TU Becomes More Than Training
SPEAKER_01People come into Titanium University for education about wholesaling real estate. And then after being there for about two to three weeks, they realize that's really not what they paid for. What they actually paid for was a new family, a new community that actually probably cares about their results more than they probably did at the beginning of their journey. And that's crazy to think about. But I'm gonna share a video here with you guys in a second from this past Monday's implementation call. So this was a private call, to members only. I asked for permission from the members that I could share this publicly because I want to show you guys the love and the concern and what actually takes place inside of TU. And this was built off of the leadership of the members. Yeah, me and Cassie and Nick and the whole titanium team. We said we wanted this, but it wouldn't have become a reality if it wasn't for people like JW. If it wasn't for people like Jason. And those are two of the beautiful people that are going to be on this video. But it's about Christopher Gomez closing and funding his first ever deal. Now, the story with Chris and his wife Julissa is they've been with us for a very long time. We've actually known them going even further back to previous events that we went and spoke at down in San Antonio. We've known them for years. But a lot of things have happened in life. Not everybody's journey looks the exact same. They had a baby. Chris works a full-time W-2. He's busy. There's time constraints. He has a story as to why this hasn't worked until now. Now he has that proof of concept. Now he has that first ever close and funded deal. And so we start off the implementation calls. Everybody share a win. And Chris comes on and he shares that he closed it bunded his first ever wholesale transaction. Fantastic. We're all happy. He shares about it. 20 minutes passes on the implementation call because Jason Strickland, better known as Bobby Frost Jr., inside of the TU community, he raises his hand. He has to wait his turn. Other people went in, they shared their wins. They asked their questions. And when it gets to Jason, Jason doesn't have a question about himself. He has a question about Mr. Gomez. He wants to know more about what that win, what that victory meant for him, and what was his reaction. And he pulls something out of Christopher Gomez. And because he does that, we then find out about this beautiful hidden leadership inside of TU that I could have never asked for. I could have never gone to JW and said, I need you to be this leader. He just chose to do it. I've known JW for two and a half years. First time I ever met JW, I told him, Shut up, man, you're way too fucking loud. For whatever reason, that's made him a part of the family ever since. And he's loved to you. He's loved the vision behind it. And he's become one of those people that has made it so special. And he shares about this conversation that he had with Christopher Gomez that basically told Christopher Gomez, shit or get off the pot, man. Either you're going to make wholesaling a reality, you're going to do something with it, or you need to stop not spending time with your wife and your kid because you're kidding yourself, not getting results. Are you going to get serious about this or are you not? I didn't know that conversation happened. I didn't ask JW to have that conversation. And what's funny about it is neither did Christopher Gomez. And I don't even know if Jason Strickland knew about that conversation. It's the beautiful thing about this community. The different personality types. You'll see me talk, give my takeaway, my feelings about Christopher closing, funding his first deal. You'll see Jason in full closers formula mode, all about the questions. Tell me, explain me about explain it more in detail. I don't quite understand what it meant to you. Pulling more out of Christopher, and then that leading the JW, sharing that beautiful moment. I wanted to share this with you guys because if you're not surrounding yourself with people like Jason and JW, it's going to be really hard on your journey when things don't go right. When you don't have someone like Jason say, tell me more about what this meant. Because those moments move you to emotion. They make you actually think about what that moment meant for you. And to share that. To have someone like JW to sit there and look at you and care about you to say, you've got to make a choice on whether or not you're going to make wholesaling a reality so you can get out of that W-2, so you can have your time with your wife and kids, or you need to give up on this. Those are hard words to say. It's a hard question to ask that Jason asks. It's awkward. Most people don't do it. That's what makes Jason special. That's what makes JW special, is the fact that he cared about Christopher Gomez. That's a family. That's a community coming together and lifting each other up and caring more about each other than just themselves. So I wanted to share this moment with you guys. Because if you're not inside of TU and you're not having those kind of conversations with people inside of your own industry that understand what you're going through, understand the craziness of being an entrepreneur, it's going to be a very, very lonely place. To these three individuals. Christopher, could not be more proud of you, man. I know what this moment means for you. I want you to know that when I've been hard on you, it wasn't easy because you're so dry with your personality, you don't really react. You don't get overly hyped and you don't get overly sad. And so it's really hard sometimes to be hard on somebody. I hope that made a difference. To Jason, man, to you wouldn't be the same without you. I think this is like the third or fourth video that I've shared of you creating a moment inside of an implementation call. Don't ever change who you are. And JW, man, you just wanted to figure out how you could go from being a car salesman to becoming a wholesaler. Somehow you became a successful real estate investor to a leader inside of a community, to someone that is so well respected across this world now because of what you do for the TU community. I love all three of you guys. I don't normally get emotional during my YouTube videos, but man, special moments by special people. So thank you guys. Enjoy this moment when the TU implementation call. If you're not inside of TU and you watch this, you really gotta start asking yourself, why are you not here? What are you waiting on? It's not for the education. You get the education just by watching these videos. It's about this. Having a relationship with a JW, a Jason Strickland, all of the other TU leaders. Come be a part of the family. Uh Chris, go ahead.
