. Uh but yeah, I mean Do you know what he did?

SPEAKER_00

Do you remember?

SPEAKER_02

He was just being mouthy shithead and like being kind of like because we were with uh his uh grandfather, his his mother's father, and he just m got mouthed off, and I just had had it, so I snatched him by the ear and dragged his ass all the way out to the car. We sat there for about 10-15 minutes and then we went back in and then he was fine.

SPEAKER_00

And if you guys know Brian, he does not get mad. Like, it takes a lot for him to get mad. Um, a cat in cornhole bags will make him mad.

SPEAKER_02

And that was after the third time.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I don't know what happened there, but my cat decided that she liked cornhole bags. All of a sudden, just one out of nowhere, just ended up exploding on the floor.

SPEAKER_02

I still have the other three.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. But I got a new set now, so it's cool. Yeah. Same one. That was your set. I was my I was mad and it wasn't even my set. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, no, I I can agree with Brian on that one. I don't know what the hell happened to her and what the fuck her problem was, but uh she yeah. She pissed him off. I mean, she we watched on the cameras. She was walking up and down the stairs with that bag in her mouth.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and it just the longer I watched that, the longer it pissed me off. Oh yeah. Uh and, you know, speaking of, these chairs have been clawed to hell. You know, brand new chairs.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, they're they're about a year old now, but in her defense, which I'm not trying to take her side, but you kind of did leave the bags back out again. And again, but I'm not saying that she still should have done it or she shouldn't have, but you kind of left them out, and that was a good one.

SPEAKER_02

And I had left uh several other sets out too that she never touched, and then I even put those bags on a set that she had never touched.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know what it was with those. I don't know. I really don't know.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know either. Anyway, back to the back to the weekend at hand, the staycation, if you will.

SPEAKER_00

Got two ADHD things going here.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that's his poor decisions. Anyway, so we went Sunday as well. Uh you were able to round out the the Twilight.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, I got to meet the rest of the people. And I also met um Oh god. Hold on. What was it?

SPEAKER_02

From who? Where? What?

SPEAKER_00

Um my god. Hold on.

SPEAKER_02

I'll let you looked it up. But I uh look it up. They so they actually had Lou Diamond Phillips. Oh, Lou Diamond Phillips, that's right.

SPEAKER_00

That's it. And I walked up to him and said, I had the biggest crush on you when I was a kid. And he just looked at me and smiled, and I was like, Oh dear God, what the hell is wrong with me?

SPEAKER_02

It's like, and I just what was my comment?

SPEAKER_00

Everybody probably had a crush on him. He probably heard that about five million times today. Yeah. Well, the lady before me was crying. I mean, look, he's great and all, but he's not that great. I mean, he's third older now, too. He is. No, he he was very sweet, very, very sweet. Everybody that we met, save one wise, besides one, everybody was very, very sweet. They in and Kellen Lutz, uh, so they, if you guys haven't been there and know how it rolls, these celebrities charge 100 bucks just to get a picture, 60 bucks for an autograph. So every you can go meet them. Sometimes more, sometimes a lot more. Um oh, and I saw Priscilla Presley and man, that woman looks horrible. She's had way too much work done, anyways. Um, so Kellen was the sweetest, and actually ended up giving giving me a hug, and he took a he's like, You want a picture? And of course, my little giddiness, I was like, really? Okay, and uh he did it for free. He was doing it for everybody, though. He didn't charge anyone, and he even pulled Brian in. He did. You got two pictures with him, technically.

SPEAKER_02

So, and I will give him one of the things Do you remember one of the things I pointed out about his what he was doing?

SPEAKER_00

He was not behind the desk, everyone else was behind the desk sitting there. He never once sat down behind that desk. I can't say never.

SPEAKER_02

I I saw him go behind the desk a couple times.

SPEAKER_00

Very, if if he did, I I don't even remember if I actually saw him, but for the most part, when he had people up there, he was in front of the desk. He was out there with that person. I think taking pictures. Oh, damn dog. Hold on. Hey fucking dogs.

SPEAKER_02

I think they've both been in it now because that bowl was full.

SPEAKER_00

We weren't paying attention, they started sneaking the cat food.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But uh, no, he really was. He was the only one um out there actually, you know, not sitting down.

SPEAKER_02

And it makes me wonder, like Oh, that was the worst burp ever.

SPEAKER_00

It was so I don't even think it.

