The Real Talk NZ Podcast

Faith Henare-Stewart at Real Talk Taitoko / Levin

Tania Carr Season 1 Episode 58

Ngā mihi nui ki a koutou katoa, nau mai hoki mai ki te kaupapa kōrero Real Talk.

I’m Tania Carr, and today in this episode, you are going to hear the powerful kōrero and story of Faith Henare-Stewart.

Faith took the stage at Real Talk Mō Ngā Rangatahi Taitoko – Levin, not only as our rangatahi speaker, but also as our MC and she definitely brought the fire!

She vulnerably shares with us her beautiful experiences of being whāngai, the struggles she experienced with bullying, and her blossoming career in music and performing arts as an indigenous wāhine.  She even busts out for the first time, her new compilation!

Here is Faith’s story...

Faith Oriwia Henare-Stewart is a singer, going by the name of Te Kurahuia and we are stoked to announce Faith as our MC for Real Talk Levin!

“Being Māori means being a part of a continuing cycle of aroha for your people, your knowledge, whakapapa all that can be passed down to the next mokopuna. What I do and how I look while doing it is what being Thee Bad Mana Wahine is all about.”
