Why Am I So Tired? 4 Spiritual Reasons You're Exhausted Right Now

You're not imagining it. The tiredness so many of us are feeling right now is real and it goes deeper than late nights or a busy week. It's the kind of exhausted that sleep doesn't quite fix, the kind that makes you wonder if something is actually wrong with you.

Why Tiredness Feels Different Now
ChristinaHi, and welcome back to Showing Up Whole, the place where we discuss alignment in mind, body, heart, and spirit in every aspect of our lives. And today, the aspect I want to explore with you is tiredness. Over the last few weeks, so many clients of mine have been mentioning how tired they feel. And while there are a range of different reasons why that might be the case, I've actually discovered that energetically, emotionally, a lot of different reasons, there are so many different causes that are bringing this in. So let's talk about it and let's clear it up. And hi, welcome back. Tiredness, oh my, it's affecting all of us. And what's fascinating about tiredness right now, is I don't know about you, but it feels slightly differently. I am actually not usually that tired. I sleep well, um, I function in the day. If I need a nap, I might take it, but it's not very often. I listen to my body and I go with how it flows. Um, I consider myself incredibly lucky to be able to navigate my life like that. Um, but tiredness is not usually something that I work through. Now, over this last month, I have not only had comments on my various social medias of people saying, ooh, you look tired. If anyone's seen Doctor Who, you know that the this can be quite a powerful statement. But even my son, when he was looking through my content the other day, because he has been studying different social media approaches and business concepts, he turned to me and he's like, Mom, you know what, you are looking a little tired. What? I was horrified. Okay, needed to be taking a little bit of a look at how that was functioning and what was actually going on. But what was interesting as well is the fact that over the last month, every time I've sat down with a client, the same phrase has come up. So tired. Why am I so exhausted? I'm not sleeping right, I'm just feeling so worn out. What's going on? I've had client after client come to me with that same complaint. And yes, I usually do work with women who are in perimenopause. Yes, I often work with parents who are run through the mill with various things, but this is different. And, you know, in my work, I always work with energy work and we do the energy clearings, and I intuitively can pick things up by watching people's body language and how they are speaking. I receive the information from them and I know that this is different. So, where is it coming from? What is the tiredness that we are starting to feel? Because it's not just usual functioning. Now, I I I'm gonna say, as a sideline, as a disclaimer, you know, 100%. If you are feeling really tired, you need to look at the physical reasons for that by all means. You know, you you check in to see if you're getting enough sleep, checking in all of your different physical functions that lead to feeling well rested, of course. And at the same time, let's also lean to some energy alignment within that. So I've found that there are three or four different causes that are bringing in this energy shift to make us all feel a little more tired than we usually are.
Shedding Old Stories Takes Energy
ChristinaFirst of all, let us remember that although we are supposed to be in numerologically a year of one, although we are supposed to be in the Chinese New Year of the Horse and we're supposed to have a vibrant amount of energy, we have all discovered that this is also a year of continued shedding. We are still shedding. We are shedding from the various things that have been happening. I know that I have been feeling these range of different things that have coming up. I've been talking to my clients, they're feeling the same thing, that there's shedding of old stories, of old identities. Things are closing still. We thought that that work was finished last year, but it hasn't. There is a sense of things coming to an end still that needs clearing out. Potentially, if we didn't clear things out from last year, if we didn't fully close chapters, you might find that you're still closing those chapters. And that shedding actually does take a lot of energy. It does take a lot of subconscious processing that can actually make you feel very tired. So if you are feeling tired, then by all means, it's not a bad idea to look in to see if there's things that need releasing that you are actually energetically still holding on to. This can come in from old patterns, old stories, uh even to the physical things of old things in your life that you know actually have closed, old chapters that need shutting down, and yet you're still trying to keep them open. It feels like sometimes people are holding a door open when it really needs to be shut. And it's time. So, you know, like it's like if you're holding something really heavy and it's you just get to that point where you really need to put it down, and yet you keep pushing through to hold it. That is what's energetically actually happening often lately, where people are still holding on to the things, but everything is up-leveled. You've moved on. So it's like trying to keep two worlds active at the same time. It's exhausting. So, with that being said, look to see if there's anything that you need to shed and let go of in order to let new energy in. All right. And I mean, to look through that, there's a range of different things you can do. Uh, you can journal through everything and start, even if you do subconscious journaling, you know, just start writing everything out to see if there's anything that comes up. Just keep writing without thinking about what you're writing. Just write and write and write. Usually I suggest that people write three pages a day. You do the old artist's way morning pages trick. If you haven't worked through that process, I highly recommend. Julia Cameron is the author. You know, you just do three pages, write subconsciously, every thought that's in your head, and allow it to flow out into the page. If you already know what you think you need to release, write about that. Set the intention of writing about it and looking at releasing. There are practices of releasing that you can also do, um, things like the hope no no, things like um energy work, different rituals that you can do to fully release. Clear it out. It's time. And if you're feeling tired from something that you need to shed, that means that it's draining your energy source. And it it needs to end. It needs to be cleared. You need to put it down. Okay. Now, interestingly enough, that's not the most common cause of everyone feeling drained