SPEAKER_02

You're not used to you don't burp a lot though. Don't force it, don't cry burp. No, I'm not going to. Okay. Um, but it was noticeable enough for me to point it out, but I don't really know. Like, I tend to pick up on a lot of mannerisms and you know behavior that people do. Like, it's something that I kind of pride myself in. And so like I noticed like like this dude, like, just has not been behind his table. And that's I think one of those things that made him much more personable.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I agree. I I am a fan for life after that. I I don't really, I'll be honest, I don't know what else he's done um in his career, but um I will be a fan for the rest of my life. I mean, he was just so kind, and again, even to Brian, even though you know, joking around, you know, I with what I said, whatnot, he was just so sweet. He he pulled Brian in, just like, come on, dude, let's go, let's go, and taking pictures. And it the thing that got me is that they literally were charging$100,$150 to get a picture with them, and he just did not care.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, sometimes, like, you know, you right time, right place. Yeah, and you know, it was very later in the whole thing, and yeah, he may just decide, you know what? Today is the fun day. Sometimes these people, Sunday's supposed to be the cheap day. Maybe he he he's one of those people that realizes it. So he's like, he's like, I'm not gonna try and nickel and dime all these people just to see me.

SPEAKER_00

No, he would he was great. Um Jasper Jackson Rathbone, Rathbone, yeah, I think that's how it is. Um, he was nice, but I will tell you, I was and I was gonna wait in a line for an hour and a half, and I was kind of pissed off about this later. But I got up there, and you know, you have to tell the person that's sitting with him, like, do you want a picture? Do you want an autograph? Um, you know, and I honestly was just like, I just kind of want to meet him, you know. I got to meet the rest of the crew, so I wanted to just say, Oh yeah, I got to meet him too. And the guy that's sitting beside him told him, you know, she's just a meet and greet. And he treated me completely different than he had treated the ones that were paying. And I get that. Look, I I get it. I understand you're not acting anymore. You don't really, whatever, whatever it is, I don't give a shit. But the fact that I felt uncomfortable made me look at him in a different light.

SPEAKER_02

And so that brings me to something that I was actually about to say. It's you know, like one of the statements that a lot of people say is like, you know, never meet your heroes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Well, I wouldn't have said he's my hero. Well, but it's the idea of never meeting you know, I get it.

SPEAKER_02

A celebrity that you look up to or you know, enjoy or whatever. Because I mean, I've heard some horror stories about you know, celebrities and people meeting him think like, oh yeah, this person's gonna be cool. And like, that dude was a dick.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, I forgot. Corey Taylor.

SPEAKER_02

Uh yeah, and you got to meet Corey Taylor as well.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, he was amazing. He was so sweet too.

SPEAKER_02

And your comment cracks me up though.

SPEAKER_00

What?

SPEAKER_02

First thing you said. He's so tiny. Hell there it is.

SPEAKER_00

He's so tiny. I I don't know, I guess you know, you see him on stage and you see these, see him on TV. You don't realize it's a good one. Well, sometimes it's a larger-than-life mentality though, too. It is, but no, he was. I actually uh video or called my son because they're huge, huge, huge fans of uh Stone Tower and uh help me out here, babe. Um oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

Uh Slipknot. Sorry, I was trying to think of the I thought you said Slipknot, and I'm like, no, like you said Stone Sour.

SPEAKER_00

Well, he does, yeah. So, anyways, my kids used to listen to him a lot. Um, we listened to them a lot while they were growing up, and I told him that again, my little fangirl giddy moment. I'm like, my my voice were raised on your music, and I just felt like an idiot for saying that afterwards.

SPEAKER_02

But I just let my boys that were of influencing age listen to Slipknot.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, they love him. Um, so yeah, I don't know. It was pretty cool. He was very, very sweet too, though.

SPEAKER_02

No, it was one of the ones you got to meet on Friday night as well.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, that was Friday night. I did get to meet it.

SPEAKER_02

So I think that was who it was. We met Cory Taylor, then we walked around the side, saw Tech Nine, and then you started walking around the other side, and Peter Faccionelli had walked away from his booth, and and then he was literally walking back up.

SPEAKER_00

And I was like, holy shit!

SPEAKER_02

Because like you, you and another friend uh were went to go do something else real quick. Uh and then like I was just hanging out at some tables over near the celebrity area, and yeah, and then you said something, and I'm like, Oh yeah, Keith or Sutherland just walked by. Just nonchalantly. I'm just like, oh yeah, he walked by.

