Archangel Series: Archangel Michael

What Archangel comes in with a fiery energy and carries a sword? Archangel Michael, whose name in Hebrew means “he who is like God” ... That's who! Michael is the topic of this week's podcast episode in our mini-series on archangels, and has been an inspiration to many leaders, healers and educators across history. 

In the Garden of Eden, Michael was credited with teaching Adam how to farm and care for his family. Later, Joan of Arc told her Inquisitors that it was Archangel Michael, who gave her the strength and courage to lead France during the 100-year war. He was heralded as St. Michael more recently in 1950 by police officers…crediting heroic deeds and bravery. Michael's chief function is to rid the earth of negativity, anxiety, and fear. Michael carries a lightsaber sword, and you may see sparkles of flashes of bright blue or purple and gold light. Michael is a fiery energy and his presence is almost like being too close to a bonfire's heat.

This archangel also has an incredible gift for fixing modern day mechanical devices, including computers, and all other types of electronics. Archangel Michael guides and directs those who feel lost or stuck in response to their life's purpose or career path. He helps the unmotivated or fearful take action. Michael also provides clear guidance about which steps a person should take next. He helps with commitment and dedication to one's belief, courage, direction, energy and vitality. All aspects of life purpose protection and space clearing, motivation and different types of releasement, worthiness and increased self-esteem. 

If you would like to use crystals to boost your work with Archangel Michael, try fluoride, smoky quartz, pyrite, black obsidian, or a clear quartz crystal generator as with all the other Archangels. If you would like to apply essential oils in your work with Michael, try sandalwood, juniper, sage, lavender, or cinnamon bark. Michael is one of the four main Archangels that I call on to create a sacred healing space. He is traditionally associated with the direction of the South and the symbol of the serpent, reminding us to shed our past mistakes similar to a snake shedding its skin. Michael has appeared at the solar plexus chakra where the ribs come together in my healing space with high anxiety clients.