World Turmoil And Empath Overload
Christinaout. It's so interesting because it's really, it's not the common cause that I'm finding lately is really, really draining people. Now, one of the more common ones would be the fact that our world is in a lot of turmoil right now. There is a lot of things that are rising up. Um, there are a lot of shifts, a lot of changes, a lot of uncoverings, a lot of information that people are processing and absorbing. Um, there's a lot of uh tragedies. There's a lot of pain that if you are empathic, which you're here, I'm assuming that you are. Because of that, if you are picking up on everybody's energies, there's a good chance that you're actually carrying a lot of people's stuff. A lot of people's hurt, a lot of people's stories, a lot of people's pain. There's a good chance that you you might be taking part in a lot of energy from out there. This is a delicate one because as a sensitive person, you are staying in your truth to hold space for those. You are needing to help and support and send love. You are needing to be a present light. You know, we talk about, you often hear me talk about being a lighthouse in the world. You are being a lighthouse, not a lifeboat. It's not about trying to save everyone, but being a light, sending out hope, love, support, and helping as soon as someone becomes in your vicinity, then that is vitally important for the person that you are here to be. Now the caveat. If you're on social media, if you are consciously hunting out the information, um, and also if your algorithm has shifted in social media or in the world that you are residing in, then you want to make sure that you're not residing or resonating as the hurt more than the help. You want to make sure you're not resonating more with the hurt than the help. Not resonating with the fear more than the love. Now, there can be a lot of misunderstandings about this. And I'm actually just gonna say that it's misunderstandings because often people will say, you know, we can't be all love and light. And that's that's kind of the the common phrase in these kinds of things. It's like we need to accept the fact that bad things are happening. We do need to accept the fact that bad things are happening. It's not about burying your head in the sand and pretending that those things don't exist, but you do also have to hold the two resonance. And again, I another another concept that I'll often talk about is that, you know, when you see someone down a hole, it doesn't help to get into the hole with them. Rather, you have to hold the ladder. You cannot make anyone climb up the ladder, and there might be challenges in that hole that they don't know how to find the ladder. But you can bring the ladder, you can call words out from the other side of the hole, and you can help bring them up. But you cannot go into the ladder and be in there knowing that now both of you are stuck. This is nuanced, it's complicated. I'm not saying this is an easy thing, but you have to find the ways of holding the rope down into the hole so that you're not just jumping in there. So resonating with the hurt means that you're in the hole. And it means that in that hole, in that hurt, you're just draining out as well. Okay, so if you are finding yourself involved in world events, there's a variety of ways that you can actually counterbalance to be on the other side of the hole and making sure that you're holding space. First off, you have to find that nourishing practices that nourish you. You have to take your energy off of your attention off of whatever is hammering at you, that's draining you out, and reconnect to a spiritual source. The people who are suffering, the people who need help, they too might be having their own spiritual practices. You don't know what each individual story is. So you have to anchor yourself into your own sense of well-being. You need to ground more than ever before. You need to be plugging into your sense of spiritual source. You need to be asking for help and support, and you need to be actively working with your spiritual teams, however you perceive that to be, to surround not only yourself, but others. So you have to find the plugging in to more energy, to loving energy, to support, to all that is-ness, to love, you need to find your way of plugging into that. So therefore, then you can then share it with others. But if you're just jumping in the hole, that might be another reason why you're feeling really tired out. Okay. So we have a couple of more. But I want you to start to shift from a space of looking at your own tiredness, knowing you're tired. And as you know you're tired, then rather than just accepting it as tiredness and starting to target yourself, start poking around the why of why you're tired. Is it potentially because of literally too much absorption, too much distraction, or that shedding that we were talking about? Now, I'm just gonna take a little break. I'm just gonna have a drink of water, and then uh I want to tie dive into um a couple of the other causes of tiredness that I have been finding within my sessions, my community, and even myself. Curiosity Over Self Criticism
