When Spiritual Work Feels Stuck — What to Do Next
February’s Quiet Power: You Don't Need To Force What is Still Forming
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
February offers a different path: quiet power. We lean into the month’s subtle energy and unpack how to stop forcing outcomes and start trusting what’s forming beneath the surface. Instead of chasing momentum, we build it by stabilising our bodies, our routines, and our nervous systems.
We walk through the shift from January’s idea storm to February’s integration phase.
Since February often is associated with the heart, we explore self love as fertile soil for all relationships.
To anchor it all, we guide a three minute grounding meditation with breath, visualisation, and a calming affirmation.
If this resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs gentle momentum, and leave a quick review so others can find this grounding guide. Your support helps this community keep growing—slowly, steadily, and sustainably.

Setting The Theme And Intention
SPEAKER_00Hello everybody, I'm your host, the Gentle Yoga Warrior, and thank you for tuning in today. Today's show is going to be called I Don't Need to Force What Is Forming and it is inspired by the very close up-in-coming month of February. But if you happen to be listening to this and it's not the month of February, there's still some amazing value to be had. So I'm a little bit late in bringing this podcast to you this week. I had a wonderful guest lined up, but unfortunately, they couldn't make it. Life happens and no hard feelings. But it made me go back to the drawing board because I like to record my shows kind of very close to when I release them because it feels more connected to me to do it that way. I know some other hosts do it a different way, and that works perfectly well for them. But for me, this works best. So I was racking my brains in a way that I was thinking, how can I give you dear listener the best value? And interesting, I'm going to digress a little bit bit, it will connect back. So where I am, there's quite bad floods at the moment, and when I look out my window, it is water at the bottom of the town. Luckily, I'm on a hill. Not that I do feel for anyone that's affected by it, but also luckily it seems to be only the fields that are flooded at the moment. So that is good news in a sense that no one's home is flooded. Anyway so there has been a lot of rain, and so it's kind of been out of our control. Because at this time of year here, it's a time when it does start
Weather, Floods, And Letting Go Of Control
SPEAKER_00to rain a lot because we are coming into the energy of February, and February energy, it's a little bit different to January because January can feel quite harsh for some people. But February's energy is not like a massive loud energy, but it's is it is it's a subtle energy in many ways, but it is a whisper, but with some power, if that makes sense. So if you're willing to still be slow uh at this time of year and listen a bit more, we can harness some surprising powerful benefits. And so, whether you're resting, folding laundry, walking, whatever you do, let's take a nice deep breath. Remembering there's nothing to fix, we don't need to force life, we just need space to notice what's happening in life. So I feel February sits in an interesting place energetically in the air. So we've left the ideas of the new beginners in January. But if you hear my previous podcast when I talk about New Year's resolutions, January is not the time to
February’s Subtle Energy Explained
SPEAKER_00do big things. January is the time to be jotting down ideas. February is a liminal month, so it's an in-between month between now and spring in this hemisphere. It might be an in-between month between autumn and winter if you're living in a different hemisphere. And nature, at this time, the seeds are starting to kind of take root under the ground, and some brave seeds like daffodils and snowdrops may have come to the surface. So holistically, I feel the energy of this time is about gathering quietly and starting to put it into place, those ideas that you have had in January, but in a really subtle way. So think less pressure, more self-care, more integration, and just gently recalibrating our being. So it's not about pushing but more about stabilizing. And I think stabilizing is a really good word to tap into this time of the month. We can still feel quite sensitive at this time of year. I noticed for the first time at five o'clock yesterday there was still there was actually light, so we are starting to get a little bit lighter, but there's still not a lot of light, and we're still tired perhaps. Or maybe the nights are starting to come in in your hemisphere. So February offers a time to reset our nervous
From Ideas To Gentle Integration
SPEAKER_00system and come out of that fatigue of winter. And I really feel it's a time to find some solitary time as well to kind of be back in our body. February, feel a bit see it as a slow burning month where metaphorically you've lit a long fuse, but it's just slowly burning along to what you're trying to achieve. Does it feel to you whatever you're trying to choose, does it feel sustainable with the energy that you're you've got? Does it feel in alignment with how you feel? Do you need to do any further adjustment adjustments or tweaks to kind of make it feel more in line with your body? So the clarity that we may be able to cultivate this month is subtle in a sense like tuning into our body, just feeling what feels good, having motivation, but motivation comes from willpower, but deciding what is the right willpower to have. So a little bit of movement, perhaps, instead of drastic things you can't substain. So it's still a good time to get some early nights in. Start having some more fewer commitments than you would say in spring, but some commitments that you can sustain, and feeling how you feel inside. So maybe old stuff might come up like disappointment, grief, etc. Um, journaling to help release any feel sense of overwhelmment. Get a pen and paper and write for 10 minutes a day. Not
Sustainable Steps And Nervous System Reset
SPEAKER_00saying that you shouldn't do stuff, but what is the simplest version of what I can do today to still feel nourished and to achieve what I want? Eat well. So those nice winter stews or salads if you're in a warmer part, stay hydrated, and I really think feel like you're rooted to the ground. So lots of things that make you feel grounded, like country walks, yoga, or whatever it is that you do. Some people by running, and of course, February is connected with the energy of love and the heart. So, how can you find that love within yourself so that you can share that love with other people? And what loving acts can you do today to help somebody that you may love? Remember, love grows best when it is cultivated in a warm and caring place. So that warm and caring place can be your inner being. What do you feel that is quietly cultivating within you that can spring into life this March? Let's leave you with a three-minute February grounding meditation. Top tips for the meditation is either sit nice and cross-legged on the floor with a nice straight back, always nice to sit on a block or a cushion, or that's not available for you. You sit in a chair with the back nice

SPEAKER_00and straight. The important thing is you're not slouching. And if you're doing something that requires little concentration, all you need to do is just pause this and you can reconvene the meditation at a time that is good for you. If you're doing the meditation, let's begin. So as you take a slow deep breath in your nose and a slow exhalation, even through the nose of the mouth, think slow and gentle, not forced. Be aware of how you're supported by the ground. Imagine gravity's doing the work for you. Nothing to
Three Minute Grounding Meditation
SPEAKER_00do but simply be. Now bring awareness to the breath. Inhale, exhale, that gentle tide of the breath like a wave. Slow and controlled.
SPEAKER_01And before we move on to the next part, let's just do this for another minute.
SPEAKER_00Maybe it looks like a sunrise early winter morning or summer morning, depending where you are. The winter soil resting softly beneath, or a calm open field. There's no rush. Imagine the roots growing gently from your body into the ground, always there to help you feel relaxed, centered, and getting back to the theme of this podcast. I do not need to force what is still forming. I do not need to force what is still forming. Let the words settle for a few moments. Notice the warm breath, the quiet rhythm. Trusting the timing of your becoming. Take a long deep breath. Feel your body. Gently open your eyes, and you can carry this February energy into your day. So no need to bloom, just root and be in preparation.