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, Did you say anything? Nothing, you didn't take a picture of him walking by. Nope. Oh, hey, look, there it goes.

SPEAKER_02

No, because you know that's something for me. Uh again, I think that's one of those reasons why what I was trying to get at a little bit ago is why I stay very even keeled on a lot of stuff. I mean, that's just kind of the way I am in life.

SPEAKER_00

But I was gonna say, you're like that anyways. You're a very, very calm, relaxed person.

SPEAKER_02

If I get mad, something bad has happened. Yeah. I mean, we've made that joke around my brother, you know, you know, with I've been playing a lot of cornhole with my brother, and a lot of people that have learned who my brother is, you know, know that he tend he can be an asshole. And so the joke's been made. It's like, yeah, if I become an asshole, it's because you fucked up.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Um, but anyway. Brian does not get mad. Like, it takes a lot. He's one of the sweetest, calmest people I've ever met. Until you piss me off.

SPEAKER_02

Um, I mean, and one of the I think that kind of stems to the you know the idea of don't meet your heroes. I go into meeting everybody. Yeah, basically expect not having high expectations.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that way.

SPEAKER_02

That way, if that person is a dark incredible douchebag, you're not disappointed.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not disappointed.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, I'm like, fuck that guy, I'm never doing another thing. Because like I will say, somebody that just came to mind, somebody that I really enjoyed growing up, um, and then still enjoy some of their stuff, is John Linguizamo.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So, you know, he's been in the pest, and that's one of honestly, one of my top movies is the pest. Uh, you know, he was said the sloth in Ice Age, and he's but he's been in the John Wick films, and he's done a bunch of stuff. I cannot stand his political kind of not stance, but like, okay, have your opinion, that's fine. Have your beliefs, that's fine. Do not try to push anything onto me. So, like, as far as John Liguizamos, like he he's one of the few people, like, I don't go and unfollow a lot of people. Yeah, I actually went and unfollowed him just because I'm like, everything was just politics, and it's not something I agree with, but I didn't want to just like try and be one of these keyboard warriors and start braiding him on his thing because I'm like, yeah, there's always more I can learn, and I feel like that's it, that's the saying for everybody, like everybody can learn, so like he's just dead set in his ways, so I uh you know just decided, you know what, I'm gonna unfollow him because uh he's going to be one way, I don't agree with that way, and I use uh my mom and my stepdad as huge examples, they are complete opposites of each other as far as politics go.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they are.

SPEAKER_02

Um and I'm somewhere in the middle, and again, I think you know, that's kind of goes back to kind of the way I am as far as my life. I try to keep everything very even keeled, I try to be very open-minded, you know, I try not to be very uh biased towards anything. I mean, I've pissed you off a handful of times where I try to justify certain things, and you're just like, no, I need to be angry. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you are you're definitely I don't know how you do it sometimes. I I don't, but I think it's a great thing to have to be able to be like that.

SPEAKER_02

It pisses people off though. And I love you too, babe.

SPEAKER_00

It probably pisses off more than it. I get so irritated.

SPEAKER_02

I you get mad that I don't get mad.

SPEAKER_00

No, and no, the problem is, is like if I ask you, babe, do I look okay? Yeah, you look fine. And it's that, what? Like, just fine? I just look fine, like, and you're so nonchalant about it that it makes it sound like uh whatever.

SPEAKER_02

So what did I do on it was Saturday or Sunday? What did I do to fuck with you then?

SPEAKER_00

Oh, what? I'm forgetting.

SPEAKER_02

You came and you're like, how do I look?

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, you like shit. Yes, yes.

SPEAKER_02

You're like, all right, good.

SPEAKER_00

Thank God. It's about fucking time you say something, right? Okay, yeah, he did. And then you didn't change. I did not change, and I didn't complain. And I was like, okay, cool. I look good. I know this. Because I look like shit.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and so like Sunday we also went, and that's where you met the last couple of the Twilight People, and it was it was uh much calmer again. It was uh it was still crowded, not as uh crowded, or it was more crowded than Friday, but it was tolerable. Yeah, it was. It was um and uh remember we I mean we we stayed for a few hours. We didn't stay very long, no.

