Over the past 15 years, I have been told repeatedly, rj, the reason why you're able to achieve the results that you are is because of your consistency, and at first, I was slightly offended by this statement made by either friends or family members, or even colleagues, but I realized over the course of time that it was one of the greatest compliments that anyone could ever give you. And the reason why is because the majority of people are already consistent. It's just whether or not you make the decision to be consistent, to move toward your goals, or if you are consistently reviewer, consistently avoiding achieving the results that you want. I have a saying consistent as a tree. Now, I came up with this saying a couple of years ago and I don't know if I actually came up with it or if I heard it somewhere else and I stole it. When I look it up, there was a book written in 2023 called Consistent as a Tree. When I look it up and I google search it, there are sayings around consistent as a tree, but I'm just gonna say I'm claiming it. I came up with this saying because I'm the only person that I know that uses it as frequently as I do every single person that comes inside of titanium university, I tell them you need to watch the mindset modules, the core fundamentals of what we have built our organization on, and one of them is consistent as a tree.

Speaker 1:

And what do I mean by that saying consistent as a tree? That I've had in my head is that we want our business to grow in the same growth pattern as a tree. We don't want to grow as all the other little pretty flowers in the garden, the ones that come and go, the ones that, if you have them in your yard, you have to worry about them. You have to take care of them. See trees, you don. You have to worry about them, you have to take care of them. See trees, you don't really have to worry about them. Why? Because they have a strong foundation, the root systems. They start with a seed, just like any other plant out there, but they grow and they consistently grow and they live longer and, honestly, more often than not, you don't even notice the trees growing. It just it is constantly growing and it ends up being the biggest plant out of all of them. That's what I want my business to look like. I don't really want people to see the ups and then the downs. I just want to see them going. Look at that overnight success. Even though we've been an entrepreneur for the past 15 years, sometimes it feels that way. So in today's episode I want to talk about how can you grow to become more consistent. And the first thing I kind of slightly touched on it, but I want to dive a little bit deeper into this.

Speaker 1:

You are probably already consistent in your life. You probably consistently do the same things when you wake up in the morning and when you get ready for the day. Maybe you're consistently on your phone and you're constantly swiping through social media, having that imposter syndrome, comparing yourself to everyone, losing all the joy that you have for life. Maybe you're consistently avoiding taking that action that is necessary. This is where you have to make a decision that, moving forward, the consistency that you already have in your life you're going to change to achieve the goals that you've set out for yourself, wherever that is in your journey. Maybe you're brand new and you want to start wholesaling.

Speaker 1:

You have to set a goal for yourself. What is that? One goal a month? Have to set a goal for yourself. What is that? One goal a month? Get a goal or get a deal this year, whatever that looks like. Set an achievable goal. One of the things that I've done for myself is breaking down whatever goal I want to achieve today. I think if you could do that, if you can set an achievable goal every single day, that will then inevitably get you to a massive, much larger goal in the future. When you set a daily goal for yourself, the other thing that happens is you force yourself into daily action in order to achieve said goal. This allows you to become more consistent. Make sure that, whatever that is, you are going to be able to follow through with the actions necessary. What I mean by that is, if you have a W-2 and you say I want to do a deal a day, but you know there's going to be days where you're not going to be able to pick the phone up and call sellers, don't set a goal to do a deal a day. It has to be achievable, because one of the things that can kill consistency is the loss of morale and realizing this isn't going to work. I don't have the time, I don't have the bandwidth, I don't have the resources necessary to achieve said goal. So make sure you set a goal that is achievable.

Speaker 1:

Once you have that goal in mind, I want you to put together a plan and identify the most important task that you need to take every single day to achieve that goal, whatever that item is. This is very important. When we onboard people inside of Titanium University, we give them hey, there's certain modules that we want you to watch coming and underwriting, acquisitions, mindset but what I don't want you to do is get lost into watching the transaction coordination and the dispositions modules. If you're still at the point where you're not having consistent lead generation and acquisitions and you don't even have a property under contract, why would you watch a dispositions module? See, this is where people get lost, where it's like, hey, I'm going to do this task and it's going to move me closer to my goal, but it can also cost you time and the opportunity to actually achieve the goal. And again, what happens when we don't achieve our goal? We lose that morale, we lose the energy and the zest for going out and being consistent. This is one of the things that can really kill your consistency on a daily basis.

