Associate Professor Marc Orlando is a Translating and Interpreting practitioner, researcher and trainer. He is also the coordinator of the AIIC (International Association of Conference Interpreters) research committee (https://aiic.org/site/RC).

In this episode we speak about the AIIC Research Committee as well his new position as Director of the Translation and Interpreting Program at Macquarie University.

Guest Bio: 

Marc Orlando is Associate Professor and Director of the Translation and Interpreting Program at Macquarie University.

He is the current coordinator of the Research Committee of AIIC, the International Association of Conference Interpreters. He is also a member of the NAATI Technical Reference and Advisory Committee (Australia). From 2018 to 2020, he acted as Vice President of CIUTI, the international conference of T&I university institutes, and as Chair of its Asia-Pacific Office. Before joining Macquarie University, Marc worked at Monash University for 12 years in Translation and Interpreting Studies.
