Unknown Speaker  4:13
Hello, and thank you for having me. Hello. Oh, thank

Unknown Speaker  4:16
you so much for joining us from Germany today. And we're very keen to get you on the show. Because today, or rather, this month is a brand new year. And it's everyone goes mad with setting new goals and intentions and then it doesn't always quite work out in a way that they wished they wished it to. And I thought who better to get on the shoulder new milestones. We're going to talk today about how to kind of with regards to setting intentions and attention to set those intentions and I know that you I was looking at your your your profile and the details about yourself and you've done so many things but I thought maybe that's just start a bit of your journey if you wouldn't mind Martin And then can go from there.

Unknown Speaker  5:02
Yeah. So I would say the most consistent thing about my journey is this, there's no consistency yet, you know, that, as you mentioned, I've done really many things before always trying to find my place. In a sense, I was like, I would say that the most, or the the question I was asking myself the most was, what am I doing here? You know, there's a, there's a beautiful movie with Ryan. I don't remember, I usually mix them up, but but he it's called definitely maybe the movie if you want to look it up. And he, it's so beautiful, because he in all the different phases of his life, he's kind of like screaming out, what am I doing here, and that kind of like, relates to my journey that I was really coming from a, from a low place in life, having really had most of the difficulties with myself and with my, with my emotions, and with just like finding, finding my home in a sense, and that was why I was shifting around moving around in the world, as well as in jobs, you know, mostly not working more than a year in any kind of position and switching up positions. And so I would say there was great inconsistency. But through that I slowly honed in on that it's not out there, you know, it's not I can't find my place of belonging outside in the world. There's places that feel better to me, where I'm much more at home, like Hawaii or Norway. But if I don't find my home internally, then I will always be that, that wonder that that kind of like Rolling Stone, right. And so that's probably the best description of where I'm coming from.

Unknown Speaker  6:46
No, wonderful, and it's kind of sounds like you kind of kind of embrace embrace that, but kind of got some structure as well. That's from listening. That's what I hear in Hawaii. That is supposed to be such a fabulous place. Would you mind, just tell me a little bit about this. I know I'm going slightly off here. But I really like to hear a bit about Hawaii and how, why you chose that as a place to go to and the journey.

Unknown Speaker  7:11
Yeah, it's just, it was a coincidence, to be honest, I was an au pair in 2007 to 2008. And I was in the in the greater area of Washington, DC and Northern Virginia. And with my girlfriend at the time, we wanted to go to Hawaii. Because I mean, Hawaii is in everybody's mouth in this sense. And you hear so much about it. But one of our favourite artists, musicians was Jack Johnson, or is still is Jack Johnson. And he's from Hawaii. So we were kind of like using that closeness to Hawaii to just go there, go to Oahu, and just be there for a week. And the feeling that I had is was mostly not really something I was aware of at the time, but something kind of like resonated deeply within me. And so all these years until I came back in 2008, I was always kind of like, remembering there was something special. And my way of putting what is so special about Hawaii is, is a subliminal kind of like that feeling. I feel that is it is a place of great beauty. But also there's so much if we look at it from a spiritual or energetic point of view, there's so much positive energy emanating from everything and it's in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific Ocean itself is something that I draw great strength from and energy because it's it's such a special way where you're in the middle of this deep, deep ocean, and then the islands just come up from the ocean floor. And it's the youngest or the the newest extension of places in the world. It's so young, it's kind of like that baby in terms of the continents and the existence of the earth. Right. So it's a place of rebirth and continual creation when I was there. Just a couple of weeks ago, Mona Lola, the volcano was erupting and lava was coming out. Now the lava is kind of like flowing on the smaller volcano. And so there is this continuous place of newness and creation and maybe one more thing and in the evolution of the species in Hawaii, because there is so remote and everything is so far far away that most of the plant life and the animals that live there are don't they don't exist anywhere else in the world. And a curious thing is that most of those species don't have or let go of their of their of their protection in In the sense that if we look at meant, for example, men evolved in a different way where it didn't have all these features that it needed to be to protect itself from other intimate animals and species. So they are kind of like unique in that sense that they are much more open, I would say and that openness is something that I really resonate with and why I feel there's great healing it is, to me the most potent healing transformation is what I experienced there. So I feel like this is this is such a such a beautiful place for me to be in, it's challenging. It's not always easy. Stuff comes up. Every time when I'm there, there's always transformation old patterns coming up. But it's such a beautiful, embracing, loving, kind of healing, it is non compromising, but in the end, it's loving, loving transformation.