Speaker 1:

So make sure that you are prioritizing your task and you're doing the most important task every single day. For us that are wholesalers. I can tell you, the most important task that you can do every single day is picking the phone up and calling a motivated seller making an offer and sending a contract. That should be the most important task that you're prioritizing every single day. Now, once you have your tasks and your goals, you now need to set a daily and weekly routine where you know what you are going to do on Mondays. For example, I know for a fact I'm not going to be calling motivated sellers on Tuesdays at 2.22 pm. I'm not going to do a titanium university implementation call because I'm going to be live on YouTube. That is a habit, it is a routine Every single Tuesday at 2.22, I'm going to be live, and I have many of those examples where that is a habit. At this point, you need to make sure that you are creating a routine for yourself that you can live by.

And here's the thing Consistency is boring, it's not meant to be exciting and it's fresh and oh, there's all these new things. The money is made in being boring and mundane and doing the necessary tasks over and over and over again, to the point where you become an expert and then you can delegate those tasks out to the people that you hire underneath you. But you have to become the expert in those tasks. And how do you do that? Consistency, becoming great at what you're doing and understanding, backwards and forwards, exactly what is necessary to achieve the goal that you set out for yourself.

Now the next thing that you need to focus on after you have identified hey, this is going to be my routine make sure that you have an environment that allows you to actually do the things that are necessary. Okay, I talk about this all the time. I love my environment, I love my office, I love my little setup. I wouldn't change it for the world. You can give me the fanciest office out there and I would say this is where this is my happy place. This is where I create the magic. I love my atmosphere. Why? Because one, it eliminates distractions.

Speaker 1:

Now, for you, your atmosphere might not be the distraction, but if it is, you have to find a way to create an atmosphere that those distractions go away. Many of you nowadays are struggling with the fact that the distraction is the thing that I'm asking you to pick up and use to call motivated sellers the phone. It's absolutely a problem. Social media you're watching this video right now on social media Facts. Are you watching this video is probably a distraction from the task that you should be completing. That's okay, you're here, you can go ahead and finish it. Make sure you like the video in the meantime. That being said, you need to limit as many distractions as possible. Be in an atmosphere that allows you to be as productive as possible.

Speaker 1:

Now, once you've done that, you start taking those actions and creating that routine and eliminating the distractions. You need to track the results, go back and look at it and say, hey, I'm being consistent, but am I actually generating the results that I need to achieve the goal? This is the key with consistency. Sometimes we do things consistently and we feel good about ourselves, but it's not getting us to the goal. Maybe the goal that you set for yourself was not attainable. Maybe the necessary task, the routine that you set for yourself, does not match up and allow you to achieve said goal. So, track those results, tweak where you need to and make sure that it's actually attainable At the end of the day. You guys need to look at yourself and realize actually, look at what you do Monday through Sunday and ask yourself am I consistent? Do I pretty much do the same thing every Monday and every Tuesday, so on and so forth. If so, and you're not getting the results that you want, you're already consistent as a tree. You just need to change those actions to the things that are necessary to achieve the goals that you want for yourself. And it sounds easy, because it actually is.

See, I looked at our health and fitness journey that we started last February and at the time I wasn't eating healthy, I wasn't working out, I was consistently eating poorly and not working out. What did I have to change? Well, eat different. Okay, I still eat at the same times. I still eat food. It was just different food, all right. And then I carved out one little different habit, one little routine go work out, do this workout, carve that time out. I put that in, consistently showed up. Results changed. I was already consistently doing something, changed it and the results changed.

Speaker 1:

It can be as simple as that. I like to simplify everything in my life. That's how I mentally overcome oh my goodness, I'm fat and I have to go lose all this weight. No, you don't. You just need to eat different and work out. If you do that, the results will change. It's the same thing inside of your business. So wake up and decide. I'm now going to be consistent as a tree but to achieve my goals, have a new routine. I'm going to avoid the distractions that take me away from those. I'm going to track my results. If you do that, one day you might be offended in the fact that someone says you sure are consistent. What an overnight success. Let me know what you guys think in the comments.
