When the Goal is Gone: Rebuilding Discipline and Finding Yourself Again
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
For years, I only knew how to be disciplined if there was a finish line in sight — a game, a pageant, a vacation. But when the those seasons of my life ended, so did my routines. And somewhere after those things were over, I lost myself. Not intentionally, but simply because I didn't have anything to work towards anymore. I neglected my health, my joy, my self care — all because I didn’t have a “reason” to take care of me.
In this episode, I’m opening up about what it’s like to lose your identity in the absence of a goal, the slow unraveling of self-discipline, and the dangerous trap of only showing up for yourself when there’s something to prove. Together, we’ll talk about rebuilding from the inside out — learning how to care for yourself consistently, not for a deadline, but for a lifetime.