Unknown Speaker  10:54
Oh, what a beautiful description of that place. And as you were speaking, I could feel like the energy but I've kind of transported there as you're describing it to me and that's really fascinating about the minty I just, I would never have known that I would like to ask regarding people's goals and their down direction because I'm from hearing your story you kind of you realised that you did like to be in different places but then obviously you've managed to make a very successful life out of that and but Martin would you mind sharing the kind of like one of the first steps that you kind of took to find your spiritual path.

Unknown Speaker  11:37
So when I when I hear correctly, it is about that that beginning right, how was the beginning so the beginning was actually to me in necessity, I was like, I like I said before I asked myself, What am I doing here but that was connected to great suffering and restlessness and depression. So my, my, my, the journey began when I stumbled into a workshop of shamanic journey of a shamanic journey where where I was exposed to certain things that I never really knew were there. And the spiritual path opened up to me there that there's other other worlds other realities than the material plane. And so for the first time, it felt to me, like the things I'm struggling with, there's actually a way to, to to transcend that I would not have called it that at the time. But to that, I don't have to stay in this loop of feeling low and sometimes just being okay the ad this manic kind of like bipolar, where it's sometimes really high, but not really sustainable, high, but just like, like to like a peak, a really sharp peak, and then dropping down into that abyss again, so that that experience was the first time where I felt well, this is actually changing my patterns or my default patterns, my my socialised behaviour, there is actually a way to, to work with this and to to really slowly move out of that. So that was my beginning, which, which really mesmerised me and which is why I'm still doing that, because it was just like, so powerful to me that I felt like all the answers that I needed, were there. Because it's such a holistic point of view and perspective and work kind of

Unknown Speaker  13:36
connection to all of the things as well. That's what I feel when I say that shamanic, it's kind of that connection with, with all things, how we're all interconnected. And really, I've had stages in my life where I've kind of been gone highs and lows as well. And I totally agree. It's kind of not sustainable. For me. It's kind of been the meditation, and I'm also actually doing a training on a shamanic course, as well as we speak. So that's equally and intuitive to speak to you on the show today. But I think it's really important. I don't know if you agree that that that our listeners find something that kind of works for them. And then sometimes, it's not always kind of there's so many ways and out there that we can heal ourselves. What advice would you give to a listener who's thinking oh, yes, I really would like to try shamanic path but I don't really know where to get started,

Unknown Speaker  14:37
I would say to just start probably right that if if you feel called to something then that's a good indicator. Like if I feel like I didn't even know it existed at the time I was just told by my friend he did a seminar and he found his totem animal or spirit animal and that that concept itself was interesting enough for me to pursue do that. So if we already have a clearer picture of what it is that is calling us right now, then to just follow that calling and explore and find out and see if it resonates. And if maybe, maybe something maybe only a little bit resonates. But I, I felt really since since this journey began, for me, it's kind of like one thing led to another and I found out something, I found out that something doesn't work for me. And then I let that go. And I really learned something new. And from there, I inquired again, and found, like, all the spiritual teachers that I'm currently kind of like facilitating around myself, and the teachings that I received from them are a product of that dissection and of that exploration process. Some of the books I read, were okay, and I learned something from it, but I didn't really follow up on that. And then others kind of like, there was something maybe similar to Hawaii, when we, when we are sharp enough or aware enough to listen to our feelings, we get a clearer picture of what is working for us and what isn't, because something just feels right. And other things just don't really do it. You know,

Unknown Speaker  16:14
I really liked that, we can set our intention, in a sense to kind of be in that space. And, and then the guidance comes because I sometimes feel as well, like I used to kind of be a bit of a self help book addict, were kind of read so many self help books, and I do still read self help books. But sometimes I think we can get kind of bogged down by the theory. And a lot of the time, it's kind of setting the intention to do the practices. So I would say the best advice I could give listeners is to set to actually do the practices of what what they what they resonate with, and not just read about it all the time. But my question to you today, Martin, is, why do so many of us struggle with attention and intention? And what would you suggest is the antidote to that?

