BIO:

Carolyne Whelan is the former editor-in-chief at Adventure Cyclist and Dirt Rag, and the current editorial director for Overland Expo. She is the founder at Forward Motion Coaching and Retreats, where she works with writers to break through writer's block and feel empowered with the skills of purposeful self-editing. She's spent years as an instructor working with college and graduate students and even high schoolers. She's helped over 500 writers hone their craft, understand the world of publishing, and have fun writing. She has a BA and an MFA in Creative Writing, and brings an empathetic touch to her coaching style. She lives in Montana with her partner and their dogs, and when she isn't writing, editing, or coaching can be typically found in the woods with mud in her hair.
