If so, you are very likely carrying the medicine of the Crow. With Crow medicine you speak in a powerful voice addressing issues that are out of balance in this world today. Overall, the crow is a smart, social and curious bird, often symbolizing change. Some Native American cultures believe that if several scattered crows all of a sudden fly together to one place, it means to be on the lookout for enemies and be aware of change. In England, a crow on the roof foretold death or misfortune for that home's inhabitants. In Germany, crows and ravens were thought to be able to find souls of the dead. Swedes believed that their croaking caw were the voices of murdered people who had not been properly buried. An Irish superstition stated that crows were actually fairies bent on mischief and trickery. In ancient folklore, there are many dark superstitions about crows, involving ghosts, fairies, witches, death, and even symbolizing the devil. I find it very interesting that crows can imitate human speech and appear to be speaking multiple languages. Because they gather in large roosts they can be very noisy, producing harsh, disturbing sounds.

I find it very interesting that crows can imitate human speech and appear to be speaking multiple languages. Because they gather in large roosts, they can be very noisy, producing harsh, disturbing sounds. Because crows are usually found in groups. There are several myths that turn around citing a single crow. In France, seeing a single crow when you wake up in the morning, symbolizes that there will be a death in the family. In Japan, seeing a single crowd during the day means death. While seeing one at night time means good luck. In Korea, if you see a crow while walking, you should turn back around because the crow symbolizes danger or misfortune is ahead. On the opposite side, seeing a crow in New Zealand represents good luck and success on the way. The crow is a very symbolic animal in Native American culture, often associated with renewal and rebirth. Many tribes have myths and legends linking the crow to creation. One story involves a crow guiding an old buffalo to water, which gifted the Earth with a much-needed heavy rainfall. Because of this act of kindness, the buffaloes transformed into humans, who became the ancestors to many of those tribes in Northern America, according to the story. In other fables, the crow was responsible for fixing the sun, moon and the stars in the sky, and then stealing fire from the heavens to give it to the humans on Earth. The crows' ability to see in all directions at once is associated with the great spirit and that crows see everything that is happening on Earth as well as in the heavens. In the Mayan culture, they viewed anyone with crossed eyes as being able to see into the future with Crow- like visit vision, and they went to those people for guidance. With their piercing knowing eyes, distinctive voice, acrobatic flight, and human-like sounding voice, a visit from a highly intelligent Crow can feel like a very special occasion. Renowned for their problem solving and curiosity, cleverness, their memory and power to uncover the unknown. Crow medicine can bring magic, energy and healing into our lives. Contrary to the evils of ancient folklore, crows are known to have excellent memories, recognize people in their communities, use tools to gather food, and even make branches into toys, as well as work together to find food as a community. They are quick, lively birds who will easily find solutions to obstacles in their way. Crows show us that when we use our creative problem-solving skills, we can achieve things that we may have previously thought to be impossible to achieve. What serious problem in your life right now could benefit from a more lighthearted, curious approach that crow spirit can provide?