Unknown Speaker  17:10
That is a really good question. So why we struggle with attention is probably one reason because there's so much to choose from, you know, that there's just like the fear of missing out or fear of being on the wrong track and finding something other attractive, like the grass is always greener. On the other side, I think the problem with the tension is that the there's a certain degree of commitment we need in order to follow up and go through the ups and downs. And to really commit to giving this a chance and to, to doing the work that needs to be done. Like you said, if I read a self help book, or if I'm listening, I'm an audiobook listener, if I listened to something, and if I don't apply it, or if I don't give myself the space and the capacity to really dive into that practically, then it just stays a concept. And like you said, then we get really hooked on on. It's kind of like buying, like I don't know, if you know, elearning courses, I've bought so many elearning courses, and I've almost not completed any one of those. But the concept of buying gives us the impression of we're doing something but we're not, you know, it's easier to buy something than to actually do the work. So I think attention is probably our lack of commitment and our capacity to really go go into those places that hurt us where it's painful, where it the where we want to go away for the reasons why we buy those books are the the things that we run away from and to really to capacity to dive into that feeling and to work with that rather than to, to find a way of purchasing this feeling away or kind of like I don't know that that would probably be my answer to the attention and intention. Intention is I think it's very easy to set an intention. It's just oftentimes we really, really don't do it. We forget about it, how important that direction that that intention setting is. It's kind of like, as if we're just going around in circles and we're we're just we're intent we don't even intend on anything. We just go wherever we feel like going but the intention like setting setting a target in the distance. That would be for me to set the intention. This is where I want to go. This is for the new year's resolution to pick up your train of thought there. This year. I really I really want to be more compassionate with myself to pick up on that and to be more loving towards myself, that intention is something completely different. Because it is something that looks at life from the point of view of adding something, it's kind of like bringing something valuable and something beneficial into my life but not seeing it as I'm not good enough. But like, I am already compassionate and loving. But I'm my I know, there are situations where I just I default back into old patterns and with the intention to bring that into my life is to me a model of added value. And a lot of the new year's resolutions are coming from an inner standpoint of not being good enough. Like if we look at, I am overweight, I need to lose weight. This is just like coming from the point of view, I'm to.dot.or, I need to work out more I need to eat more healthily is all oftentimes not all, but very, very many times it's looked at from the point of view of lack and of not being good enough. And that's why we struggle with that we were set up to fail, because it is that intrinsic kind of like picture of not being good enough. And so this is kind of like a self fulfilling prophecy that that would be my two cents worth of

Unknown Speaker  21:34
YouTube. Yeah, absolutely. And we can, we can tell ourselves up caught me for not doing the like, I was thinking about this before I came online, actually. And I was looking because I actually put out a plan for the year. And of what I want to do by kind of set time times when I realised life has to be a bit more kind of fluid, you know, like you can have, I think it's kind of balanced between kind of going for, like the intentions and goals. And being a bit kind of, like you said, compassionate towards yourself, because you know that you could have numbers one to seven by a set date, and then something new comes into one sphere. So it's kind of having a bit of yield is the word, I'm looking for accountability of yield, and by all means, try and achieve things. But the achievement is to have that kind of self love and to kind of have that presence and kind of being in the moment more which, again, can be a challenge with all the the things that around that can distractions these days, we're kind of quite a quick fix world in many ways, and yeah, with the self help books, especially we can kind of think we need to fix everything all the time. And it's not necessarily the case. How can someone find Martin purpose and me and if they don't know how to start? Or where to look? Which can be quite a common thing, I believe.

