Speaker 1:

Welcome to Limbic Light Podcast Season 3. In this season we'll be diving deep into the marvels of our subconscious mind light, sound brainwave, entrainment and so many other natural ways to help you become clearer, calmer and more potent in being. I've titled this season Deep Brain Retrain. I'm Manisha Blunchley, your host, with more than 40 years experience in the natural health field, ready to share with you my very best tips. Let's get on with the show. Hi there everyone.

Speaker 1:

I have another great topic for you today and hopefully a very useful one for you that you might put to work and bring you great things. So today I'm going to be going through a guide for you, an exercise which I call Creating my Day. It's an exercise where, basically, you're self programming your subconscious mind, or you could say the quantum field, while you're in theta brainwave state. Now I'm going to go through this and just give you the background, why it works and the actual process of how you apply it. If you'd like to have further backup, I have a. You could call it a cheat sheet, or it's a guide where I've summarised everything in word form for you in a PDF document. The link to get that is at the bottom of this episode in the show notes. So if you're interested in getting that, please do go right ahead and click that so that you've got something in writing to remind you the steps and examples on how to do this great exercise.

Speaker 1:

So I first learnt this technique from a teacher about 12 years ago. I loved the technique. It was from the ancient school of wisdom. The process was so great for me that I decided just to do it every day, and I have been doing it every day for probably the last 12 or more years, and sometimes it would just blow me away. Just surprised me so much with the results and the effectiveness that I just did not want to go without doing this every day. If I let other things go maybe my meditation or my yoga or my walk the one thing I always would do is this exercise to create my day. Okay, so I'm going to share this exercise with you now. So what is it? What is creating your day? It's a short process that can be practised daily to create your day in the way you wish it to be, in the way that you want it to unfold. It's not only creating the day, but it's creating how you are throughout the day.

Speaker 1:

In this exercise, you use your voice, not just your silent thoughts, but your actual voice out aloud, to place a firm and yet still gentle command onto or into your subconscious mind and the field that we sometimes call it the quantum field, to create the experiences that you want for the day. Now I just want to remind you. Probably most of you are very familiar with what the quantum field is, or the field of possibilities, or the aetheric substance which makes up this universe, or you could even just say the subconscious mind. But basically there is a field you could say it's out there, but it's penetrating and a part of and is everywhere and everything, and it's a field which is a potential field. It's as if this field is listening to every thought, every word, every emotion that you have, and it's a very neutral field. It just reflects and brings back to you, in a more consolidated physical form, a reflection of what you're thinking and saying and feeling.

Speaker 1:

So it's a reminder for us to be really diligent and take care in what words we use, in what thoughts we have, and it's very natural that we have negative thoughts. That's part of us. We live in this dualistic world where we think positive and we think negative. We have all sorts of thoughts and words. I've had to train my words over the years, but so don't worry if you think something negative. But the key is not to dwell on negative thoughts and the key is also to say no, actually, I'm watching this thought but I don't want it. I'll let it go and just watch it go and replace it with a different thought. It's as simple as that.

Speaker 1:

Often, people don't know that they have the power and the ability to change their thoughts and their words, and if they do so, they can really readjust the outcome of their experiences of their life. So this exercise is a little bit along those lines. It's using our thoughts, and particularly our words, in a very conscious way to create something that we want, rather than just letting the day unfold in a willy-nilly default manner and finding that we experience things that we really didn't want to bring into our day. Okay, so it's a conscious creating of our day. So before I actually tell you how this process works or what process actually is, I'm going to just tell you why it works so well, what makes it work so well. So one of the key things about this exercise is that we're doing the exercise very early in the morning, within 20 to 30 minutes of waking.

Speaker 1:

Most of you may already know that we have different brainwave states which correlate with different mind states, and when we first wake up in the morning, we're still in this very nice, slow brainwave state which is called the theta brainwave state. It's very suggestible. In fact, it's the brainwave that we go into when somebody is doing a really good job of hypnotizing us. It's also the brainwave we go into when we're watching tv or a movie. We go into this almost like semi slumber state where the messages and the images and the words and everything is penetrating into our deeper mind. So it's very useful to use this theta brainwave state in the morning. However, we've also need to be very careful that we don't misuse it, that we don't use it for destructive purposes. So one of the reasons why this exercise works so well is because we're doing it early in the morning, soon after we wake, when our brainwave is still in theta state.

Speaker 1:

The other reason is I touched on this a little bit earlier it's about the words that we choose to use. Words have great power. Words are almost like a command to this field of potential, this quantum field, to bring us back what we're uttering, what we're speaking. The word is so powerful and it's an art form to really take great care in the words that we use. So the subconscious mind is listening to our words, not only our words, of course, our thoughts. So if we give our words out in a very strong, commanding, emphatic way to our subconscious mind, it will respond greatly and very well. I've got proof of that because I've been doing this exercise for 12 years and invariably I receive back what I've created in the morning. Okay. So how effective is this?