ChristinaOkay, and welcome back. Um, so what are we talking about? We're talking about this tiredness that seems to be kind of showing up in really strange ways. And it can be it can be from physical reasons. I'm not negating away from that. It can be from actual reasons why you're not sleeping, you're not getting enough deep sleep. It can be, you know, you maybe you've had too much coffee. Who knows? There could be a range of physical reasons why you're feeling tired. You could be really stressed, you could be having things happening in your own life, you could be dealing with a lot. We are not negating away from any of that, but I want to bring in a few different reasons why all of a sudden your body might be feeling like not only that it's just tired, but that it's actively doing other things that maybe you aren't aware of. Because this is how this works. Often our body is actually processing energy, subconscious emotions, subconscious thoughts, various things that are happening in the background programs. And when we're not aware of those, not only do we not have it within ourselves to help our systems process that, but we actually start negatively telling ourselves that something is wrong with us. We start becoming um critical or worried. Uh, we start to get extra stressed about why am I not sleeping or what is wrong with me. And it starts to then, you know, where attention goes, energy flows. As soon as we start criticizing ourselves, when really, then we're actually not, we're wearing ourselves out even more. So instead of actually being consciously aware of what could be wearing out your system, that could be making you feel more tired, that you are actually busy doing, then if you're not kind of exploring that, then there's a good chance that you're just actually going to wear yourself out more and it's going to become negative negatively impact your present day in different ways by you being critical with yourself. So,
Schumann Resonance And Energy Spikes
Christinanumber three. The third reason why you may be feeling extra tired is the processing of energy that's actually cosmically happening. Um, if you've watched this show at all or listened to this show for any period of time, you might remember the conversation that we had with that I had with Aaron Brown, Dr. Aaron Brown, who talked about the Sherman Resonance. If you haven't, by all means jump back, check it out, you'll find it very interesting. But, you know, if you watch her channel or her Instagram, or if you are aware of the Sherman Resonance anywhere that you go, and I do mention it quite a bit, especially this year, because we are finding that we are getting these massive spikes of energy. You know, even today, which today was a bit of a scrambly day, there was a lot of head traffic going on, and there were so many ways that we could have easily turned it on ourselves and been like, oh my goodness, what's wrong with me? But, you know, I went over, I checked to see what was happening on the Sherman resonance scale, and I saw these massive influxes of energy that were spiking within the Earth's resonance. And when it spikes within the Earth's resonance, we are picking up on that as well. We are sponges for that. So basically, what is happening, whether whether it comes from things like solar flares or things like that I don't even understand, whatever it is, we receive these influxes of energy that then is absorbed by the earth and absorbed by us. It's like processing massive lightning bolts of energy. And all that energy, be it providing you with opportunities for fueling up levels or manifestations or fueling whatever you're focused on, it's going to need to be processed through in your system. So it literally think of yourself as a sponge or a filtration system. Oh yeah, it's a filtration system. So you are there, you receive this influx of energy, and suddenly it has to flow through not only all your chakras and align within yourself, but it's also absorbing through all of every one of your cells. Every aspect of your body is absorbing this energy and needing to process it. I literally have been feeling buzzy the last couple of days. I've noticed that my hands and my feet, it's like energy is pouring from them. And it was so fascinating that it only took me till this morning to actually check the Sherman Resonance scale where after this has been happening for a few days. Something I was like, oh yeah, uh, that's why I'm buzzing. It's because I am processing all of this energy. Now, some people find that that can actually bring up headaches, it can bring up, you know, weird focus things where you can't like quite settle on an idea or you don't quite know what you're doing. It can make you feel like you know, it can affect your digestion. It kind of depends where you are in alignment with your chakras and how you are processing energy through your whole energetic system. Uh, don't forget, if you haven't already, by all means make sure that you do download my new guide to the chakras because within that, I do tell you how to navigate through where you are needing to realign your chakras. What are the signs of the different chakras when they're blocked up? So just be aware of that. Now, with all of that energy is coming through, other than working through your energy, working through your chakras, making sure that you're grounding, drinking loads of water, it really is a process of allowing, not resisting, not trying to make sure that you force everything into a tight box, making sure that you try to keep everything under control, even making sure that you don't try to just keep everything the same. It's a question of listening to how you're feeling, asking your body what you need, asking your heart what she needs, and doing your best within your daily routine to listen to that. Certain foods, amount of water, whether you need to get outside, going for a walk, resting, what does your body need? That's gonna help you process a lot of that energy faster. And you're gonna find that the more you process it, then you're gonna find that you feel a little bit more in your usual flow. Okay, now finally. This
Deep Sleep And Soul Journeys