Unknown Speaker  23:05
Absolutely. And, and I think we underestimate the gravity of what you just said, because if we're in that feeling, or if we feel like that Miss, we don't have any purpose and how can I find purpose, you know, that that is just like, I feel it's almost like an oxymoron. It is, I think we have to lose ourselves at some point in order to be able to find ourselves and that is not an easy process. We have to be to be willing to embrace the confusion and the chaos and say, Well, I cannot change it. This is the way it is right now. I don't know what I what I'm supposed to do. I don't know where to go. I don't know what like, I just don't know. And to find our peace with that. I think that the the only the only choice that we have is that and either we fight this and we fight this futile battle and at some point, we're so exhausted that we just give up and say well, I can't fight it anymore. I'm just burned out. Whatever happens happens, you know, I think we can fight we can fight it or we can't. But in the end it will bring us to that place. When I remember in Cork I just mentioned that before we came on that I was really struggling a lot with with with myself and with a lot of things. And I felt just like I can't fight this anymore. I just I just need to go wherever life wants me to go and then I went back to Cologne and needed some kind of time for recovery I created. I created a container in which I knew I was home I knew To all the people I was familiar with the landscape and with everything and so I felt like going back to a place of comfort where I can regenerate and recharge was necessary. And so I feel like it is sometimes we might not know how how to proceed, but we know what we need right now. And then to just integrate that into our lives and say, Well, I think it is time for me to just bring that into my life I might not be able to see above or beyond that wall that is surrounding me or the fog, whatever you want to call that confusion, but I know right now, the the one step that I can take is what I what I know, I need right now and then just follow doing that step and then doing that next step. And at some point, the fog will clear, we will get a better picture and then purpose. Like this is just like, like I said, a trial and error come coming going. At some point, I didn't know what I want to do in my life for the longest time, you know?

Unknown Speaker  26:09
Yeah, I think we can put so much pressure on ourselves. And I like the way you said you went to a place where you felt kind of like, to me it sound like nurtured where you kind of knew the landscape me knew it was somewhere that it was the right kind of place, I do think places can have an effect on a night owl well, and our well being or Ravel or what we kind of want to achieve. And And what you also go to Norway quite often don't you and that's supposed to be very magical place against you like to go at what what's the energy of Norway, like in the context of all of this

Unknown Speaker  26:47
you know, it's so it's so difficult to put these these because I would say I'm I'm I'm a my senses. Like if I my two primary senses that I'm using, and I can rely on are probably sound and feeling. So it is no way to me has a very, very beautiful feeling. I love the people I love the language. I love the nature. I mean, it is just breathtakingly beautiful. And I think it is about resonance. As I said, some places just rejuvenate does charge us and it's it's to me it's been this this constant. And this is a struggle to to find my way back, you know, I went to Oslo and I lived there. And I wanted to stay but I couldn't I didn't find a job that would sit steamy in Norway. And I kind of like, like, tried all I could to stay but I couldn't. And I was kind of like ejected to to Ireland at that point. And from that point on, I've been always trying to find a way find my way back, you know, and I'm struggling with that rather than going with the flow and saying well, surrendering to life and saying, Well, if it's meant to be I'll be back but the feeling is just it's probably a lot of those places that are attracting us are less populated. That is just my assumption, you know that nature comes through the Spirit comes through Norway also has great mythical creatures like the kid a little bit like a leprechaun, or these these Old Norse beings have Gods and Goddesses and everything. So there's, I think there's great great energy in those less populated places. And I had a wonderful podcast some months ago, where the host said it these thin places, you know, that where, where it's where we where we are in touch with, with. Yeah, just the essence of life probably a little more. So I would describe Norway for me as being a place like that. Oh,

Unknown Speaker  29:13
beautiful. Lovely. I love that. So I find that when I'm around, like nature and trees, I just feel that this kind of like appeal like a gold can into a different world. And I reckon I could even live in a tree with everyone with the most practical things to do.

Unknown Speaker  29:31
Absolutely. I'd love to live on a on a tree, a leg in a tree house is beautiful.

Unknown Speaker  29:36
What is the goal and do you think we should have them or do you think it we should go for something else?

