Awakened Conscious Conversations
Spring's Awakening Brought By The Spring Equinox And What You Can Do To Celebrate!
The gentle shift from winter to spring mirrors our own journey of growth and renewal. Just as daylight and darkness achieve perfect balance during the spring equinox, we too are invited to find equilibrium between dreaming and doing, between rest and action.
Winter serves as our incubation period—a time when ideas germinate beneath the surface. Now, as spring emerges, those conceptual seedlings begin pushing through the soil of possibility. The Gentle Yoga Warrior shares a beautiful perspective on this transition: not every seedling will flourish into a full bloom, and that's the natural way of things. Some ideas will thrive while others serve as learning experiences, enriching the soil for future growth.
The podcast offers practical guidance for embracing this season of renewal: mindful nature walks engaging all senses, reflective journaling to clarify intentions, gratitude practices, and acts of kindness toward others. These simple rituals help us embody spring's energy—balancing outward growth with inner reflection, action with contemplation.
Whether you're experiencing spring's awakening or autumn's release in your part of the world, the equinox invites you to honour the perfect balance between doing and being. Listen now to discover how nature's wisdom can illuminate your path forward during this powerful transitional time.

Hello, dear listeners, and welcome to this spring equinox version of Awakened Conscious Conversations podcast. I'm the Gentle Yoga Warrior and as I share my words with you right now, I can see a skyline of beautiful sunshine and trees, and some buildings too. But they all make up this. But they all make up this dance of life and spring equinox. For many people think, oh, what does that even feel like? For me, what does that even mean?
Speaker 1:So spring equ, a time when the day and night become equal in length, as the Sun elegantly moves across the celestial equator, headed northwards, headed to the north, and it marks the start of spring. And what does spring bring to you? What is spring? In so many ways, sprouting the seeds. So I say, like the, the start of the year is more like the ideas phase and you can start to put things into place. But as the spring comes, it's, it's some of these little seedlings kind of start to grow up and some will grow to full flowers and some won't. And that's how life generally is anyway, won't? And that's how life generally is anyway. So, yes, we of the, the sleepy winter time, of course, as always, I know I have international listeners, so you will be experiencing something different. Where you are In Australia, I know instead it would be your autumn equinox, and if that is the case you will be shredding and letting go of things, whereas at this end it's all about new beginnings and seedlings and growing and what growth. And as we go through this bumpy terrain, because it feels like a bird trying to learn to fly for the first time, if it, if it was in a cartoon bear with me bit abstract I know, but kind of trying to take off and and not quite take it off, because it's like, oh no, one day winter wants to be a bit more, one day summer wants to be a bit more, or spring, rather rather, wants a bit more. One day it's sunny, one day it's bright sunshine, one day it's rain, one day it's hail, snow. It's kind of the forces trying to take off the winter coat and put on this spring coat, whereas you see the signs of life. I love watching all the little birds, especially the blackbirds. The little blackbirds run around looking so stressed, trying to find things for their nests and constantly going on food runs to feed their young and um, it can kind of feel like that when we're doing new ideas.
Speaker 1:There's this, this way in which we end up rushing or or procrastinating, because procrastination which I can do is a form of kind of fear, in my opinion, that a form of fear or or failure rather, and so putting things off a bit can help in a realistic way. Feel is make us feel safer, because if we don't try then we don't fail. But you know, failure is, I just like to add, just like success, failure, um, from living on this planet for a while, I think actually, sometimes our successes, um aren't always what they were meant to be, and sometimes our failures actually lead to our greatest success. But equally, when we feel like we've reached success in something, we should celebrate it and not have the fear of it, because I think there's a fear in a lot of people sometimes about being successful, as as there is a feel, a fear of failure, and hence why these things like streaming tv and things like that can kind of just like be a very easy, quick fix to kind of come out of the discomfort of of that sometimes and I suggest a new road instead when we're kind of trying to achieve or do things and we feel like, oh, could you get that moment from being with nature, especially this time of year it is so waking up, it's so full of life and I know it feeds my soul when I walk out and about in it. So can you connect with nature? And sometimes you just think, oh, I've got stuff to do and obviously, yeah, do your work and stuff, but can you sneak like 10 minutes on your lunch break just to do a round around the park there's parks most places, even if you live in the city, or your garden or something where you can just connect and be with the nature.
Speaker 1:No-transcript, of course there is like plants that we shouldn't eat or animals that we shouldn't go near and things. It's like using your common sense, but like seeing little birds singing and seeing birds take off and all the little animals. And it makes me really sad, actually when you see all the roadkill at this time of year, because there's lots of badgers about and lots of young deers and things and they don't really know their way about the world. They don't know that the motorway or freeway or whatever you call it in your country is a place of danger for them and innocently and that's sometimes the saddest part is that innocently, they've just probably just tried to cross it to get food, um. So that signifies to me how precious and short life can be because we think we're immortal and we'll be here forever. And in many ways we are immortal in many ways, but our physical body has a amount of time here on this plane and let's appreciate it and fully understand it.
Speaker 1:And you use your faith. Everyone's going to have different faiths, whether you're you're christian, you're pagan, jewish, whatever your faith is. Then do use that as a time to connect in to the spring and celebrate and have a great sense of gratitude, but then find the balance between so it was a bit more of a slumber at the start of year. This time of year, spring, is the time for a lovely hard work. But then equal balance of just being and connecting in the moment. And even if you're going through your autumn equinox, just you're a different part of the world. It's finding that balance between doing a bit less and a bit more and shredding and letting things go. So, um, they're kind of similar in many ways. It's just one's coming into winter and one's coming out of winter and just for a moment it's quite similar and alive and beauty of being alive. So what can you do yourself for this autumn equinox.
Speaker 1:My biggest tip is, if you possibly can, please go for a long or even short because again I know everyone's got different times or or short, any kind of walk that you can do in nature, but using all your senses so you're taking in all your surroundings, the smells and what there is out there. And then at the end of this walk, if you pick up your journal and just write some springy actions that you would like to take, um from this run-up from spring through to the summer, and um and what that, what it means to you, and it'll all be very individual, and I I suggest doing stream of consciousness, which is just letting it all. First of all, just letting the pen touch the paper. And it's nice to do pen and paper if you can, but if you want to do electronic, go for it, but it's just the touch of the pen and paper, even pencil, holding the wood as you, as you write, is really nice. And just do stream of consciousness to get it down onto the paper and then feel the liveness out of that, and then maybe you can pick parts out, if that's the way you want to do it.
Speaker 1:Maybe you want to do lists straight away, but these are just a few suggestions and you can really tap in to that spring energy, and then I would find a moment to sit and maybe light a candle, if you want to something that you want to do, and just sit and just think of things that you're grateful for and things that you wish to manifest and people that you're grateful for, and then do you submit kind for someone else.
Speaker 1:That day as well, we can get so wrapped up in ourself, but is there something that you're kind that you can do for someone that day? It could just even be giving a smile to someone that you feel needs a smile. All these different things that we can do, and that is how I would navigate the spring equinox in a way that feels authentic and real with the way that life is these days. So next week I do have a special guest, which I'm actually recording with them in a couple of days time and I may put that episode out earlier. If, um, if it feels the right thing to do, and if you would like to have a bit of help in this spring equinox, do go to my website, as I offer online healing sessions and also in-person shamanic healing sessions, and feel as if you can heal and be so for your meditation this week. I normally record one, but it is the journaling activity that I just shared. If you do have any questions about it, do reach out. Thank you, bye.