SPEAKER_00

No, we didn't, but I mean three days was enough.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Uh and I was able to uh uh connect with another art friend of mine and got you know a couple pieces from him and one that I plan on sharing that I'm gonna give to my mother.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they they there really was some incredible artists, things like that there. There was that's one of the reasons why I like going. Yeah, it it was actually really cool. I I enjoyed it, and you know, I I used to actually be really big into art myself. I haven't done a lot as I got older, but um, I did like that portion of it that a lot of people I love the toilet art. Yeah. Like I'm not shitting you, that was so cool.

SPEAKER_02

And we contemplated getting some. We just I don't think we could figure out what we wanted to get.

SPEAKER_00

I think we need a bigger house first or a different house.

SPEAKER_02

Like, we need to have a different layout, it's not uh two bathrooms.

SPEAKER_00

I love our house. I love our house, but it's just a it's uh it's older. It's old. You cannot run.

SPEAKER_02

And it's not modern. I think if it was if we could one of the things I wish I could do to this house is rewire the house.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god. If I have to fucking try to cook something again and everything shuts the hell off, I swear to God.

SPEAKER_02

Only when you're on the air fryer and the microwave at the same time.

SPEAKER_00

We did figure that part out. So if you try to okay, so here's the deal. If you start the air fryer first and then you try to put something in the microwave, it will it will shut off.

SPEAKER_02

It'll pop.

SPEAKER_00

It'll pop. If you start the microwave first and then you do the toaster oven, I don't think it happens.

SPEAKER_02

Because, well, I mean, I know it happened this last weekend because I was doing something in the air fryer.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, was it did you do the air fire?

SPEAKER_02

I was in the air fryer and then you threw something in the microwave.

SPEAKER_00

Well, yeah, because if you do the air oh wait, did I say that wrong? No, because yeah Well, anyways, okay, maybe it doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_02

What made it worse though was that uh we also had the coffee going.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. So oh my god, God forbid we'd do that too. Holy shit.

SPEAKER_02

Because it was it was, I think it was Saturday morning or Sunday morning, I can't remember. Yeah, uh, but anyway, um yeah, but that was Sunday, and then we went to Boulevard, hung out there for a little bit.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we had a really good time. Oh my god, their food. Yeah, holy shit, their food was fantastic.

SPEAKER_02

Some of these breweries have really good food. Now, I will preface this with I've had plenty of people uh in for example, a couple years ago, uh company I was working for, their main office was down in Springfield. So I had to go down to Springfield a handful of times, and uh I, you know, was working at the brewery, transparent at that time too. So whenever I could, like I went down there, I would try and check out a couple breweries. Yeah, and um, there was one that was getting ready to close down, and it was called Lost Signal. And literally everybody told me, like, oh, you need to go there and try the food. Like, what about the beer? Like, if I'm going to a brewery, like I want to go for the beer. And uh honestly, like uh I went for the beer and um You like the food? Didn't really care for it. I didn't try the food. I'm like, I'm not there for the food because that was one of the things. Like, I don't want to go somewhere and then be like, oh yeah, the food was great, and but I'll never be able to get to try it again because the place shut down.

SPEAKER_01

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_02

So like again, I wasn't trying to get my expectations up for certain stuff. Um, but yeah, like, because I really want to take you to Casey Beerco. Yeah. And I think you'd really like Casey Beerco because they are German specific stuff. They import their grains from Germany.

SPEAKER_00

And pause for a second for all of you that do not know, and everybody thinks I'm not this, but I am German and Irish. Um I know I don't look it, but yes. German and Irish, so yeah. You're not Latina. Pennsylvania Dutch. Pennsylvania Dutch.

SPEAKER_02

Freaky Dicky Dutch. Freaky Dicky Dutch. They don't speak to freaky deekey Dutch.

SPEAKER_00

Uh yeah, but um, yeah. So anyway, sorry, had to add that.

SPEAKER_02

Uh so um but yeah. I have actually broken into another beer, speaking of Dutch. Uh it's beer mock shkun. Um I don't know, but I'm I would usually hand this off to Connor uh and let him pronounce it because he can actually speak some uh German. Um, but it's uh Midnight Whistle Doppelbach from 10 Mill Brewing Company.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, she is just licking my leg.

SPEAKER_02

Which 10 Mill is in uh Herman, Missouri. Uh which Herman is actually a big wine country area in Missouri, but they do have a few breweries that are popping up now as well. Yeah, uh, and I know that's always a good place to ride the train down to and spend the weekend as well. I'm trying to see the ABV on this.

