Hello, everybody, I'm the gentle yoga warrior. Welcome to this week's podcast. So my show is gone from a little bit of metamorphosis at the moment, I have been doing it for nearly three years now. And I'm so honoured for the amazing guests and people that have had on the show. And above all my amazing listeners. Without you, I don't have a Shawn. So it's gone through a bit of a metamorphosis, I'm going to be switching it around a bit just because it feels like a natural kind of progression. And today, I want to talk to you about that magical inner stillness that we can have, you may feel like all this mindless has been revealed regurgitated many times. And there's so many people doing it. And I absolutely agree. There's so many people out there. And it's absolutely fantastic that so many people are connecting with it. But I kind of want to bring a little bit more of a fresh angle in while still kind of honouring the systems that I have been taught over the over the many years. And today, I thought let's talk about, would you call it an element, that element of snow and that kind of piece that that blanket kind of gives us so to maybe listen to this podcast, and there's no snow way you are great. I'm talking about the energy of snow and how we can kind of use that to kind of feel more still be and kind of be in the moment. So as I did not practice this morning, I looked out of my window. And there was a beautiful delicate blanket of snow. And I was just thinking, wow, I could hear it was still like 630 in the morning. But I could still hear birds like the singing it was light here. Because the the time of year is kind of winter comes into spring. And often in the UK, people get surprised when there's a bit of slow in either March or April. But sometimes that can happen. It's just kind of the seasons kind of changing over so there's a bit of yield between the two until it kind of like happens. And anyway, I was in the garden. And I just felt because it was added the fact that there wasn't so many people up at that time. But I just felt this amazing kind of love from the snow, it was just telling me after all this time of like trying to really struggle like just, ah, just let it go just that moment, you know, it's like, then the the beautiful, I've got crocus's which are kind of flower, and all the kinds of spring flowers that give the early food to the insects and those little creatures. They obviously were in that snow, but they're just kind of just being like, I'm guessing that they're not going to try and grow anymore. They're just going to kind of have that pause. And be and I just thought, yeah, that's what I really need to do my own life. And I thought I've been struggling with trying to do so many things at once. And I like to do a lot of things. It is part of my nature. But equally, you know, sometimes we kind of feel that we need to do so much. And I just thought actually, I'm just going to do a few things really well. And I'm going to work over the next few weeks on dropping things that I don't need. And the moments I forget. So maybe there won't be snow every day although we never get snow but is this something like maybe there's like water that's calm that makes you feel like that? Is it kind of seeing the sunrise, something that just makes you feel as if you can be but also relaxed because the snow kind of can restrict us or if that's our perception of it. I think it kind of elevates us because it has that it has a magical pause in the moments. And we can kind of tap into that snowy one nature of just allowing that blanket of being that blanket of having that present moment. And that is why I really wanted to share with you dear listeners today, and can you find that blanket of moment? So, can you look at the situation of your life and just think, yeah, I'm going to be completely in the moment, I'm just going to be miniscule allow what needs to unfold to unfold for by allowing that space, we can elect more of our wonderful spirit in to our very big. So we're going to do a meditation now that is inspired by the snow but like I said, if you live somewhere that there is no slow, ever, please bear with me. And if you've never seen snow, in real life, I will do my best to describe it to you. So you're going to come and sit nice and tall. As promised, here is your meditation. Top Tips for the meditation is either sit nice and cross legged on the floor of a nice straight back. Always nice to sit on a block or a cushion, or that's not available for you. You sit in a chair with a back nice and straight. The important thing is you're not slouching and if you're doing something that requires you concentration are you to do is just pause this and you can reconvene the meditation at a time that is good for you if you're doing the meditation, that's begin. So snow imagine that you're sitting around a warm campfire. But surrounded by that campfire is snow as far as the eye can see. You sit there and you remember the journey to the campfire. For you walked with your feet and the noise of the blanket of the snow that slightly crispy. Kind of soft noise as you came to be in this inner fire. This can't fire that creates warmth and heat but it'll the same time you can see your breath in the air. You can feel the coldness a little bit behind you of the snow is it kind of kind of is like this beautiful glorious fridge of present moment being just above you some delicate Snowflakes fall upon to your very being. And you have the knowledge the wisdom than ever knowing that each snowflake though collectively it looks the same has its own individual ship. No two ships are ever the same. And can you allow that beauty that nurturing energy of snow, the snow, the cold water, as it just allows you to be in the element of water which is often flowing as it becomes snow. It's the kind of soft knowing a kind of way to be free as you allow and you just go take a deep breath. Ah Just let go what it is you've been carrying, take another deep breath and you just allow it to go. Just allow that space to be in the stillness. You can be separate. That glorious blanket of snow. All those little individual shapes, connect it to make one beautiful bale crispy whites No. Don't worry about your hands and your toes for you've got the wall for this campfire. To keep you warm you can feel the gentle coolness on your back. As he turned around when you face the snow and you see into the distance as your back now is warm. You know you're not alone for you have the beauty of that snow. It lifts elevates but calms and keeps you grounded. A different kind of groundedness from when you walk on summer grass. But this is no doubt a groundedness a reminder of our unique but also come lactic relationship with mother earth. This glorious place for which we are guests on for a short space and time is glorious beauty white snow and nature still happens. Some of it's still in hibernation, some of it still as it is, but the birds they go about their business as do have a mammals that aren't hibernating and there's almost a sort of aliveness in a fresh coat of snow it kind of brings everything into perspective it's that pause moment