Unknown Speaker  29:45
It's probably I would say always, where we're the Middle Way is usually the one that is most beneficial, right? So in a way having The goal helps us but but like you said before, holding on to the goal to too much or being not flexible enough, is when it's probably not as healthy or or deconstructed deconstructive in an I think Alan Watts talks about tacking in sailing, that when that that is a very beneficial way that we have a goal. And we use the wind to bring us in. Sometimes when we're sailing with the wind, it's effortless, we can just choose the destination and the wind will bring us there. But sometimes, depending on where we are, and how the wind conditions are, we have to tack and we have to kind of like go back and forth. And to get forward, we're still moving forward. But it's not the direct destination, right? It's not the direct route. So I feel goals are probably best handled in that way that they help us to hone in on a destination. But when we when we experience resistance, or when we experience any kind of external circumstances where it's not possible for us to get there to just trust in if we keep that intention, we're back at that. If we keep that intention, then we will get there. It might not be the direct route. And this is also going back for me to Norway, that I tried to find jobs in Norway. So many times I learned the language, I did everything I could and it wasn't possible. And now for the first time in my life with my coaching practice, I feel I can actually go there because I found a way to make money in a system that wouldn't give me a job and now I'm making money differently. And now I can choose Okay, well with that. I can go back or I can go forward more to that place and try it out and see how it goes. And maybe from there I realised it's not really that practical, or it's it's a nice vacation place, but it's nothing where I want to live and then to just move forward, you know, so I feel the goal is helpful if we are flexible enough to move with the external circumstances and adapt to those

Unknown Speaker  32:24
absolutely in surrender kind of surrender, like set the intention and surrender and it kind of finds its way. So Martin, I'm listening, I'm listening and I want to know about that your your coaching and your your shamanic work, would you mind sharing about that with us today?

Unknown Speaker  32:41
I would love to do that. Do you have any kind of special or particular question about that?

Unknown Speaker  32:49
Yeah, just like if just say, if I'm, if I'm kind of like listening, and I'm feeling that, yeah, I kind of want to make some changes in my life, but I'm not sure how and I'm interested in some spiritual work, etc. How would you be able to help the health that listener

Unknown Speaker  33:09
so the beautiful part that I mentioned before is that the the model that I was taught is called the medicine wheel. And it is a holistic way to see life and we can use this holistic tool or model in order to do the somatic journey. So the shamanic journey is kind of like the actual tool. And Medicine Wheel is helping us to gain perspective and to decode and to kind of like put intention and purpose into our journeys. And for people who are interested in that work, I think the most important thing is really to to set the intention that this is something that I want to try out. And in my practice I created last year I'm I'm constantly evolving. But last year, I created a 16 week programme where I was, was helping my clients to to do journeys. And to kind of traverse that medicine we are and to gain perspective through all the different places in the medicine wheel. I know that is a little bit abstract, or maybe complex, but just imagine looking at your intention from these different points of views. And my my work was to bring my clients to these different perspectives and to look at their goals and their intentions from these different perspectives and through these shamanic journeys, which is an inner journey, kind of like an inner contemplation or maybe a conversation with your subconscious. They found images and solutions to their intention that they brought back into the coaching session. I just helped them to decode what they brought with them, right. So, in a sense, and I had a interesting conversation the other day where somebody asked me what it what it is that I actually do. And then she came to the conclusion with me that it is not really much that I do. And that is, to me the great, the great skill that I had to learn over the years that to to go to step back that the person is important thing, and for me, it's just important to hold that space to create a container where they can have that inner conversation with their subconscious and align with their goals, and to guide them through that process. So it is a it is a very subtle and just sensitive way to work, if that makes any sense, you know, it is putting the focus on someone else, because it's not about me, it's all about the work that you were doing. If you were with me, then I just help you to see what you currently can see. And offering a space in order to do that in

Unknown Speaker  36:16
that's so refreshing to hear. It's it's so many kinds of ways in which people can kind of like heal and kind of do courses, but I think sometimes it is, it is like a kind of get out the way so that they can kind of decipher that information as well as just because they can I guess people can go on shamanic journey, but then they may not necessarily be able to decipher that information and having someone like yourself there to kind of like, help them see, see the see the path because everyone's path is kind of like, unique. So if I'm an international listener, and I want to kind of connect and go through this process with yourself, Martin, what is the best way that they can reach out to you and speak to you.