SPEAKER_00

Dear God, they're everywhere.

SPEAKER_02

Uh Zeke's the only good one.

SPEAKER_00

There's a cat on my left shoulder, there's a dog on my right shoulder, and Zeke Zeke's on the floor sleeping like a big boy.

SPEAKER_02

Uh but yeah. So I'm drinking that because I've handed off. I did again, I really liked that sangria harvester one. Uh, but uh Jin has now stolen that one completely.

SPEAKER_00

I did, and I've actually finished my quirk, and I am pretty much three quarter ways full on this. Yeah, you I normally don't like sour spin this one, it's really good.

SPEAKER_02

It is a good one.

SPEAKER_00

Um it doesn't help that I don't drink that much anymore. So I'm already feeling pretty great. Yeah, good. All right.

SPEAKER_02

Let's get crazy. Oh dear God. So, but uh so we went to Boulevard, you know, just hung out there for a little bit too. Yeah, it was still good. It was nice.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we had a good time. Uh and then um and I I that freaking pizza with the hot honey was holy shit.

SPEAKER_02

You were concerned about that hot honey.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'm not a spicy person. So I I wasn't you don't like spices.

SPEAKER_02

You're spicy.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I yeah. Okay, yeah, we can go there. But yes, but I do not like spicy food. I don't like anything that I don't know, spicy. Yeah. Not a big Mexican fan.

SPEAKER_02

Which which hurts me because I really like Mexican.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I know. I know. Um, sorry, babe. I mean, you're always welcome to go eat Mexican food.

SPEAKER_02

I know.

SPEAKER_00

There's once in a while I will crave a little bit.

SPEAKER_02

You enjoyed some of transparent stuff.

SPEAKER_00

I did. But I eat I do this thing where I eat so much of it when I like something that it gets like.

SPEAKER_02

Well, you were kind of stuck to eating a lot of the transparent stuff too.

SPEAKER_00

I kind of was. Yeah. So had to be there all the time, you know. Sorry. It's okay. No, but I uh invented the pineapple um queso. Queso. Yes. It is blended to actually was added to the menu, and it is fantastic if you haven't tried it. Make sure you go in there and try it.

SPEAKER_02

And if they if they don't know what you're talking about, it's on the menu.

SPEAKER_00

I'm pretty sure it's on the menu.

SPEAKER_02

Well, I mean, we haven't been in there in a couple months now.

SPEAKER_00

It has been, but they did have it on the menu. Um, I think almost every single person that tried it loved it.

SPEAKER_02

So you're welcome. I didn't overly care for it because again, I don't like I don't like mango salsa.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. No, it was it was really good.

SPEAKER_02

I can't say I don't like fruit in my salsa because tomatoes.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm very I like sweet everything tomatoes.

SPEAKER_02

I know, that's why you're with me.

SPEAKER_00

Anyway. Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah. Uh all right, that hurt. Anyway, that wasn't the end of our staycation, though, because then we had Monday. No, uh, we had a little bit of a I don't want to say uh we'll just say like a down note Monday morning. Like I had an aunt that passed away, and so we did the funeral for there, uh for her. Um, but then uh we were able to end that Monday on a very high note.

SPEAKER_00

Exhausted.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, that too. Um, but because I had actually won tickets from my work for uh the Royals home opener, uh, which is the first time I had been to uh a home opener. Well, I've only been twice, uh, but the last time I got to go was the year after they won the World Series. Um, and to me, the atmosphere was right up there with that same day.

SPEAKER_00

It was uh that was my first opening day game, and I had a blast. It was really fun. I loved it. It was it was pretty neat to see.

SPEAKER_02

It was a beautiful day.

SPEAKER_00

It oh my god, yeah, it couldn't have been any better. Like it we were really way up there, but um it there was a breeze and it wasn't too hot. It was warm, but it was I mean, we were in the shade, so it that really helped. But it would, I don't even I think if you weren't even in the shade, it was actually a it was a beautiful day. It was oh yeah, it was really nice. We had a good time.

SPEAKER_02

There was some warm spots if you were in the sun, but yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And if you like sweaty people sitting up right next to you, we it are it I mean.

SPEAKER_02

Open a day is usually a very packed house. I think they said 39,000 people, a little over 39,000. And I think well, I don't know what the seating capacity is now because they did uh stretch out or I guess bring in the outfield a little bit. Uh so they're hoping for a little bit more home runs being hit in that park. Yeah, and uh so I know it it its capacity is I think just a little over 40,000.

