SPEAKER_02:

I'm about to share a video with you guys that explains exactly why we started Titanium University. It's about making a difference in people's lives. Last April, a woman by the name of Candy Munson Lake joined Titanium University. She was a part of our 15th class, the Batgammon class. And I I don't want to take anything away from her story because she shares parts of it. But there was a lot going on in her life. And she runs her wholesaling business with her son. She has showed up day in, day out to our implementation calls, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, with her camera on. She asked questions. She was shy by nature early on, but she would ask questions. She would submit call reviews, and she became a part of the community of Titanium University. Last October, she came to Element 22. I got to meet her and her son in person. She is an incredible human being. Every single time we onboard a new class, the Titanium University, I tell them it's not about doing deals. Doing deals by nature is just what you are going to do because now you are titanium, and that's what we do. But the importance of doing the deals is the lives that it impacts, including your own, and gives you the opportunity to be able to create your own reality and to see Candy now put in the work and the effort and to develop skill sets to now be in the position where she's starting to be able to create her own reality through all the trials, through all the tribulations that she's had. And like OG member Jason Strickland, better known to the TU family as Bobby Frost Jr. Yes. Why didn't you give up? Why didn't you quit? Why didn't you push this off to the side like so many other people? What pushed you through? And I don't want to steal away what Candy says. I'll let her explain that to him. But her answer makes me so entirely proud to be leading this community to be able to make the impact on Candy's life to where she feels at home and she sees the path moving forward. That is why we started Titanium University. We always wanted to give back. We always wanted to make a difference in people's lives that wanted to change the trajectory of their life through wholesaling real estate, just like we were able to do back in 2014. When we stared at this great opportunity and we said, if there was just someone out there that could point us in the right direction, I promise you we'll work our ass off. I promise you we'll go out there and we'll figure it out. That's exactly what Candy needed, and she found it inside of TU. That makes me so entirely proud of you, Candy. I love you. I am proud of you. Thank you for sharing this. You didn't have to, but I am so proud of seeing your growth and your effort. And I'm so proud to have you as a member of the Titanium University family. So without any more rambling by me, enjoy this impromptu testimonial during an implementation call for Titanium Titanium University from Candy Munson Lake.

SPEAKER_00:

You closed the deal this week, yeah? Yeah, closing funded yesterday. Well, it closed on Friday funded yesterday. So yay.

SPEAKER_01:

I love it.

SPEAKER_00:

You know what? Let me, I will say this, Cassie. So I kind of got into wholesaling um earlier in the year. Just uh my my son had been introduced to it, and I thought it would be a nice pivot for me from the insurance industry. And anyway, what I have found is, and I'm almost afraid to say this, it's almost kind of weird to say, I'm kind of loving this. This is actually this is actually kind of fun. I love talking to the sellers. I am really connecting with them, feeling lots of gratitude and fulfillment with helping them with their situations. And the learning is enormous. And I just love that my mind is being challenged and my solution solving skills are being tested, and that we're amongst such a great community of people who are willing to help and give and share and be vulnerable. And it's like I could see myself doing this for a while. This is and the money's pretty good too.

SPEAKER_01:

I love that. I ooh, I literally have goose thumbs right now, Candy. I really do. Um, I love hearing this. Um, you I'll I'll say a few things. When you're building something and you're an entrepreneur, it is challenging in such a beautiful and wonderful way, you know. Um when you're doing something together with people that you're aligned with, that are like-minded, that you can win with, it is so fulfilling in such a beautiful and wonderful way. Whether it is with that seller, the buyer, I know you're not doing dispo, but um, I love that as well. I love this business for the same reasons. Um, and this is a huge reason. This is one of the, if not the main factor as to why RJ and I eventually gave in and decided that we were gonna start coaching, mentoring, whatever, teaching, whatever you want to call this, building, you know, even even in our boot camps, you know, it was to say, hey, we we do this, we're successful, we do it in the right way, we see these other people out here not really having the best interests of their customer, client, mentee, whatever you want to call it, students, what up, members, whatever you all of all of the above. Like, do they really have that in their best interest in mind, right? And like, why are they teaching this, or why are they teaching it the wrong way, or why are they not willing to go the extra mile? And like, this is what we we love doing the boot camps, and we did make a lot of difference. But what we didn't love about that was like this just continued space. Can you even imagine if we didn't have the continued space, much less all of yeah, we do we could do a lot more for as long as we can do this than we can in a two-day boot camp.

SPEAKER_00:

Yeah, people would fall off very easily. You know, let me tell you, I had an aha moment to over the holidays because um my family and I, including my son, who's my partner in this business, um, we went on a vacation, right? Had two deals under contract when we left, and it was the coolest thing. You know, I I know you went through the thing with your mom, and you all came back and talked about how things were handled and you were able to go do what you needed to do with your mom. It was like it was the neatest feeling. Shout out to the dispo houses within TU. I mean, especially once you find, you know, one or two or three that that that you have the relationship with and and you trust, and they, you know, try, you know, there's that trust. It it's like it's it's nice to be able to, on the acquisition side, just get to work, bring the deals, and and know that you've got people on the other side that are working hard for you to get it to the finish line.

