Why am I peeing on myself?
Show Notes

Pelvic organ prolapse can be very debilitating for many patients causing leakage of urine, frequent bladder infections, embarrassing accidents and distortion or complete extrusion of the pelvic organs outside of the vaginal wall.  This condition can lead to interference with daily activities like sex and exercise.  Many caregivers find it hard to take care of their loved ones when incontinence is a problem.  Pelvic organ prolapse can affect all ages but is typically seen in older, obese and in patient's wife had big babies.  75% of pelvic organ prolapse is attributable to childbirth.  31% of young women report issues with prolapse and Latino/Caucasian females are 4-5 times more likely to suffer from this condition.  Pelvic floor exercises can help but only if a patient is compliant with her program. Surgical intervention is widely successful but it does not come without risk.  I hope you enjoy this episode.  Please email me at: elena@thevagenius.com or send me a DM on instagram @dr.elenarodriguez.  Subscribe, comment and share.  Thank you for tuning in.