SPEAKER_00

It was packed.

SPEAKER_02

Uh but it was packed. So I mean there was a there was a few, a handful of open seats, but love my hat. Yep.

SPEAKER_00

I got a new hat.

SPEAKER_02

Got a new hat. I got myself a hat too. And uh, like I said, it was an expensive weekend.

SPEAKER_00

It it was, but if you think about it, if we would have gone somewhere else, we would have had to pay a hotel, lodging, yeah. On top of that, the extra food. We did get, I think we picked up some. That's I get oh, something's wrong with my dog. Uh, anyways, but I think that we still did pretty good. I mean, it wasn't absolutely horrible. It could have been a lot worse, but yeah, I still agree. Jesus, that's the dog. She is that close to me that she is on the microphone right now. Say hi.

SPEAKER_02

That is still Connor's microphone. Oh dear God.

SPEAKER_00

Just say it. Sorry, Connor.

SPEAKER_02

She's literally And now there's a fur ball looking over your shoulder, like, what the fuck?

SPEAKER_00

You have no idea. My animals are obsessed with me. And I when I say they are obsessed with me, I am not over-exaggerating on that. Not even the slightest. No.

SPEAKER_02

Um and you get so mad at Lily because I'm like, but she's a shadow.

SPEAKER_00

She literally does not know what to do.

SPEAKER_02

Peter Pan's shadow had more had more distancing.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. She is in my arms, in my face, with her nose on the microphone. It's looking pathetic. Yeah. And here comes the freaking cat. So the kitten also thinks that she's a dog. She cleans the dog. She sleeps in the dog beds. She has to eat dog food with the dogs every morning and evening when they eat.

SPEAKER_02

What are you doing for a ball?

SPEAKER_00

Let's know what's going on too. Gigi, what you doing, Gigi? Come here. Here she comes. Now we got two on the microphone. Anyways, um, we we had a great weekend though. I thought it was a lot of fun.

SPEAKER_02

It was something we needed because uh we've discussed, you know, the whole one of the things that we started trying to do when we first started dating was the whole 2-2-2 thing. Yeah. It was, you know, uh was every two weeks, do a date night. Yep. Every two months, have do a small weekend thing, and then every two years it's supposed to be like a vacation. Now we've ran into I don't want to say financial hard times, but we've ran into, you know, we've been struggling financially, you know, the work stuff and just you know, there's just other things that have happened that we've been struggling with.

SPEAKER_00

So you know normal life, you know, you yeah, things happen and um you know, situations happen, and but I am very, very happy to say I am ecstatic. I just started a new job a couple weeks ago.

SPEAKER_02

I think we may have mentioned that on the podcast one of the last few episodes.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I uh it's something that I've wanted to do for a very, very long time. Um, and I absolutely love it. I might regret saying that soon. I don't know, maybe, I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

But no, I'll just have to we'll have to keep things updated there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, things are things are great. I mean, but you know, everything got more expensive. And your pay doesn't go up. No, things just keep getting more expensive, and yeah, you still gotta live.

SPEAKER_02

And your pay doesn't go up high enough to to counteract right the inflation of the cost uh increases of other stuff.

SPEAKER_00

And I don't think we're too bad with like we'll get groceries, we'll make our food at home.

SPEAKER_02

We don't we there's other stuff that we could do better about, but yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I I think for the most part that we choose running to the grocery store to get food that we can make over going out to eat. Yeah, we can't. We haven't done that in a long time. We've got to do that.

SPEAKER_02

Not as much. Uh definitely. Yeah. I think we've gotten definitely better about that. We have.

SPEAKER_00

And it's just life. It's things are expensive. I mean, things change, you know. I mean, everything's freaking expensive now. I I don't even I don't know. I'm so over it. I I mean, even we've talked about this with houses. We looked at some houses in Olatha because we both work in that area now, so Yeah. I mean, but a house that you don't want to live in is this the only thing you can afford anymore.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I mean, I actually today I actually just seen there was something about trying to buy a house now that you basically have to be and it's all median stuff. Uh it's like you very much have to be making like$52 an hour to buy a house.

SPEAKER_00

I believe it. I believe so.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, do you know any single person that makes that much money?

SPEAKER_00

No. I mean, are there people fans? Yes. I'm just throwing that out there, you know. Footfinder. Wait, you want to try it? Feetfinder? I did hey, long story short, I did sell a picture once.