SPEAKER_03:

Hey, Candy, I want to ask you a follow up question about what you were talking about earlier. Um I've seen this for weeks. Now the brightness in your smile, the brightness in your spirit, the brightness in your eyes, you've really created your own reality. As we emphasize it on mid 22. Um, so I just said you're excited about calling slides. I remember going implementation call after call, office hours after office hours with you with your camera on. I remember wondering what was going on. I saw a woman whose bra was so furrowed and shoulders were not only slumped, but tense at the same time. I couldn't tell if I was watching someone looking for a reason to quit or someone who was going through a grind that should never give up on. I swear I can hear it in your voice that your your mind's renewed and that your spirit's reborn. It's it's really awesome to behold. So, my follow-up question for you, Candy, is just when you decide to change your relationship with TU all those weeks ago and not just be vulnerable and committed, but to take steady action day after day after day when it wasn't comfortable and wasn't making sense. When you change yourself along the way, what do you remember about that? Please tell me, not just for my sake, but for the newer people who are in that that place you once were that you pushed past already.

SPEAKER_00:

You know, okay, and Jason Bobby Frost Jr., I might start to cry again. When I came into TU, there was a a lot going on in my life. There, my I was taking care of my sister who was dying of cancer. She passed away. My brother passed away three weeks later. I had nieces and nephews to take care of. There was a lot. There was a lot going on. And there was, and I I just had that part just had to pass to allow me to truly integrate myself with in TU. I knew it was important though to be on the implementation calls basically no matter what, to to jump in on StreamYards whenever to be in office hours. So whenever I could, because I could tell what TU was, I could tell who Cassie and RJ were, I could tell what this community was was becoming and and offered. And I and so I understood the opportunity, I I think well enough to the quitting, never entered my mind. Never ever. Especially once I started to understand the conversations and what we were doing for people and the income potential too. That that has something, but uh to do with it for me, it wasn't ever about quitting, it was about allowing my life to settle down long enough to be able to focus in and to to really start to enjoy the journey of Tu and wholesaling. And I still haven't and and and also to find my my place because I get overwhelmed very easily, and there's a lot of things going on in tu, a lot of good stuff going on in tu. I mean, really, really good stuff. But if I try to be in it all, I will just be an overwhelm and I will um I'll freeze. And so I had to understand how to make Tu work for me too. And but I'll I'll do say this, and this was really important. I did have to force myself into commenting, into asking questions, into integrating myself, showing up at element 22, and and starting to feel like I was a part of the community, not just on the outside looking in. And that was really, really important as well. So there's been a lot of things happening simultaneously. Um yeah, and and the future does feel really bright.

SPEAKER_03:

So I want to sincerely thank you for sharing that. That was that was wonderful. I if you don't mind, just one more question. Sure. When you had so much life coming at you that so many people would have stepped away entirely and said, Oh, I'll get back to it later. And you chose not to, and you were forcing yourself to ask questions even when you weren't comfortable doing that. Like why was it so important to you to not let that slip away? And then what has the what do you feel like the biggest impact on you and your son has been because you made that decision and you took those actions?

SPEAKER_00:

So, you know, the other thing that happened during that time too was my husband and I decided we're not gonna build a house in San Antonio and we're gonna relocate back to Dallas. And that was a that was a big, big, big decision. So we've been house hunting and stuff all along the way, uh, too. So that has thrown an another kink in it. For me, just knowing that tu in the wholesaling business is it, it's it's like I saw it, uh, I started to appreciate the people, understanding the hearts, the the generosity, the giving, the depth of knowledge is crazy. Um, and just the the willingness to help people succeed. And and the wholesaling business is very interesting to me. It it you can continue growing in it. And if you want to venture into investing in other ways, you can too. But I just think Jason, just recognizing that this is an incredible opportunity. This is this is this can help me achieve the things that I've been wanting to achieve for a while, and I can do it and feel fulfilled, I can feel challenged, I can feel part of a community. Just all the things that I think that people are looking for. It was like, oh, it's all in one place. This is cool, you know? And so, yeah, there hasn't been a part of me, okay, because guys, I have like shiny, what is it, shiny object syndrome, and I have joined things, and then two weeks later I'm looking for something else, and then three weeks later because something's just not right. Just something's just not right. I have been so at peace and so settled since I've come here. And so just that knowing that I'm in the right place.

SPEAKER_03:

Thank you, Kenny. Thank you for letting me and so many others be a part of your life. Mr. Thanks for you and your family.

SPEAKER_00:

Thank you.
