 Our stories this week include: (1) The Pope's comments on retired Chinese Cardinal Joseph Zen, whose show trial was set to begin this week in Hong Kong but has been postponed to next week, as well as Francis' thoughts about his trip to Kazakhstan (specifically, the World Religions Congress); (2) approval for the "blessing" of homosexual unions by the Catholic bishops of Belgium and Archbishop Vigano's response; (3) an overview of the "U.S. National Synthesis," a document published by the USCCB which summarizes the results of the diocesan phase of the Synod on Synodality in the U.S.; (4) an encouraging report from France which shows that a significant number of French seminarians want the Traditional Latin Mass; and (5) a public correction of a grave error present in the Pope's latest Apostolic Letter, Desiderio Desideravi (on the Liturgical Formation of the People of God).