SPEAKER_02

One picture.

SPEAKER_00

One picture. I got five dollars for it, and I never got the money because you have to sell so much for it.

SPEAKER_02

And I know that from when I did, you know, streaming stuff and even uh, you know, doing YouTube videos. Yes, I did Foot Finder too.

SPEAKER_00

I found my foot. I knew it. I knew it. Only fans for feet.

SPEAKER_02

Only feet.

SPEAKER_00

Only feet. I don't know. Yeah, it's weird.

SPEAKER_02

Feet fans.

SPEAKER_00

I have a hard time believing that people actually get off on that shit. On someone's foot.

SPEAKER_02

And Johnny Deer had a whole career talking about that type of nonsense.

SPEAKER_00

I believe it.

SPEAKER_02

I just I don't I There's some weird fetishes out there.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I so I don't even know if I can talk about this one here. Um then don't! Maybe. I know everybody will appreciate it. Spoiler. So, uh, yeah, I worked with a girl a long time ago that actually would sell her panties.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, no, that's common.

SPEAKER_00

Um she was a a very large girl. She was a very sweet girl. No, no judgment, nothing like that, but it it just was very okay anyways.

SPEAKER_02

Now you see some some of the shit why I closed that door when Connor and I are doing stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I get it. Um, but it it was odd. I I I I don't want to go into details, but let's just say that um yeah. It was not something I wanted to hear about.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I yeah, I could have I could have day without hearing about that and the details on that.

SPEAKER_02

I mean, there's been people that sell bath water.

SPEAKER_00

That's well, you heard about the girl that was farting in jars.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, that too.

SPEAKER_00

Didn't she like almost die because she was making herself so much stuff that was so gassy that she almost killed herself?

SPEAKER_02

Because I remember listening to an interview that Johnny Deere did years and years ago, where literally it was talking about the selling of underwear, and there was price points or different stuff. Oh, yeah. To where, like, hey, this is something I just tried on. This is something that I wore all day. This is something that I ended up using the restroom in and while wearing. This is something I wore while having sex.

SPEAKER_00

No, that's that's just yeah.

SPEAKER_02

And prices change based off of what was done.

SPEAKER_00

Oh yeah. Oh yeah. It's disgusting. I'm sorry. I I'm sorry. If you do it, great, good for you. I don't give a shit, but I'm okay with nothing. I just remember what it was part of that.

SPEAKER_02

Uh giant air, it was called uh website of the day.

SPEAKER_00

I can't say the one I was just gonna say. I really can't.

SPEAKER_02

Whitehouse.com?

SPEAKER_00

No, no, no. We're we're gonna keep that one quiet. There's some. I don't I don't wanna No, I get it. All right. But anyways, yeah. Um it was very gross. And yeah. I don't know. Did not need to know about that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but I mean different strokes for all the folks.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I I guess.

SPEAKER_02

I sometimes multiple strokes for all the folks.

SPEAKER_00

I guess like all good for you, man. If you can put your nasty, whatever and yeah, make some money off that shit, good for you, good for you. The fuckers that buy it, you guys are fucking idiots. What is wrong with you? Hey, you know what? Look, I'm not trying to judge, but that's fucking disgusting. I'm sorry, it's gross.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I mean, the only thing I ever did was I I I had been subscribed very briefly to this is how long ago this was, a cam girl.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god. That's funny. Yeah. They probably people these days wouldn't even know what that means.

SPEAKER_02

What a cam girl. It's that's just streaming. Yeah, basically nowadays.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I don't know. Corn used to be free.

SPEAKER_02

Still is if you know where to look.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that's true.

SPEAKER_02

Alright. Well, on that note, everybody, yeah, uh, we will go ahead and start wrapping things up. Uh so yeah, again, you know, if you jumped way ahead for whatever reason, um, Connor is taking a bit of a hiatus. Uh, you know, always welcome here. He's not planning on leaving the podcast, just you know, taking a hiatus at the moment.

SPEAKER_00

We love you, Connor.

SPEAKER_02

Uh yes, we absolutely love Connor. Uh, like I said, uh, but thank you because I finally got on the fucking show.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, Jesus Christ.

