Roxy Coervers has a background in events and community development, and she now works for Kia Haumaru in violence prevention and safety education.

We spoke about her role as a kaiarahi (leader) with Kia Haumaru, teaching personal empowerment self-defence to women, girls, and persons of marginalised genders. We touched on the teachings of healthy relationships, emotional boundaries,  consent-based education, teaching self-worth to children and empowering the next generation through the work at Kia Haumaru.
