In this episode, we will talk about what Conversations is and what our podcast aims to achieve.

Hello everyone and welcome to the All Graduates Conversations Podcast.

My name is Fatih Karakas and I am the Trainer and Training and PD Coordinator at All Graduates Interpreting and Translation Services.

So, what is “Conversations”?

“Conversations” is the Professional Development division of All Graduates and as part of this PD initiative, we, at All Graduates have decided to launch a weekly podcast to complement our webinars and online courses.

Every episode, I will have a guest and we will have a conversation about current and hot topics related to the T and I industry as well as interpreting and translation related challenges and strategies. My guests will vary from T&I practitioners across Australia to key figures in the industry as well as expert names in other fields of practice that are intertwined with interpreting and translation.

Each episode will run for around 15-20 minutes and will be available via YouTube, Apple Podcast, Google Podcast and Spotify as well as the All Graduates website.

The purpose of our podcasts is to aid the professional development of translators and interpreters in Australia by providing them with easy to access T and I related content and current affairs in a conversational format.

Our inaugural episode will host RMIT University Master of Interpreting and Translation Program Manager, Dr Erika Gonzalez and we will talk about the importance of formal training of T&I practitioners as well as scholarships and their importance to our industry.

So, we hope you enjoy our “Conversations”.

My name is Fatih Karakas and I will see you all next week for our first episode!