SPEAKER_02

Uh well, maybe at least now uh she can move on to something else. I already know what that's good, something else is gonna be, though. Uh, because it's already been brought up today. Anyway, um, you know, Connor will be back. He's just taking a break. You know, hiatus is you know what we'll just call it. Uh, you know, he's like a brother. I even told him, like, dude, like, you know what, take your time. We're here for you. If I'm here for you, if you need me for anything, let me know. Um, you know, you know, love you like a brother, and you know, and that's having had a brother. I used to make the joke that you know, I I like him like my brother, uh, or I like him more than my brother. Uh even said that one time in front of my brother, and my brother's like, what the fuck?

SPEAKER_00

Your brother also said, You're such a fucking nerd. Oh, I am a nerd. So you're a sexy nerd.

SPEAKER_02

I thank you. You're welcome. I do not hide at all that you know, who I am. I've learned to embrace who I am. Uh, you know, I I worked in a corporate culture for many, many years, uh, basically hiding who I really was. And now I really don't give a shit what people think.

SPEAKER_01

And you shouldn't.

SPEAKER_02

I'm just gonna be who I am. Uh you know what? Channel my inner Popeye. I am what I am.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

And with that being said, though, uh, we do absolutely have to always show support to those of you that do subscribe. You being one of them, actually, Jen.

SPEAKER_00

Jesus Christ, yep.

SPEAKER_02

Uh, for about a year now, I think. Uh uh the last time we looked.

SPEAKER_00

Eight dollars of my hardworking money.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. I mean, you don't have to subscribe eight dollars. I you choose extra.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_02

And it is appreciated. Uh with that being said, I I will also still be doing the chaos index, which is gonna be the sports specific uh podcast. I have a couple things that I'm working on. Uh that obviously schedule will adjust a little bit as well, and you'll start getting things dialed in.

SPEAKER_00

Feel free to uh request me back for the sports podcast? No, not that one. This one. This one. This is kind of fun. I like it.

SPEAKER_02

One of the things I actually thought about, like I didn't think it was gonna end up lasting a whole hour. Uh, was gonna call it uh Poor Decisions Couple Shots. I love it, and uh, because you know it it was supposed to be a shorter version and it was being couples. I didn't think it was gonna last this long, but you know, phrasing? Yeah, um, phrasing? There it is. Yeah, um anyway. This has been Poor Decisions. Uh, make sure you go out and follow us on uh Instagram and Facebook. Those are the two main ones that we use. Uh, you know, I enjoy putting the post out there. Uh, you know, I always do a unique kind of album artwork for each episode. I'm kind of curious as to what this one's gonna come out to be. Uh, I do have to thank my assistant, uh, that being Marty, aka Chat Chief GPT, uh, which I do pay our psycho neighbor. We we we never discussed that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh. Oops.

SPEAKER_02

Cats out of the bag now.

SPEAKER_00

Come on, I think everyone knows about it. I'm pretty sure everybody knows.

SPEAKER_02

So, one of the things that Connor and I always say, like, if you really want to know, ask us in person.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. You you want to know about this. You definitely want to know. There's a uh sign in my window upstairs that says bite me.

SPEAKER_02

Yep. Uh, and I absolutely try to mess with Cuckoo across the street. Yeah. We've never said what his name was.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, well, I never said what his name was specifically.

SPEAKER_02

But we referred to Chat GPT.

SPEAKER_00

But it it's not the specific name, though. That's not no. I know, but you're telling on yourself here.

SPEAKER_02

It's hinting at it's hinting at enough at this point. But anyway, nobody fucking knows anything. I do I do pay for that too. So uh uh anything if you want to throw a little extra money my way, uh, would greatly appreciate it because it could go towards um potentially uh Jen's already trying to get more people on the show uh than I have mics for. So uh I might have to upgrade equipment uh to be able to get uh mm a bigger mixer and more mics.

SPEAKER_00

If we've not hit you up yet, you will be hit up to come join the show. I think we should have no.

SPEAKER_02

I definitely have to work on the uh the cellar. I used to call it the dungeon. Now I've been calling it the cellar.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we we need to. It's a hot mess in here.

SPEAKER_02

But anyway, we'll get there.

SPEAKER_00

But it yeah, we got a lot of stuff.

SPEAKER_02

But liking, subscribing, supporting us. Uh if you can't subscribe to us, completely understand. Make sure you give us a listen, though, uh, interact with our post, uh, share us with your friends, uh, family, frenemies, whatever. And uh, but we'll uh talk at you guys next time. All right.

SPEAKER_00

SPEAKER_02