Speaker 1:

I know that there's a lot of doubting people or doubting attitudes about using words and using your thoughts to create reality, and a lot of people think it doesn't work or that it's not that simple, or that they can't overcome their subconscious patterning. However, if you are really able to use this exercise at the correct time of the day, when your censorship is low, when your doubting voice is low, when you're wide open to receive commands, ideas and prompts, then you'll have greater success. There's less interference and also, as long as you don't overthink the process, just allow it to be, just go for the ride and give it a go and see how you go with the exercise. Make sure you don't discreate it. In other words, our thoughts and words are so powerful If you create a wonderful day and then at the end of it, you think or say, oh, that's not going to really be possible, I won't really do that, I can't do that, that's unrealistic. If you discreet what you've just created, well, the subconscious mind will listen to that and it will certainly then not deliver what you created. So be careful. Once you've created the exercise, it's important that you just let it go and move on and stop thinking about it. It's just like you've written down a paragraph and then you put the piece of paper down and you walk away, forget about it.

Speaker 1:

Okay, so, as I said, best practice early in the morning. You're going for at least 30 minutes from the time that you wake. Now, if you're a late riser, it's okay. It doesn't have to be early in the morning, it just needs to be 30 minutes from the time that you've awakened. There is actually another time you can practice this too, and that's at the last thing before going to bed. I don't usually do that. However, somebody mentioned that that is actually a fantastic time to create your day coming. So you could actually, because our brain does go into that same brainwave state the theta brainwaves just before we go to sleep. So if you want to make extra sure and you want to doubly create, you can use the time before you drop off to sleep to do this exercise as well for the coming day.

Speaker 1:

Hi there, I just wanted to briefly share some very exciting news with you. I have developed a six week online course called Deep Brain Retrain, which comes live early next year. This course is designed to help you free yourself from old limiting belief patterns and also to help you unlock your fuller, greater potential. You'll be learning topics like understanding brainwaves, how they connect to certain mind states, how you can actually influence your mind using brain entrainment and identifying and rewriting your own early beliefs, crafting personalised hypnotic scripts and, most importantly, you'll be creating your very own brain entrainment audio tracks using free software, binaural or isotonic beats, mixing primordial sounds, music and messages so that you have a track which resonates specifically with you. You can register your interest in the link below the show notes below this podcast. I'll be offering a substantial discount to the first 10 people who enroll and I'll let you know when this offer and enrollment becomes live. So if this resonates with you. Just pop your name down in the register, your interest link below, and I will be in touch.

Speaker 1:

Okay, let's get on with the show. Okay, here's the process. As I've mentioned, do the exercise within 30 minutes of first waking. The closer to waking the better. You can do it while you're still laying in bed. It's actually quite a good idea doing it while you're laying in bed because I know a lot of people who struggle with anxiety tend to start thinking thoughts about what's coming for the day and they often wake up in a sense of dread and heart compound and there's real dread about the day. So if you could either jump out of bed early or jump out of bed soon after waking and do this exercise, or if you find that you're laying in bed, do the exercise rather than mulling over in your head and mind the negative thoughts of what possibly may come for the day. So if you're not laying in bed, just find a very quiet, nice, private space that's for you, only where you won't be disturbed. I Actually do it in the room where I am now, where I record my podcasts. It's my office in my home.

Speaker 1:

You can consider lighting a candle. If you're sitting in a room. Lighting a candle enhances the hypnotic theta brainwaves. By gently staring into the candlelight it will enhance that calm, open, hypnotic type of Brain state. So I often do that. I like a candle, I love doing that.

Speaker 1:

And then the next step is basically Speaking out aloud and when I say aloud I don't mean shouting aloud, but you're speaking it audibly. You're not thinking and you're not whispering. It's the step up. You're actually speaking it and use a firm and yet still gentle voice, as if you're talking to a young child or a Pet maybe, and you're commanding it to do something. There's great love, but there's also firmness and there's a command.

Speaker 1:

So I start the exercise by saying From the infinite source that I truly am, I create this day. You don't need to say that, but to acknowledge that you are an infinite being. Your nature is to create. It helps the process. So you can use your own words or you can use mine, whatever you want. From the infinite source that I truly am, I now create this day. Now you can start beginning to give your commands, start creating your day so you can make any Commands that you wish for the day. For example, I'll often say I Create this day, that I remain focused and Centred throughout the day. I Create this day that I communicate Clearly, calmly, confidently and on and on whatever you want to do. When you've finished your list, I Often give thanks and I say thank you for this creation. I allow it to be so, be it, or something to that effect, allowing it to come to fruition and giving thanks for it is Often a more potent part of the process that will help everything to unfold more easily.

Speaker 1:

The exercise might only take two minutes. It might take 15 minutes, it might take more than 15 minutes. It really depends on how many things you want to create and how much detail you want to put into the creation. I've often been told that detail is great. I don't always use detail with this process. I do with other processes where I'm forecasting my goals, but with this one, it's up to you. You can give it as much detail as you wish. So I'm just going to give you a few tips on what makes this process go better, and then I will give you some Examples of the commands that I have used in the past and I sometimes still do use. So let's have a look at the tips to make this work really well, one of the things that you Can do is to focus more on your attitude than the external Creation.