SPEAKER_03Yes, sir. Yeah, so uh two big wins last week. I uh got my first closing funded, and then Saturday was able to lock a sub sub to you property in Pennsylvania with uh Jesse Barco.
SPEAKER_01So did you just say you got your first close and funded?
SPEAKER_03Yes, sir.
SPEAKER_01Man, that is awesome. That is on I know you've been grinding away, man. That that is that is fantastic. You make some money on it?
SPEAKER_03Amazing. Yes, I did. Um, I mean, not a whole lot, but you know, 1k is better than no K.
SPEAKER_01Yes, sir. Well, hopefully you can carry that over and and carry that momentum, like what Kathy's talking about. That's part of the reason why we love doing these competitions, is so you can start surrounding yourself with that constant energy of of wins and and seeing the the posts inside the group, you kind of start expecting it a little bit. Where it's like, well, if everybody else is doing it, I mean, surely I can go out there and do it too. So good job, man. You have you've been grinding away. Um, this is uh hopefully that that massive inflection point for you where this becomes the norm. So congratulations, brother.
Jason Digs For The Emotion
SPEAKER_03Yes, sir. Appreciate it. And big shout out to uh Mr. House Dispo team. Alex was amazing on the dispo site. So shout out to them.
SPEAKER_02Love it, man. And Chris Gomez, I'm inspired by RJ's song for Library Rose about choices. I don't really want to hear, although I'm glad you got the compliment from him about what he hopes this means to you to close in fun of the first one. I really want to hear from you. What does it mean to you, man? Tell me what it means.
SPEAKER_01Well, I I think for me, the the the moment for Chris is seeing how long this has been, and it's easy for me to sit here and say, you know, all of us are running our own race, and you don't know when the victories are gonna come, but you have to sit there and develop skill sets, you have to put in the reps, you have to keep going because otherwise you're gonna look back and say, what was everything that I just did in the past? What was it for if I just give up on it? And and Chris has somehow, some way found a way to continue to show up, despite the fact that I mean, I've I've brutally kicked him in the teeth during call reviews. Um, you know, people have tried to pick him up, speak encouragement to him, leads. I mean, there's there's been so many different moments that Chris has had along the way. I I think it's one of the coolest moments for me just to see that that actually happened because now the the proof of concept is there. I've known Chris and Julissa for a very long time, and and I I know part of their their journey, they've been trying to figure this out while working W-2s, while having kids. I mean, it's it's never easy. Everybody's got a story, and I think it's really cool to see that that Chris didn't let his story become his excuse. And so it's uh it's it means a lot to me. It means a lot every time anybody wins. Um, it means a lot when I see somebody go for as long as he's gone to get to this win, because it means he really wants this. It actually means a lot more to me than somebody comes in and it's like they get a win right out of the gates. Because then it's almost kind of like, was it too easy? Do you are you gonna get disappointed when when you feel like it it's not as easy as you thought it was? I actually like the fact that Chris is at the point now because he probably got this result off of skill and not luck. He had to develop this. Um I I even fall victim to it sometimes. I mean, there there's definitely been moments in other things where I've I've looked and I've said, I don't understand how someone that's put out 10% of the videos that have put out has 300,000 subscribers on YouTube. How do I not have that? How have I never had something go viral? I mean, Jerry is inside of TU. I've I've literally pulled Jordan into my office, pulled Cassie, had Nick on Zoom, and I'm like, how has Jerry Norton gone viral with these videos? Like, he has a million views on this. It's a seller call. I have a thousand seller calls, and none of them have gone viral. What are we missing? Like, is it the name? Is it the thumbnail? Is it just pure luck? Why are we not lucky? You know, and we all feel that way. It's human nature. And so I'm sure Chris has kind of felt that way for a while, where it's like, why haven't I just called a seller and they say, I just want to give it away for free? I just a thousand dollars, you know, just take it away from my my life. And now he's actually got that result and that proof of concept. Sure, it feels great to him, and and it'll definitely be something that that sticks for me with me for a while because I've seen everything that he's gone through to get to this point.
SPEAKER_02Should we ask him?