Unknown Speaker  37:07
So the best way is probably either to visit my website, light trails.co. Or to use the nodes that you have probably to just click on any links or, or any any ways to contact me my search engine optimization in my whole website is not built in a sense where I pop up immediately. So it might be difficult to Google me in a sense, and also lightrail SEO or the, the show notes might might help them and then we'll just do like, you know, for me, the most important things always is that people benefit from from whatever we do together I so it's it's all about that exploration. And even in quotation, or in quotation marks, even if it's just to find clarity on how to proceed, you know, maybe and that that happens so many times that we think this is our, our path and we're meeting someone and we think this is this is the love of my life, whatever. And then it turns out to be that person was just the connector to find the actual person that I was meant to meet, you know, so whatever it is, to me, it's just beautiful to be that facilitator. And if it is an agreement that we do the next two years together, or if it's just for this moment, you know, as long as there's benefit and health and growing in that, then that's, that's all that we can ask for it in my mind.

Yeah, fantastic, fantastic. A, if you will, I have a couple more questions. I'm mindful of the time but if you were to speak with your 25 year old self, what advice would you have for him?

Unknown Speaker  39:13
You know, it's it's such a, it's such a it's such an interesting question. Because it implies in one way that doing things differently, which, you know, like the conundrum of if I would go back in time and would tell myself to do things differently. I wouldn't be the person that I am today. So it's always that, that that that strikes me a little bit but I think when I was 25 I had just just started out on this journey, and did many things that I did for other people. I think in 2016, let me see, I was probably 2828 in 2016. No 32. Sorry, I was 32 in 2016. So, in 2016, I stated for the first time I just got back from Ireland and that it's funny that I get to, to add these pearls together to chronologically, I said, I will do whatever it takes to be happy. That was when I was 32. So from 25 to 32, that was still seven years a lot of doing stuff for other people's sakes, and making other people happy expectations, meeting those of others and my own expectations. And so that I would answer the question, in the sense, do what makes you happy right now, you know, just follow your dreams, follow your heart, follow whatever it is that that makes you feel good. And it might not always lead to positive outcomes, we will encounter struggle, and we will encounter pain and suffering, but it is life is so short, that if we look at it, from that point of view, it's so sad that we would live a life without following our passions and our kind of what makes us happy, you know, I know this is this is not always easy, we have responsibilities, and we have certain things that need to be doing need to be done. But in essence, I think there's always a chance and always an opportunity to to follow the heart, in a sense, that is still still being responsible and still kind of creating a life where we're, we're able to follow our dreams. Like that

Unknown Speaker  41:54
they're able to follow our dreams, whilst following our dreams, have you got any tips on how to kind of keep focus because that can sometimes be. So we're trying to kind of stay fluid in the flow with life kind of like, not being so fixed, but equally, you know, so much where's our kind of attention can let her off in different places,

Unknown Speaker  42:23
I think the best way to stay focused, yet at the same time, being flexible enough to give room for for that, for that for that process, is is to constantly learn, and challenge ourselves when we can, like go out of our comfort zone when we can. But if we if we like I love I love observing when I say I can't, versus I don't want to. And so if I still have enough energy to say I don't want to, it's probably a good way to to get out of that comfort, comfort situation or comfort space. And to really work with that. But if I feel I can't, I'm really so exhausted to just give ourselves that self care and rejuvenation recharge, to to kind of like see after ourselves that we that we feel better. And when we feel recharged and able to do things again, to go out into the world and pick up that focus again, and to get out of our comfort zone and do the work and learn. You know, so it's I think it's a very compassionate way of knowing when we have the capacity and the energy to explore and be in the newness and the rawness of everything that is adventure and kind of like the exploration process but also being being in touch with that side of us that needs tenderness and loving situations and maybe relationships and all of that, you know, that is the dance. I would say with that dance we're able to to focus on our progress and the goals.

Unknown Speaker  44:20
Yes, absolutely. I just like to open the mic up to you Martin for the last little this is the last question. Is there anything you would like to specifically shared today?

