Dalip Shekhawat is a passionate educator, mountaineer, and ultra runner who grew up in the Himalayas and now calls Winnipeg home. Dalip has climbed over fifteen mountain peaks including Mt. Everest on May 16, 2019. He works at St. Amant school as a special education teacher and he is also a member of Royal Winnipeg Rifles, a primary reserve infantry regiment of the Canadian Forces.
Dalip found his passion for running during his training for Mt. Everest but has continued racking up the miles ever since. As a way to give back, he has raised funds for multiple charitable organizations through his running including the St. Amant Foundation and Wounded Warriors. Last year he founded the Rising Runners running group. Dalip is a husband and father of two boys as well as a brand ambassador for Salming Canada.
