Thyme
Hello God. Are ya’ there?
God
Right here.
Thyme
We need ta’ talk!
God
Yeah, we do.
Thyme
Now how did you know that?
God
Because I’m all knowing.
Thyme
You know everything there is to know?
God
Yup.
Thyme
Well, that must weigh on ya’ considerable.
God
Ha! Yeah, sometimes it does.
Thyme
So whadya do when it does?
God
I deal with it.
Thyme
You deal with all the world’s problems?
God
No, I deal with all the problems of the universe and beyond.
Thyme
Phew! Tha’s a lot a’ problems.
God
Yup.
Thyme
You strong enough ta’ handle all that?
God
I am.
Thyme
Go on …
God
I am! I am all powerful. Omnipotent.
Thyme
Omni. Potent. All powerful. Hm. So you could take over the world if ya’ wanted to.
God
I already did that.
Thyme
You did?
God
Thyme, I made the whole world.
Thyme
An’ the moon an’ the stars?
God
An’ the moon an’ the stars.
Thyme
That take you a long time?
God
No such thing as time, Thyme.
Thyme
Albert Einstein.
God
That’s right. He figured that out. You know about Albert Einstein?
Thyme
‘Course I do. I love readin’ ‘bout all that stuff.
God
Quantum Physics too.
Thyme
Oh yeah, all them little things
God
I made those too.
Thyme
All them atoms an’ molly cules, an electrons?
God
Uh huh.
Thyme
That musta taken you a coon’s age.
God
Nope. Did it all in the blink of an’ eye.
Thyme
No kiddin’?
God
No kiddin’.
Thyme
How’d you do that?
God
The idea just came to me, so I made it.
Thyme
Every one a’ them atoms an’ every one a’ them stars?
God
Every one.
Thyme
That’s hard ta’ believe.
God
Are you doubting my word, Thyme?
Thyme
Well, no God. I’m jus’ havin’ a hard time wrapping ma’ brain ‘round that one. Seems like that jus’ had ta’ take some time, but then again time don’t exist, so that’s where I run into the wall.
God
Well, think of it like this: I thought it up, so it was … so it is.
Thyme
Ya’ mean all it took was a little thought?
God
Now ya’ got it.
Thyme
So, thought is where all that omnipotent stuff comes from? Thought is the power?
God
Yup.
Thyme
I’m gonna think on that.
God
Good idea, Thyme. You do that.
Thyme
Yeah, I’m gonna think on that.