Speaker 1:

So, in other words, when you're creating, you might be focused on something on the outer world Coming to you or manifesting. However, you can also focus on creating a Mind-state, a perspective, an attitude of state of being within yourself. So that's more of an internal creation. I Think personally, that focusing in on our internal experience is much more powerful, and one of the reasons I say that is because when we work on our attitude, it's probably one of the most potent Processes that we can do to bring about positive change in our life. It's working on us, me, you, rather than trying to change somebody or change a circumstance outside.

Speaker 1:

If you change the way you approach a certain Situation, how you see it, how you appreciate it, what you take out of it, you're going to be able to be miles ahead than if you just focus on the external manifestation. So, for example, if you're meeting with someone that day and Somebody that you've had previous conflict with and you're a little bit nervous and Dreading it a little bit, you're a bit worried about how the outcome of that meeting is going to go with that person. If you want a beneficial meeting, you could focus on the external, which is my meeting with whoever it is goes really easily today, well and Productively. Or you could take a step further and focus on the internal state, which, for example, would be in this situation. In my meeting with so-and-so, I remain calm and resilient and kind in my approach with him. I speak my truth in a respectful way. We laugh, there's a lightness of being between us. I see him as a friend or as another soul on this earth journey. So the second way is actually focusing more on our attitude, on how we are in the situation, rather than trying to manipulate the outside. It's valuable to do the outside as well, but I think starting with the self first is probably much more powerful and effective.

Speaker 1:

The second tip in making this process work better Do your best to eliminate all negative words. And the reason why I say that is because the subconscious mind doesn't filter. It's a neutral field. It takes on anything that it hears. So even though the intention is for you, for example, to say you want to get rid of something, it only hears the something rather than what it is you want. So focus on what you do want rather than what you don't want. So, for example, if you're prone to stress and anxiety, instead of saying I create this day, that I am free from stress and free from anxiety, what you could say is say what you do want. So here's an example I create this day, I remain calm, I remain relaxed and I remain in a state of ease throughout the day, in every moment. I remind myself often to breathe easily and deeply throughout the day. So in that way, you're focusing on what you want rather than what you don't want. And the third tip short and sweet, just let it go. When it's done, don't even think about it. Just walk up and get on with your life, your day, your duties, and the subconscious mind will be programmed and it's percolating away and you might be quite surprised how the day eventuates, even without thinking about it.

Speaker 1:

Okay, here's some of the examples that I've used, the examples of the commands and statements in this activity, though I've used many, many, and I do change them. I do have some favourites, but it's great to change them from time to time, but if you're working on something particularly important to you, you can repeat the same command each day. So here's some examples that I've used I create this day that I'm thankful and I see my blessings in all situations. I create this day that I am safe and protected in every way, in every moment. I create this day that I am highly productive. I achieve whatever it is I'm working on that I want to achieve for the day. I create this day that I do my very best in everything that I do. Everything I do turns out highly successful and effective. I create this day that I speak my truth clearly, kindly and respectfully. I create this day. I do things differently today. I try new things. Really, you can create whatever you want and once you get the hang of it, it's such a beautiful exercise to do.

Speaker 1:

Alright, so I'm just going to give you a few of my experiences, of what's happened for me, and I think once some of these experiences that feed back to us come into our life, it really validates and confirms and consolidates that this process really does work, and I've had so many of them that it's made me have absolutely no doubts that the process is such a wonderful creation process. So, for example, sometimes I create very mundanely and I say I create this day I will contact so and so say like it's Jenny and I get busy throughout the day and I've forgotten what I've created. And the day is maybe five o'clock, I haven't contacted Jenny yet and then, out of the blue, jenny calls me and I remember oh my goodness, I created this day. I was going to contact Jenny and, lo and behold, she contacts me. So sometimes universe gives back to us, not exactly what and how we think we were creating, but invariably in some way it does reflect back what our intention was, and my intention was to connect with Jenny.

Speaker 1:

Another little experience I used to do it more in my earlier days when I was working my clinic and first starting up with clients, and I would set myself a target for generating a certain amount of income in that particular day. I wouldn't know what the day would bring, how many herbs I would sell or how many clients might book in ad hoc unexpectedly. So I would set myself a target and say I create this day, I will generate whatever number it is dollars this day. And so often I came so close to the mark or made the mark or a little bit more than the mark. It just flabbergasted me how it could work like that. So all those experiences really gave me the confirmation that this process really does work.

Speaker 1:

Of course, they are very external manifestations, but you can also very much work on your own internal state of being, state of mind, state of approach to other people. I often say I communicate really calmly and confidently and I do that because my aim is to bring forth messages, podcasts, through speaking to people, through teaching people, in a manner that's really clear and easy to access, easy to take in. So that's been one of my creations for a long time and I often do it before I start a podcast so that I flow more easily in my intention to communicate clearly, calmly and confidently. Anyway, I'm going to leave it at that. Just imagine that your subconscious mind is listening all the time. It's like a command center. You put in the commands to your command center and let it go and walk away and just see what happens. So it's as simple as that.

Speaker 1:

Okay, I hope you enjoyed this podcast and, more than anything, I hope that you put it into action, try it out. And, as I said earlier, in the podcast there is a sheet, a guide, which you can access.