Christinaone comes up a lot lately, and I think it's an important thing to explore. And it might sound a little out there, but you know, one of the reasons we can feel tired is because we don't necessarily get the right amount of deep, deep sleep that we're actually not resting. I don't know about you, but I have been having some very vivid dreams. And yes, it can by all means come from the various influxes of energy that we are receiving, and it comes from all different ways, shapes, and forms. But one reason why we can sometimes not get well rested at night, feel tired in the day, is because actually when we're sleeping, we're not resting. Sleep is a fascinating thing to explore, and when you think about it, you know, I can't remember who it was that said it, but someone was like, you know, our bodies are designed to go. Rest is important, but sleep is also a soul thing. Sleep is a chance for our soul energies, our whole selves, our spiritual selves, our essences to explore other things. It's almost like we take a break from physical reality and we actually can take a step back and refuel and explore other aspects of the universe. So there are a lot of people who would tell you, and I have actually come to believe this quite deeply, that when you go to sleep, sometimes, sometimes as a soul, you do actually go on other journeys and even on rescue missions. We once had a friend years ago who was a very, very good medium and channel, um, literally transformed in front of us at some times. We'd be talking to him, and he would just other other people would kind of come forward and speak through him. It was fascinating to watch. It was when my husband and I first got together, and he was um had come from a number of various channelers, and he lived in this house where he had it had been, he'd inherited it. And you're sitting there in a chair and you're watching, talking, talking to him, and all of a sudden his whole face would transform and he would pass on these phenomenal messages. Um and he would talk about how sometimes he would get tired because he had been on soul missions when he was sleeping. We can do these things. Sometimes we are needed in various ways. And as empathic, sensitive people in a world which is forever expanding, we are developing more and more understandings about you know interdimensional concepts of life. Uh we are expanding to different concepts of how reality works. And the truth is, as souls, we connect with other souls, and sometimes other souls need support and help. So, within that, there's a very good chance that when you're asleep, you're working, you're doing things to make the world a better place. And so if you wake up and suddenly you're tired still, or you find yourself looking tired, or you find yourself midday feeling tired, there is a chance that maybe you are actually helping and supporting others through the night. Now, I don't know how that makes you feel. And quite honestly, I don't know how sometimes it makes me feel. And there are nights that I have basically told my soul self and my spirit team and the universe itself, not tonight. I'm tired. I need to take care of me.
Inflow Practices That Refill You
ChristinaAnd I think that's how I really want to make sure that I think if if there's a message that I want to pass on for this episode, it is really to make sure that you really give a lot of attention to whether you are in outflow or inflow right now. I've been talking about this in my community, I've been talking about this with clients, I think I've even done a couple of reels about this. Because right now I find that there is this natural tendency, and you'll notice in a lot of the reasons why I'm saying that there's tiredness, there's a deep tendency to have outflow. I can almost feel it in my body and even in my skin, this kind of sense of automatically outflow, outflow, outflow. You might be finding that you are looking for who you can help a little bit more or being more mindful of what your kids need or what your partner needs or what your community needs, and feeling this kind of extension of self. If that's the case, then like I was saying earlier, it's really important to make sure that you're having your inflow. You're plugging into the universe. How are you connecting to your sense of source? That can be everything from meditation and prayer to grounding or just a quick, hey, I'm here, let's show up whole today. There is so many ways that you can connect. It's what I work on with clients all the time. From that to, there's a sense of receiving. I was teaching a class on Friday and we were talking about receiving beauty, receiving the phenomenal experiences of beauty that are around us. Even if you look at a sunrise or a sunset, I don't see sunrise, I see sunsets, but if you look at the sunset and you actually just say, it's a gift. This is actually meant for me. I love looking at sunsets and actually just going, wow, thank you so much for me, thank you, and truly deeply appreciating it. Because when you actually appreciate it from that personal level, you receive the inflow energy, the love of the universe, the love of what you're sharing with others, the love that you want to share with others, the love that you want to spread out into the world, you have to receive it before you can share it. It can come from listening to birds, noticing anything in nature. It can come from a deep appreciation practice. I'm not talking a gratitude list. Go deeper. Deeply appreciate the things in your life. Allow that to refuel you. It can come from talking to your heart, putting your hand on your heart and literally telling yourself that you are loved, that you are cared for. Allow your heart to come up to your hand and guide you. You have to find the inflow. We cannot run on empty. We didn't come here to run on empty. And the if you're running on empty, it means that there is a vast amount of spiritual energy and spiritual support that is flowing to you directly at this point in time, asking for you to let it in. So let it in. Let it in. And then get curious that if you find those moments, and it can only be, it only has to be moments. It doesn't have to be long periods of time. When you find that, practice of those simple inflow receiving moments, those plugging in moments where you actually plug into the electricity of the universe, and by plugging in, you can receive all the energies that's available to you. When you focus on the light of the world, on the beauty, on the goodness, and you allow that to permeate through you, then find out if you're tired, then lean in to seeing how tired you feel or look, and explore how that resonates deep within you. Because again, like all of showing up whole is about observing yourself, asking yourself what is needed, asking yourself how you need to show up and what you need to add and how you need to go deeper or wider or fuller, how you need to release. But it all starts with that observation of yourself and asking yourself how you're really feeling. So there you go. Inflow, inflow, inflow. It's so vitally important. Fill that cup up and then see how the energy feels.
