Jamie :I don't know. I don't know where it came from.
Lo :This is a new thing that I love that you do.

Lo :Yeah, I love that voice. I'm really into. Okay, so, poddy pod
Jamie :Guys, we're starting a podcast. Are you excited?
Lo :I mean, I'm nervous. Yeah, so I didn't realize Jamie was getting video ready for this little teaser. And she was like, please don't run around like a chicken with your head cut off. And I was like...
Jamie :Mind you it was your idea idea.
Lo :I know. It was my idea. And Alex was like, why are you freaking out? I was like, because it was my idea and it was it was a good idea because we can use it for promoting it before it actually comes out.
Jamie :Fingers crossed September 3 that's our that's our release date.
Lo :But we created this podcast--should we go into the why the name? Which I think a lot of people will be like why the fuck what is "Try Saying That Out Loud" even mean?
Jamie :Well let us tell you
Lo :I feel like-and Jamie interrupt me if I'm ever wrong-but I feel like...
Jamie :you don't need to tell me that *laughs*
Lo :True. This is true. Um, anyway I feel like we've both been on these individual-we're in these like weird crux of our lives (both of us) and we found each other at the strangest time. And everyone's having a weird moment of course, but I feel like in particular Jamie and I are like "What does life mean? What is going on?" And so we start we came up with the idea for this podcast before finding out figuring out the name and but I took inspiration from Schitt's Creek, which if anyone doesn't watch
Jamie :You should
Lo :I know, I like I sobbed when season five was over, not because of the content. Yeah, because I didn't realize that there was going to be a season six and I thought it was over forever. Yeah. It was terrible. Anyway, but at one point, David Rose goes in, and he has this quote where he's like, "I realized that I have one friend. Yeah, try saying that out loud. It's dark." And I was like, "try saying that out loud!!". It needs to be the name of the podcast.
Jamie :So good.
Lo :I feel like if we are anything Jamie and I are honest and explicit, probably with our emotions and our
Jamie :To a fault.
Lo :Right. Sometimes we say things or realize things about ourselves, and we text each other and we're like...
Jamie :"Oh, great. Thank you. Not a good look for me."
Lo :So anyway, so that's kind of the theme of the podcast. We're just going to generally talk and probably shoot the shit a little bit more than we do on our JLoReads segment and books will definitely be still involved.
Jamie :I mean, it's now we met.
Lo :Right, it's how we met so we're still gonna chat books we fingers crosse may start like interviewing authors of the books we really love because we try to kind of pull books out of the woodwork a little bit versus going for like the popular reads. And I don't know anything else J? What can you think of?
Jamie :Enneagram, astrology...
Lo :The moon and shit, for sure.
Jamie :So if you're into that, that will always come up. We're always talking about it.
Lo :Current events, shit we read that was interesting. I'll probably have some like emotional fucking article that I read and like cry on the Zoom. Like who knows?
Jamie :Stupid shit our husbands have said
Lo :...Like just before this J saw him like topless, dancing around the room. I was like "okayy please get out of here..."
Jamie :Anyway, so we'll be doing current events, lots of personality stuff, shooting the shit. Probably some explicit ratings in our episodes because we swear a lot. That's how we get met...

Lo :Oh and and the other day I said I sent a handful of ladies a sex position called the Butter Churner
Jamie :Butter churning bitch.
Lo :So, like, can we will talk about those? Because like logistically I have a tilted uterus and that hurts to look at.
Jamie :Right, might not work for you. Unless you're a dancer and then you can do it.
