Speaker 1:

Welcome to Limbic Light Podcast Season 3. In this season, we'll be diving deep into the marvels of our subconscious mind light, sound brainwave, entrainment and so many other natural ways to help you become clearer, calmer and more potent in being. I've titled this season Deep Brain Retrain. I'm Manisha Blunchley, your host, with more than 40 years experience in the natural health field, ready to share with you my very best tips. Let's get on with the show. Hello again, welcome, and I'll be talking about something rather mysterious and different today.

Speaker 1:

I thought I would give you just a taste of something which is beyond our usual realm. It's always good to explore the unknown, so let's dive in. I'll be looking at Epsilon and Lambda brainwaves. They're brainwaves that not many people know about. They've only recently been given some form of recognition. I'll be looking at what their relevance might be to our state of mind, how best to approach them, some of their unique features and where you might be able to access some of these recordings. Okay, so you could say that these two brainwaves are at the ends of the spectrum.

Speaker 1:

I've been speaking numerous times about our brainwaves and how they graduate from very slow Delta up to Alpha, up to Theta and then to Alpha, which is the bridge, the middle point, and then getting faster into Beta, and then faster still into Gamma, which is also quite recently discovered what they're used for and then way beyond that we've got very, very fast. And way below the Delta slow ones, we've got very, very slow. So let's have a look at them. On the very slow end. I'm going to give you frequencies. They may or may not mean much to you, but I'm going to put it in a way that hopefully you can understand. So when we look at the very low end of Delta, which is all about deep sleep and regeneration, we're looking at a frequency of approximately one hertz. Some people might say that it goes down as far as half a hertz, but let's say it's around. About one hertz is the lower limit.

Speaker 1:

Now, beyond that, we're looking at Epsilon. I love that name, epsilon. I think it's because it reminds me of a movie that I saw about a planet and a traveler who came from another planet, and I think that the planet was called Epsilon. So already there we've got associations with something beyond the norm. Anyway, epsilon waves they occur at around zero to half or 0.5 of a hertz, and so that you can understand that a little bit better.

Speaker 1:

Epsilon waves are also hertz. Well, let's actually go to 1 Hertz. 1 Hertz, at the very bottom end of Delta, is 1 beat per second. So it's virtually every second you'll hear a tone or see a pulse of light. Now, if you're going to half a Hertz, you're going to hear one tone every two seconds or see a light flash every two seconds. If you're getting even further into 0.25, you're going to see one flash or hear one beat every four seconds. So it's super, super slow. We're looking at epsilon as being 0 up to 0.5. So that's extremely slow.

Speaker 1:

Now let's have a look at lambda. Lambda is the other rain waves state that we know very little about and that's on the other end of the spectrum. That could be almost referred to as hyper gamma. We know from the previous podcast that I've run. Gamma is in the high range. It's around about 50 Hertz. Some people say that it even goes as high as a hundred Hertz. In other words, I'll translate that back to you it's about 50 pulses or a hundred pulses per second. So it's extremely fast. Now this lambda is actually going beyond that. It's going from 100 to 200 beats per second, or pulses per second. Now, because our perception ability is limited, we're not actually able to perceive the pulses. In other words, it all blends because they're so fast. It all blends into one tone or one light, but it is a regular pulse. But I have to say that, even though our physical senses of sight and hearing may not pick it up, the body, the intelligence, the energy of our being does pick it up and it does have an effect. Okay, so that's an introduction. I've told you Epsilon is super, super slow and lambda is super, super fast, and some people are saying they've only recently discovered these and they're still trying to come to grips to understand what they really do.

Speaker 1:

What has been put forth as a possibility is that these two waves brainwave states are associated with a type of altered consciousness, something that's beyond our normal states of consciousness, and you could say some people are saying that it's linked to a much higher awareness. I would say particularly the fast brainwaves, because once we get into gamma waves, we're looking at a very acutely, highly aware hypostate of awareness. But if we go beyond that, then it's super, super awareness, alertness, and if we go super, super slow, we're going into the depths of our subconscious mind. We're really, really doing some interesting, strange things with our mind there. Some people have associated the Epsilon waves, particular the very slow ones to be associated with out-of-body travel, lucid dreaming, astral traveling. It's where almost our consciousness can leave or go beyond our physical state of being, and you'll see reference to this in some of the books, for example, the autobiography of a yogi by Yogananda Paramahansa and the many saints that lived in the Himalayas who did strange and wonderful mystical things. They were able to put their body into a state of suspended animation, which means they were hardly breathing, their body temperature dropped right down, their heartbeat was hardly perceptible and in this state, they were able to travel not travel physically, but travel in their astral energy bodies to other places to view other situations. Even some people would report that they could see their form in another place. So it's a very unusual mystical state of being, and so what has been proposed is that these two brain states are associated with this mystical, out-of-body, hyper aware state of being.

Speaker 1:

Hi there, I just wanted to briefly share some very exciting news with you. I have developed a six-week online course called Deep Brain Retrain. This course is designed to help you free yourself from old limiting belief patterns and also to help you unlock your fuller, greater potential. You'll be learning topics like understanding brain waves, how they connect to certain mind states, how you can actually influence your mind using brain entrainment and identifying and rewriting your own early beliefs, crafting personalised hypnotic scripts and, most importantly, you'll be creating your very own brain entrainment audio tracks using free software, binaural or isotonic beats, mixing primordial sounds, music and messages so that you have a track which resonates specifically with you. You can register your interest in the link below the show notes, below this podcast. I'll be offering a substantial discount to the first 10 people who enroll and I'll let you know when this offer and enrollment becomes live. So if this resonates with you, just pop your name down in the register your interest link below and I will be in touch. Okay, let's get on with the show.