SPEAKER_01What he said. Yeah, Jason, I don't know if you know or not. This is uh Chris Gomez. Um, I I think what we got is what we're gonna get.
SPEAKER_02So nah, I've seen a tweak from his eye late at night with uh with Claude. I think Chris has got something to say. I mean, prove me wrong if you want, Chris, but I think RG wants to hear it. I know I do.
SPEAKER_03No, I mean it was it it was definitely a crucial moment um in a big stepping stone, no matter I mean how small the assignment fee or how big it was. Just having that proof of concept is just something that I was um fighting for. Um and just staying adamant about, you know, if somebody else can do it, I know I can. Uh, like RJ said, it might take me a little bit longer, but you know, I got it done. Now we just gotta keep the momentum going and get more contracts under my build and more closed and funded as well.
SPEAKER_02No, no, no, I'm not buying it. You said crucial moment, you said fighting for it. Did you like print it out and run around the neighborhood half naked, yelling at everybody that I did it? I fucking did it. Christian wins. Like, what are we talking about here fighting crucial moment? What did it feel like? What did you do?
SPEAKER_03I definitely cried a little bit, but I couldn't run out screaming because uh my kid was asleep. I didn't want to wake him up, but uh, but yeah, it was I I did I did cry a little bit, yeah. Oh, you're telling me it felt so good.
SPEAKER_02You leaked from the eyes and you looked over your son's sleeping shared self and shared that moment with him. That's incredible, dude.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and then give a big old kiss to my wife. Big old kiss to the wife. Oh, Jalissa got one platinum on her.
JW Delivers The Hard Challenge
SPEAKER_00Oh, yes. Hey Chris, this is J Dub.
SPEAKER_03Hey J Dub.
SPEAKER_00Can I ask you a uh can I put you on the spot?
SPEAKER_03Uh yeah, sure.
SPEAKER_00You I think you know what this is about, right? Maybe.
SPEAKER_03Maybe okay.
SPEAKER_00Um, I just did the our conversation, did my challenge to you have any bearing on that?
SPEAKER_03Yes.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03Yes, it did.
SPEAKER_00I was hoping that was for good, so um, I haven't had a chance to reach out to you. But since we were talking about it and you were in the hot seat, I just wanted to uh just wanted to check on that.
SPEAKER_03No, I appreciate it, JW.
SPEAKER_00But having this conversation that somebody tell us, yeah, tell us more, JW. What did you say to us? What was the challenge? Well, Chris, I mean, I'm gonna I'm gonna leave that up to Chris. I I'll share. Um, or Chris, you can share. You you tell me how you want to do it.
SPEAKER_03You you can share because I'm at work.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Um I I don't even remember how we were on the phone or what where where it all started, but I just told him um the amount of time that this takes, he really needs to figure out if he's committed or not. And if he is, he needs to really cut out the carve out the time um to be to take that commitment on because the time that he's spending away from his wife and away from his kid, if he's not gonna take it serious, then he just needs to stop. Um, I think that's it. It was a little bit longer than that. It was a longer conversation than that, but that was um that was the gist of it. Would you agree with that, Chris?
SPEAKER_03Yes, sir.
Leadership Lessons And Gratitude
SPEAKER_01Well, what a beautiful day. The win, um Bobby Frost always coming in, making sure that we tell everybody everything. And then JW with your leadership being here since day one. I I was sitting outside of Cassie's uh office on Friday watching March Madness for like the last five minutes of the implementation call, and I heard her say to JW, like, you're gonna be a leader no matter what. As long as you keep showing up, JW, you're gonna be a leader here. Um and and to see somebody like Chris one take that feedback and actually do something with it, right? I mean, that that's that's the beautiful thing about this is when somebody challenges you to like, hey, are you for real? Are you really gonna go do this? I mean, I I'll be honest with you, I I I said this to the the uh the JV teams. I said, listen, you know, it's one thing for for RJ and Cassie to say it because it's expected for us to say it. But when other people stand up and say the same things, a lot of times it has more of an impact. I think JW saying that right there probably meant a lot to Chris because it's like JW doesn't have to say this to me. Like, I didn't swipe my card and pay JW to be my mentor and tell me the things that I don't want. That's actually just somebody caring about me. I should probably listen. That's a beautiful thing about this this community because there's so many different people here. And no matter where you are in your journey, you need to understand that there's there's different uh levels to this, and each and every one of you should aspire to be the next JW for uh Chris Gomez to say something like that and and make a difference. The only reason why it had weight, though, is because of who JW is that all times the results that he gets in his business, the fact that that's not just a one off scenario, that he's willing to do that over and over and over again. So love that. Thank you, Jason, for for pulling that out of everybody.
