Whenever Instagram brings out a new feature if you actively use it then Instagram will reward you for that behaviour. They will essentially show your stuff to more people. Reels is no different and the added benefit of the fact that IG seems to be pushing Reels they have moved the button into the bottom middle bar and are also showing reels in the explore page.
This means that if your reel gets onto the explore page you could open up your content to an entirely new following, gain new followers and grow your account a lot easier than if you were to be using any other growth method. Reels is a really good growth hack to engage with right now.