Speaker 1:

Now the interesting thing there has been done a little bit of work and research done with this and when you think about brain waves, we often look at them, how they look like on a I think it's called a spectrograph, I'm not sure actually what it's called, but you can see the wave forms and so that we can see there are very, very fast lambda waves and very, very slow epsilon waves and what seems to appear is that these really fast, little little waves appear on the peaks and the troughs of the very, very slow waves. It's almost as if the slow waves are a carrier for the higher waves. The higher waves ride upon the crests than the troughs of the lower waves and it's like they're working together, you could say, probably producing two very different states of mind hyper-hyper-awareness and super, super slow, subconscious, deep states of being. They seem to appear together in the studies that have been made. Now I can't tell you exactly what listening to these sounds or looking at these pulse lights will do for you.

Speaker 1:

This is an area of experimentation and I'm putting it forth to you that if you're a consciousness explorer, if you're a meditator, if you're interested in other realms beyond this physical realm, this might be an area that you might be interested in exploring. I do know for myself and also my companion who I live with, we both go in and out of phases of being incredibly interested in this area, to the point where I produced a series of audio tracks which had very, very slow brainwave pulses, audio pulses with a superimposed script to help me leave my body. I say leave my body, but it's, my consciousness has the ability to separate from the physical aspect of my being. I've read quite a few books on this topic and it fascinates me. It fascinates me in the area that we might be able to have contact with deceased souls who, in my belief, still exist, but on a different frequency, a different realm, and I think so many things are possible once we learn how to work within these other realms.

Speaker 1:

But it's not particularly easy. So one thing I would say is that if you're going to experiment with this type of work or these types of brainwaves, it would probably be very important to first take yourself into a very, very deeply relaxed state first, so it's not something that you would immediately jump into. I say this because I am in the process of developing the course on helping people create their own brain entrainment audio tracks, and I would not advise that people would use these two brainwave states particularly upfront straight away. If, for example, you wanted to experiment, I would say that you would first probably need at least 20 minutes of gradually taking your consciousness and relaxation down, down, slow, slow, slow, from alpha to theta, and then be in delta, nice, slow delta for some time before you start introducing the even slower waves and, with them associated, the very fast waves. Now, what typically happens? When you get into the delta waves, when you're doing some sort of brain entrainment, it's very easy to fall asleep because they are the brainwaves that are associated with this deep sleep. So there is some difficulty in staying awake. However, this is an area to explore because if you slowly start to introduce and superimpose some of these higher hyper alert frequencies maybe starting with gamma and then gradually going up to the lambda fast ones then you'll introduce an element of awareness so that you're not stuck in this deep, deep slumber state. You still want some sort of awakeness and alertness and awareness, combined with this very, very deep relaxation. I hope you're following me here. It's quite an area of Pacific interest. It doesn't appeal to everyone, but I think it's so fascinating because it's an area we don't know so much about and for some of you out there who might be interested in exploring. I really urge you to take the step and it would be wonderful if we can share our findings with each other and see what we're all doing.

Speaker 1:

Now. It's going to be pretty hard to find any tracks that are already made in these realms of epsilon and lambda. I am aware that in my Sensora system, the multi-sensorial sound, light and vibrational chair that I have, there have been some very, very slow frequencies introduced in the pulsing of the light and they are deeply, deeply relaxing, but I'm not aware of any super fast ones. I do know that there is some gamma in the more recent models, so you can combine, possibly, the Epsilon with the gamma in some of those Sensora systems. But I did come across another audio track which is produced by a very interesting group of people called I Awake, and there's one particular track which is called Infinity and that does actually introduce the lambda and Epsilon frequencies. I did listen to an interview with the creator, the inventor, of this particular track and he said that it took him a long time to develop. It's really quite a refined process and one of the things he did emphasize, as I said before, that it takes time to get down to this very, very deep state. So these products or these audios that they've produced are an hour long, to my knowledge, and they're required to go the full length of that time to enable yourself to really experience the fullness of the whole process. So I'm actually going to put a link in the show notes to this particular company and their product in case you're interested in purchasing that, or even looking at some of their other products you might be interested in that.

Speaker 1:

I am not sure, in all honesty, whether I will yet play with these frequencies in my own developments. I'm super curious and I'm super interested and I may go in that direction in time. However, I did hear on the YouTube. There's so many people putting so many different things out there. I heard a combination tone of the Epsilon and the Lambda audio waves put together and there's nothing else with them. It's just the pure tones. And of course, it sounds not particularly pleasant. And that's why my course, which I'm helping people to develop their own brain entrainment tracks, I do advise to use other beautiful sounds with their frequencies, whether it is ocean sounds or rain sounds or, if you wanted to have some very gentle music as well, very chilled, easy music or tones of Tibetan bells, whatever you want. And I would also recommend for those of you who might be going into experimenting, to put these frequencies at a rather low volume level. You don't want them to dominate, you want them to be in the background. So they're gently massaging away your brain waves without it being too jarring.

Speaker 1:

So anyway, I wanted to talk about these particular brain waves today. I promised it in a previous episode and I find them fascinating, as I do find fascinating the whole topic of mystical experiences, of other realms possibly that coexist around us. And obviously we live on this plane in a certain narrow range of frequency band, a bit like a radio, and if we go beyond those frequency ranges then we enter new territory and possibly our body is not made, our brain is not really made, to be able to reach these frequencies easily. But we may have a powerful tool by using brain entrainment to gradually, bit by bit, allow us to explore these other frequencies that I believe are all around us all the time. So anyway, I'll leave you with that.

Speaker 1:

It's a short, curious, inspiring topic today and I hope you enjoyed it and hope you are well. All the best, take care and I'll speak to you again in another episode. Bye, for now.