Unknown Speaker  44:32
So when when you were speaking about the intentions and New Year's resolution, I thought about one of my ways to celebrate the end of the old year and the beginning of the new is to draw from the angel card Oracle or the angel cards. I don't know if you know them. It's beautiful, beautiful. And a way for for us to see New Year's resolutions more as inviting a certain kind of energy or a certain kind of intention to use your words as well into our year, what it is I want to work with what is my who's my teacher this year? What do I want to learn? You know. And so I drew my angel card, and it is forgiveness for this year. So I know that throughout the year, forgiveness will be my teacher, there will be times where I learn how it is to be forgiving, but there will be times when I will be probably from from all my experience with all the other years, I will encounter places where I will be judgmental, where I will kind of like encounter everything that is opposing forgiveness. And so this teacher is here to teach me more about forgiveness. And to see these new year's resolutions more as opportunities, we have a year in which we can devote a whole 365 days to learning something, and trusting in the process that there will be opportunities that we learn this aspect of life, you know, so it doesn't have to be about the angel cards, you can use a New Year's resolution also like this year, I want to be more present or aware with money. And then I can have money as my teacher and there will be times when maybe there's money flowing. There was times when I don't have any money or where I don't have the money for the things I want to do you know, and so just see it as a teaching rather as something where life is kicking us down. No,

Unknown Speaker  46:49
I like that as well, kind of focusing on a key kind of key would be via an Oracle deck or kind of kind of sitting in sitting down and kind of feeling feeling that because we can sometimes try and like focus on so many things at once. And I think that is can be a kind of a downfall of setting intentions as well as we're just I want to fix this, this and this. And it comes back to what you said earlier that sometimes it can come from, it's not feeling kind of good enough. So yeah, I really I really like what you've shared with us today, Martin, I'm gonna look out for one you next to your shamanic workshops as well that because they're digital, so I can I can definitely join that. So I'll join your mailing list, and then look out for that. But thank you so much for your your really applied wisdom and knowledge today. And what a great conversation you had to offer listeners. And so thank you so much. And as always listeners, there's a meditation inspired by today's show. But Martin, thank you so much. And hopefully I'll have you on the show, again, the future of you, if you like. And thank you.

Unknown Speaker  47:57
Thank you so much.

Unknown Speaker  47:58
Thank you very much, Martin. Thank you. As promised, here is your meditation, inspired by today's show. Top Tips for the meditation is either sit nice and cross legged on the floor of a nice strip back. Always nice to sit on a block or a cushion. Or that's not available for you sit in a chair with the back nice and straight. The important thing is you're not slouching. And if you're doing something that requires you concentration are you to do is just pause this and you can reconvene the meditation at a time that is good for you. If you're doing the meditation, that's begin. I thought we could do a wonderful restful meditation. And so for this meditation, you can either be lying on the floor or if you have an exceptionally strong spine and you can sit up cross legged but I suspect most people will go for the relaxation version. So lie on your back or when whatever position is comfortable for you for your particular needs. And then just going to slowly start to take some slow, calm, deep breaths. As you inhale feel as if the things of today kind of get sucked into your nostrils using your imagination here. And as you exhale, you feel as if you're just letting it all go through the nostrils. So as you inhale, the day gets sucked into your nostrils and cleansed by your lungs and as you exhale, you just let go of the day. Just keeping the bits that you want to keep in the stuff that you don't want to keep the picture that leaving your body so it's like

I'm just continuing in the moment in the presence in the being, as you breathe slowly. Don't worry, you don't have to attach to the forks, you just feel them coming into the body, cleansing in the lungs and as you exhale, you feel as if they're just all leave you in one fair thing. So you inhale through the nostrils. Pause, and then you exhale, and let everything got cleansing, letting go. And as you do this, can you feel as if the whole body also begins to completely and utterly relax down to the floor, whether that be on your back, you're lying on your side, or you're sitting cross legged edge, you just feel everything relaxing, letting go. Let go of that day's you. Bring it in through the breath. Cleanse it, and then exhale, let go of what you no longer needs. Continue. Inhale, cleanse, exhale as you let go of what you no longer need. And you can continue with that process. Feeling the inhalation, feeling the exhalation as the body just slowly comes back into the moment back into the now, as he just said, allow, allow, allow

your whole body to completely, personally
